Ket tells Kim about Sam Raimi’s “do-over” of the first Evil Dead - Evil Dead II. They doubled the budget to this one, godbless’em, to $4.12, and listen… bravo. If anyone would like to join Ketryn’s Bruce Campbell fan club, let us know. Stay tuned for part 2 of Ket’s Fangirl Frenzy with the second half of Evil Dead II. Dir. Kim finishes telling Ket about Ready or Not 2: Here I Come. We’re still unclear about the arm-holding-an-arm-holding-a-spike weapon but we remain crystal clear about how hot Shawn Hatosy is. Kim tells Ket about the highly anticipated Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, written by friend of the pod - Guy Busick. What it SHOULD have been called was Ready or Not 2: Many Queens! We got our girl Samara, kid sister Kathryn Newton and QUEEN EFFING BEE HERSELF, Sarah Michelle Gellar! It’s almost too much to handle. Ket finishes telling Kim about Cold Storage. If Kim had read the book about mushrooms she gave to Ket, she’d know that fungus is JUST as worthy of paralyzing terror as haunty demons. But luckily, an entire generation was prepared for slimy piles of fungal zombie by watching Double Dare. Most importantly, we’ll learn if Kim will live or die in Cold Storage. Dir. Ket begins to tell Kim the tale of Cold Storage. In an effort to cool off from the god-forsaken heat wave, Ket chose a movie titled the place in which she’d like to live: Cold Storage. However, all she got was killer Fungus from space (that’s apparently real???) Not even Shebacon can save us. Stay tuned to see if the girls cool off in part 2. Dir. Kim tells Ket the first half of Undertone, a horror movie about people who have a podcast but no consistent release schedule. Kim can’t blame Ket this time for making it so she can’t sleep. She scared HERSELF this time. But don’t worry! Who better to keep Rami from getting demon’d than a demon! Jerry to the rescue. Ket finishes kill- I mean TELLING Kim the end of Lee Cronin’s The Mummy. Ket would like to extend her heartfelt apology to the Samily because this movie appears to have broken her. Ket tells Kim about Lee Cronin’s The Mummy, not to be confused with the Brendan Fraser sex-fest from the 90s. This one appears to have been Kim’s limit. And suddenly, Creepy Crapbags look a lot less creepy and a lot less containing-of-much crap. Stay tuned for part 2 to find out which song will be replacing “You Are My Sunshine” as Rami’s lullaby. Kim tells Ket our next Patreon pick for our Summer Horror Series. Boy, oh, boy! Sammies sure love torturing Ket with water ghouls, don’t they? Between the heat, perimenopause, water trauma and Kim NOT explicitly telling Ket to put her brain hat on… hopes are low. Stay tuned next week to see Ket get croc’ed and rocked. Dir. We are joined once again (as we are for episode 6 of every season) by the hilarious Kim Burns, Ket's co-host from KIM & KET STAY ALIVE... MAYBE! This week is an emotional roller coaster -- Kim is mad that we made her watch a sad episode instead of a silly romp like before, both Kim & Ket have VERY strong feelings about a certain little housebroken homewrecker... and the phrase "dumb dog bone bitch" gets said no less than 800 million times! We break it all down on this week's Major Slayage. Kicking off our “Summer Horror Series,” voted on by our Sammies on Patreon, Ket tells Kim about In a Violent Nature. The game takes a different turn where Kim will go head to head with a Jason-y type guy in a competition to see who will have the most creative kill. Points are judged on a 4-point rubric.
