The AI Scam and the Coming Crash
2026/09/12
Kieran interviews David Gerard, author of Attack of the 50 Foot Blockchain, who discusses the continuity of grift that saw the crypto bros pivot to AI for their next scam. This forced David to also pivot to AI by starting a blog and youtube channel called “Pivot to AI”. David is at pains to stress that this is not really a tech story, it is a financial and economic story above all else. Unlike related tech, the LLM technology of the headlining hyperscalers is not a viable industry. The bubble must burst at some point. The grifters are extending the scam to try to flog the worthless equity off before then. The bubble burst will very likely create more that just a recession. David’s advice is to compost or tax billionaires out of existence. And also to start helping those around you, because we are going to need to look after each other. pivot-to-ai.com This episode’s co-hostsKieran Intro/Outro by Jiahu Symbols Support us here: https://www.patreon.com/1of200

1/200 Campaign Season E19 - The Racist Rhetoric of Winston Peters
2026/08/16
The Migrant Workers Association organised a protest against the rising tide of racist and anti immigrant rhetoric from political parties and leaders as the elections near. Winston Peters' racist tirade against Lawrence Xu-nan in parliament, alongside his party's anti immigrant rhetoric aimed at harnessing votes by dividing the working class and distracting from failures of their policies were key issues that motivated the protest. The protest featured satirical street theater, which evoked a triggered response from Winston Peters. Among other things, we discuss the contradictions within Winston Peters' politics and the history and intent of street theater within protest movements. 2026/07/29
The recent student-led uprising in India received international attention and forced concessions from the Modi government which was long seen as having few formidable political challengers at the national level. The movement has put a dent on the notion that the corporate-BJP nexus in India is infallible.
