The English Patient
2026/01/30
We're back again, and we're a bit less excited to talk about The English Patient and the Oscars in the 90's. The film is a bit of a miss for both of the guys, but so close to being one of Connor's top 5 favorites. Jon just wants to send Ralph Fiennes to jail, and Connor is befuddled as to why so much of the press and BTS surrounding the film was just about Michael Ondaatje.

Connor shares many stories about his viewing experiences and Jon loves the scope and wishes for more films like this.

2024/03/18
Connor & Jon bring on the final sibling, one Dima Skinner, to discuss the not-so-humble beginnings of the Fast and the Furious franchise. Jon's opinion wavers back and forth as to whether it is a rip-off of Point Break, Dima can't stand the nonsense car lingo, and Connor brings forth a defense for Keanu Reeves.

Lockout
2023/08/21
Connor & Jon get sent to space prison or Manhattan prison as they examine the weird Euro-action b-movie Lockout, and it's definite point of inspiration Escape from New York. They examine the actual legal action that was taken against Lockout and decipher how original of an idea did Luc Besson have? Jon thinks there's a better bad movie that could have been made, Connor is annoyed at the rules of space this film breaks, and both question the place of Snake Plissken in 80s' and modern action films.

A Fistful of Dollars
2023/08/09
Connor & Jon mosey on down to the ol' West/feudal Japan to consume one of the greatest spaghetti Westerns of all time: A Fistful of Dollars! Since there was a legal dispute over this film, does it automatically make it a rip off of Yojimbo? Connor gets way too worked up over a Rotten Tomatoes Top 100 list, Jon wants to propose to Morricone's score, and the two try to hold the show together through Covid and technical malfunctions.
