Maul Shadow Lord Eps 3 & 4 Deep Dive: Is He Already Turning Devon to the Dark Side?
2026/04/16
Matt and Nick went live this week for a full deep dive into Maul Shadow Lord Chapters 3 and 4, Whispers in the Unknown and Pride and Vengeance. The guys broke down their personal reviews of both episodes, hit their top moments, and dug into the Easter eggs and lore connections tying this series back to the broader Star Wars universe. The main talking point of the night centered on Maul as a master manipulator. In Episode 3, Maul gets Devon Izawa alone, shares his version of his history, and lets her hold his lightsaber blade — and the Dark Side calls to her through it. He then lets her walk away. Matt and Nick debated whether that move was calculated seduction or Maul genuinely testing her, and whether Devon is already further down the path than she realizes. The question of whether Maul is getting inside her head and slowly steering her toward his view of how the Force should be wielded was front and center all night. The guys also looked ahead to Episodes 5 and 6, titled Inquisition and Night of the Hunted, dropping next Monday April 20, and laid out their predictions for where the story is heading now that Daki is injured and the Empire may be closing in on Janix. Maul Shadow Lord Premiere Review: Our Honest Takes, Top Moments & Predictions
2026/04/09
Maul Shadow Lord Premiere Review: Our Honest Takes, Top Moments & Predictions Matt and Young Nick went live to break down the two-episode premiere of Star Wars: Maul Shadow Lord, and there was plenty to dig into. The guys gave their full personal reviews of Chapter 1: The Dark Revenge and Chapter 2: Sinister Schemes, covering everything from the show's gritty crime noir tone and stunning watercolor-influenced animation to how this post-Order 66 version of Maul compares to where we left him at the end of The Clone Wars. The deep dive covered top moments from both episodes, easter eggs and lore connections hiding across Janix, and a close look at Devon Izara and what her dynamic with Maul could mean as the season develops. Maul is hunting the crime lords who betrayed him after the fall of the Shadow Collective, and Matt and Nick got into what that revenge tour likely looks like over the remaining 8 episodes. Maul Shadow Lord: What Fans REALLY Want… And What We’ll Actually Get
2026/04/02
This week on the Star Wars Time Show, we go full speculation mode on Maul: Shadow Lord. After breaking down the trailer and early details in previous episodes, it’s time to zoom out and ask two big questions: what do fans actually want to see from this series, and what do we realistically think Lucasfilm is going to deliver? We start with the biggest fan wants, including a true bridge from The Clone Wars to Solo and Rebels, the rise of Crimson Dawn, and long-requested moments like a Maul vs Vader collision or even a confrontation with Palpatine. There’s also growing interest in how characters like Qi’ra, Ahsoka, and the Inquisitors could factor into the story. Then we shift into predictions. Will the show stay grounded on Janix? Is Devon really going to fall to the dark side? And how far will the series go in setting up Maul’s eventual fate? Topics include: What fans want to see play outPredictions on what will actually happenWhere Maul’s story picks up after The Clone WarsTimeline connections to the Empire eraWhat this show needs to get rightLet us know your predictions and what you want to see from Maul: Shadow Lord. 🎥 YouTube: YouTube.com/Starwarstimeshow🎧 Spotify: https://creators.spotify.com/pod/profile/starwarstimeshow

Grogu Speaking? New Mandalorian & Grogu Details + Shadow of Maul Comic Breakdown
2026/03/12
This week on Star Wars Time Show we break down the latest news about the upcoming Star Wars film Mandalorian & Grogu. Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy recently addressed one of the biggest questions fans have about the movie. Will Grogu finally speak? We discuss what she said and whether Grogu speaking would change the character moving forward. We also talk about comments from Jon Favreau and Pedro Pascal regarding Din Djarin appearing without his helmet in the film and what that might mean for the character’s arc. Jeremy Allen White’s portrayal of Rotta the Hutt is another major topic, as we discuss how Jabba’s son could factor into the story and the broader underworld of Star Wars. In the second half of the episode we recap and review the first issue of Marvel’s Shadow of Maul, a comic that acts as a prequel to the upcoming Maul: Shadow Lord animated series on Disney+. We break down the major story beats, discuss key characters introduced in the comic, and speculate on how the events could connect to the upcoming show. We also briefly discuss the long-awaited Knights of the Old Republic remake and whether the project is still alive after several years of uncertainty. Maul Is Better Than Vader? 10 Star Wars Hot Takes We’re Defending
2026/03/05
Star Wars fans… we might regret this one. In this week’s episode of the Star Wars Time Show, Matt and Nick are back with 10 brand-new Star Wars hot takes for 2026 — and some of them are going to hurt. We’re debating: • Have the prequels aged better than the sequels? • Is The Empire Was Right actually defensible? • Is Andor easily the best Disney+ Star Wars series? • Is A New Hope overrated? • Has Grogu already peaked as a character? • Should Ahsoka Season 2 kill a major character? • Is Darth Maul better written than Darth Vader? • Is Star Wars animation more important than live action? • Should Star Wars take a 5-year break after this slate? These aren’t safe takes. These aren’t polite takes. These are the ones that start arguments. Let us know which hot take you agree with — and which one crossed the line. May the debate be with you. Darth Maul’s 10 Greatest Moments in Star Wars
2026/02/26

