Copy, Moon Joy
2026/05/01
I went live for a special “Copy, Moon Joy” edition of I Think This Is Great!, and I have a lot to say about space. 🚀
I just got back from a solo trip to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in D.C., and I’m breaking down why the NASA Artemis II mission is one of the most incredible things happening in our lifetimes—and why more people should be paying attention. I’m walking through the full history of exploration, from Yuri Gagarin and Alan Shepard to Apollo 11, the ISS, and now the Artemis II crewed flyby of the moon for the first time in over 50 years.
I also share the story of where I was when Artemis II splashed down, why competition breeds innovation, and why humanity’s best work happens when we actually work together.
Plus: seeing Alan Shepard’s space suit, the USS Enterprise lighting up, total Star Trek: First Contact vibes, a cat cameo, and an announcement I made at a dance party that absolutely no one heard.
I Think This Is Great! is a podcast and live show about the things that make life worth talking about—pop culture, history, science, and whatever else is on my mind.

CNF50 Is Dead! 2025 NYE LiveStream
CNF50isDEAD!
2025 is finished. #CNF50 was the journey through that year—my response to the cultural milestone of #SNL50—but now that year is done. #CNF50isDEAD means we are moving into the new year, leaving the old way of doing things behind.
This is the full breakdown of everything that defined 2025. From the Mad Men marathons and the deep dives into Star Trek and Pluribus, to the dental surgery recovery, hitting the big 5-0, and bringing home Vincent Von Cat.
From the grind of the events industry to the highs of the stand-up stage and the community that showed up for it all, this is the final look back before we start what’s next. A new podcast?

Who Let the Dogs Out with Ben Sisto
2025/07/17
Today, I am joined by old friend and fellow MassArt alum Ben Sisto to discuss his acclaimed documentary, Who Let The Dogs Out (2019), ahead of his upcoming screening with a Q&A at Alamo Drafthouse in Boston. We talk about SIM (Studio for Interrelated Media at MassArt), a surprise guest at Fort Thunder, Providence and delaying projects during the pandemic! Celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Baha Men classic with Ben for a Q & A at the Alamo Drafthouse in the Seaport on Tuesday, July 22nd.
Who Let the Dogs Out (Hodgee Films, 2019)
Only Boston Screening!
Tuesday July 22
Alamo Drafthouse Cinema
60 Seaport Blvd., Boston MA, 02210
In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Baha Men's global pop sensation, Who Let the Dogs Out, OPEN is presenting screenings of Who Let the Dogs Out, a documentary film following artist Ben Sisto from Seattle to the UK as he attempts to gently nudge-back against the concept of individual authorship in favor of a view that art is a collective process. Produced by Hodgee Films, Who Let the Dogs Out made its debut at SXSW (2019), was a hit at Hot Docs (Toronto), and was later adapted into an episode of the popular podcast 99% Invisible. In addition to the Boston screening, the film will play at the Providence Public Library alongside Sisto’s collection of some 300 pieces of research materials and ephemera.
The Boston screening will be followed by a live Q&A with Who Let the Dogs Out writer Ben Sisto and critic Oscar Goff of The Boston Hassle.
Some kind words:
"…niftily balances a tightrope equation of “how much is this a white paper and how much is this an entertaining movie,” — Observer
You’ll never hear that damn song the same way again, that’s for certain." – POV Magazine
It’s all just very confusing." –A/V Club
About Ben:
Ben Sisto is an artist who lives in Providence, RI with his family, including a dog called Andie. He is the world's leading expert (unchallenged) on Who Let the Dogs Out. Back in the 2000s, Ben lived in Boston where he organized many concerts, parties, and flea markets at places like Mass Art, Great Scott, and The Milky Way.

WeWork is Broken
2023/12/11
My girlfriend, Stacey, would be surprised (and delighted) to know that I was not responsible for breaking this particular coffee mug.
She recently told me that she expects at least one thing to be broken while she goes away (which she does often). “Well, F**k You!” I think I said (which I most certainly didn’t). Fair enough. I never started that punk band “Accident Prone” after drawing many anarchy “circle A” logos, complete with a charged-up punk with a broken leg braced up and in full leather. Let me tell you about my stage broken leg sometime. I guess I did end up in the ‘cast’ (more like a Moon Boot for an entire year, the closest I will ever be to an astronaut, too).

Identical Cousins presents
WE ‘R’ ALL PEE-WEE
A tribute to Pee Wee Herman at Crystal Ballroom on November 26th.
Screen Pee Wee’s Big Adventure at Somerville Theatre followed by Immersive Performance After Party in Crystal Ballroom.
What other entertainer has had the sheer cultural, aesthetic, and psychic impact of Pee-Wee Herman (aka Paul Reubens 1952–2023 R.I.P.-W,)—let alone one so subversive, deranged, arty, and queer?!
Sunday November 26th, cast off your Thanksgiving torpor with your own Big Adventure, as the Somerville Theatre & Crystal Ballroom X Identical Cousins grants your wish to fly directly into the heart of the Playhouse. After a screening of Tim Burton’s revolutionary 1985 film (served with a warm-up of highlights of the TV show), float upstairs to the ballroom for a raucous celebration of the icon’s legacy.
A Super Friends-style cast includes comedy (co-hosting: Tooky Kavanaugh, Angela Sawyer), drag (Celia Smokinbutts, Luke Warm), and oodles of live music from Pee-Wee’s universe, featuring local luminaries like Red Sox organist Josh Kantor, Patriots / Bruins deejay T. J. Connelly as D.J. Conky-2000, rock gods Hilken Mancini (as Cyndi Lauper / Pee Wee Aerobics for puppets) and Thalia Zedek (brass/winds), Teenbeat Records’ Cotton Candy (’80s commercial breaks), and a Walter Sickert cameo.
Inhabit Pee-Wee’s world with an immersive bicycle photobooth, an interactive Picture Phone, cartoons fit for a King, a Burton-esque nightmare installation, a Pee-Gee-Rated Peepshow, a commemorative activity book, on-theme cocktails, and reimagined Playhouse sets and props galore. Bust out your best elevator shoes for a Tequila dance party—bonus points and a shot at a prize for wearing your favorite Pee-Wee & friends costumes.
The Word of the Day is…you’ll just have to join the party to find out!
Note: your ticket to the after party grants you free admission to the film.
