A Disciple Obeys
2026/10/18
Pastor Jim explores what it means to follow Jesus through grace-motivated obedience. Drawing from John 14, he explains that obedience is not about earning God's love or following rules out of fear, but responding to the love and grace we have already received through Christ. As we grow in our relationship with Jesus, the Holy Spirit empowers us to trust Him, follow His commands, and reflect His character in every area of life. This ongoing cycle of love, trust, and obedience deepens our faith and allows others to see Jesus through the way we live.
A Disciple Loves
2026/10/11
Pastor Jim explores what it means to be a disciple who loves God and others. Drawing from Matthew 22 and 1 John 4, he explains that love is more than a feeling or an act of kindness. It is an action rooted in God for the genuine good of another. Because God first loved us through Jesus, we are called to respond by walking in His ways and demonstrating patience, kindness, grace, and selfless service toward others. While genuine love always comes at a cost, Christ has already provided everything we need to love faithfully. When disciples love as Jesus loves, the world sees the transforming power of the gospel.
A Disciple Knows God in Relationship
2026/10/04
Tony Steck explores Jesus’ call in John 15 to abide in Him as the true vine. Rather than trying to produce spiritual fruit through our own effort, disciples are invited to remain connected to Jesus through relationship, prayer, Scripture, and loving obedience. As we trust the Father’s purposeful pruning and remain in Christ, He transforms our lives and produces lasting fruit marked by love, joy, and faithful participation in His mission.
A Disciple Knows God in Salvation
2026/09/27
Pastor Jim explores what it means for a disciple to truly know God. Through Jesus’ conversation with Nicodemus in John 3, he explains that knowing God begins not with good behavior or religious knowledge, but with being born again through God’s grace. That new birth gives us a new heart, a new Spirit-led way of life, and a new family in the people of God. Discipleship, then, is an ongoing life of receiving God’s grace, growing in relationship with Him, and allowing Him to transform how we live.
What is a Disciple?
2026/09/20
Pastor Jim explores what it truly means to be a disciple of Jesus. In Mark 1, Jesus’ call to His first followers shows that discipleship is more than believing the right things or making a one-time decision. It is a lifelong journey of knowing God, lovingly walking in His way, and allowing Jesus to shape how we live, work, relate, and serve in the ordinary moments of life.
Acts 6 - More People, More Multiplication
2026/09/14
In this message from Acts 6, Pastor Jim explores how healthy church growth requires Spirit-empowered multiplication. As the early church grew, new needs and complexities emerged, prompting believers to empower gifted people to serve while keeping prayer and the ministry of the Word central. In the same way, the church is called to use its gifts, care for one another, and embrace new opportunities for ministry so that more people can find hope in Jesus.
Psalm 145 - God's People
2026/09/07
In this message from Psalm 145, Pastor Jim closes the summer Psalms series by reflecting on the greatness, faithfulness, compassion, and nearness of God. Psalm 145 presents an “A to Z” picture of a King whose kingdom lasts forever, yet who draws near to those who call on Him, lifts up those who have fallen, and cares for those who are bowed down. Because Jesus reveals this God fully by coming near to us in our brokenness, the church is called to respond with worship, meditation, proclamation, and by passing the story of God’s goodness to the next generation.
Psalm 103 - God's Forgiveness & Healing
2026/08/23
In this message from Psalm 103, Jim explores David’s call to “forget not all His benefits” and remember the depth of God’s mercy toward His people. Those benefits include forgiveness, healing, redemption, steadfast love, compassion, and the care of a Father who remembers that we are dust. The psalm ultimately points to Jesus, where punishment and forgiveness meet at the cross and where believers are invited into the new covenant through confession, communion, prayer, and obedience. Remembering what God has done reshapes our worship and reminds us to bring both our sin and our needs to a Father who is merciful, gracious, and abounding in steadfast love.
Psalm 73 - God's Gracious Presence
2026/08/16
In this message from Psalm 73, Jim explores Asaph’s struggle with a question many believers encounter: Why do people who disregard God seem to prosper while those trying to follow Him struggle? Asaph’s envy and frustration nearly cause him to lose his footing until he enters the presence of God and gains a different perspective. There, he not only sees the temporary nature of worldly prosperity, but also confronts the self-righteousness and self-pity within his own heart. Psalm 73 ultimately points to the greater gift believers already possess: God Himself. Through Christ, we are grasped, guided, and promised future glory. When the world leaves us confused, disappointed, or envious, we can draw near to God and find clarity in His presence.
Psalm 130 - A Song of Ascents.
2026/08/11
In this message from Psalm 130, Ryan explores one of the Songs of Ascent and its enduring message of forgiveness, hope, and redemption. From the depths of despair, the psalmist cries out to God and discovers that our hope is not found in achieving perfection, but in the God who forgives and redeems. Ryan connects this ancient song to Jesus, who provides the redemption the people of God had been waiting for, and shares personally about a season when others helped remind him of that hope. The message challenges us to keep pointing one another toward Jesus, especially when someone cannot see the light for themselves.
Psalms 63 - God's Soul-Satisfying Love
2026/08/02
In this message from Psalm 63, Jake explores how David seeks God while facing loss, uncertainty, and isolation in the wilderness. Rather than longing primarily for comfort or restored circumstances, David declares that God’s love is better than life and trusts that only God can satisfy his deepest thirst. The message encourages believers to pursue God in every season by praising Him, remembering His promises, and intentionally directing their thoughts toward Him. Because Jesus has opened the way into God’s presence, even seasons of spiritual dryness can become opportunities to seek Him more deeply and rediscover His power, glory, and unfailing love.
Psalm 121 - God's Covenant Help
2026/07/27
In this message from Psalm 121, Pastor Jim explores what it means to find hope, help, and home in God while traveling through the difficulties of life. Written for God’s covenant people on a journey, the psalm does not promise a life without suffering, but assures believers that God faithfully watches over, guides, and sustains His people through every hardship. Biblical hope honestly acknowledges pain and uncertainty while still trusting God’s character and promises. Through Jesus, believers are welcomed into God’s family and given an ever-present helper who will keep them secure throughout the journey and lead them safely home.
Psalm 146 - God's Justice
2026/07/20
In this message from Psalm 146, Pastor Jim explores the justice of God and why His people are called to reflect it in the world. Unlike earthly leaders whose plans eventually perish, God reigns forever, remains faithful, and actively cares for the oppressed, the hungry, the imprisoned, the blind, the fatherless, the widow, and the stranger. Jesus reveals this justice fully by drawing near to the vulnerable, welcoming outsiders, and enduring injustice Himself to bring forgiveness and freedom. Because God has rescued and raised us up, we are called to praise Him, do justice, love mercy, and join His work of bringing healing and wholeness to others.
Psalm 33 - God's Sovereignty
2026/07/12
In this message from Psalm 33, Pastor Jim explores why our hope belongs in God rather than in our own plans, strength, or circumstances. Because God is faithful, righteous, just, and full of unfailing love, we can trust His character even when we cannot see how our stories will unfold. His fatherly care reminds us that He sees our needs, while His sovereignty assures us that His purposes will stand through every generation. The cross and resurrection ultimately reveal that even when evil appears to prevail, God is still working for His glory and the good of His people.
Psalm 96 - Sing a New Song
2026/07/06
In this message from Psalm 96, Pastor Jim explores worship as a response to who God is, what He has done, and the salvation He brings. He shows how worship is more than singing on Sunday, but a daily proclamation that the Lord reigns. As God’s people declare His glory, worship becomes mission, pointing the nations to the King who rules with righteousness, justice, and truth. Ultimately, Psalm 96 reminds us that all creation will rejoice when God makes all things new through Jesus.