From “At last we will reveal ourselves…” to Duel of the Fates, the shocking death of Qui-Gon Jinn, Maul’s resurrection in The Clone Wars, the rise of the Shadow Collective, the Siege of Mandalore, and the unforgettable “KENOBI!” duel in Twin Suns, we walk through Maul’s complete arc chronologically. After breaking down all 10 moments, Matt and Nick each reveal their personal Top 3 Darth Maul moments of all time. Was Maul at his best in the prequels? Did The Clone Wars elevate him into one of Star Wars’ most layered villains? Or did his final confrontation with Obi-Wan in Rebels give him the perfect ending? Let’s talk Maul. This Isn’t a Hutt Story… It’s About the Empire | Mandalorian & Grogu
2026/02/19
Last night Matt went live for a full scene-by-scene breakdown of the first trailer for The Mandalorian & Grogu. While Rotta the Hutt and the underworld grab immediate attention, this doesn’t look like a simple bounty hunter movie. The bigger question is whether the Hutts are operating independently — or working with the fractured remnants of the Empire. We discuss: • Why the Hutts may be tied to Imperial warlords • Whether the New Republic might need something from Rotta • The Shadow Council connections from The Mandalorian Season 3 • The warlord seen in the trailer and what that implies • Why fans don’t want “just a Hutt movie” • Din Djarin’s role in a fragile New Republic era If this film continues the Shadow Council storyline, it could be setting up something much larger in the post-Return of the Jedi era. The Mandalorian & Grogu opens exclusively in theaters May 22, 2026. 🎧 Watch/Listen now: https://youtube.com/live/1RIRn0ejyNA?feature=share Hit up Spotify - https://creators.spotify.com/pod/profile/starwarstimeshow to get the podcast version. #themandalorianandgrogu

The 10 Star Wars Characters With the Most Screen Time | Ahsoka S2 Leak + Rogue Squadron Update
2026/02/12
This week’s solo livestream dives into the latest Star Wars news and a data-driven breakdown that might change how you view the saga. First up, we cover a new update on the long-quiet Rogue Squadron film, including comments from screenwriter Matthew Robinson and what they may signal about the project’s status at Lucasfilm. Then we examine a reported Ahsoka Season 2 leak involving a Dathomir set build and what that could mean for the direction of the series. Why return to Dathomir? And what does it say about where the story is headed? For the main topic, we shift from rumors to raw numbers. Using screen time data from the Star Wars movies, we break down the 10 characters with the most total screen time in the Skywalker Saga. Some placements are exactly what you’d expect. Others might surprise you. The results spark a bigger question: who really drives Star Wars when you look at the franchise objectively? Ahsoka Season 2 Leaks Hint at an Ancient War | No Legacy Heroes in Starfighter
2026/02/05
This week on the Star Wars Time Show, Matt is joined by Young Nick for a pre-recorded episode packed with Star Wars news, rumors, and leaked set photo discussion. We start with Ahsoka Season 2, where newly surfaced set images appear to show massive, ancient mechanical remains scattered across Peridea. If the photos are legit, they may hint at a long-forgotten war that left the galaxy largely lifeless, outside of the Great Witches seen in stasis during Season 1. We also discuss a separate rumored image tied to the Mortis Gods and what that could mean for how deep Season 2 might go into Force mythology. From there, we shift to confirmed news, including reports that the upcoming Starfighter film will feature no legacy characters at all, signaling a major creative departure for theatrical Star Wars. We also hit on podracing officially returning in the upcoming Galactic Racer game and break down the first preview of the Maul prequel comic Shadow of Maul, which explores Maul’s past ahead of the animated series Maul: Shadow Lord. As always, we separate fact from speculation, flag rumors clearly, and try to connect the dots without going full tinfoil. 🎧 Watch/Listen now: https://youtu.be/hSSCVXF-RnQ Hit up Spotify - https://creators.spotify.com/pod/profile/starwarstimeshow to get the podcast version. #starwarstimeshow #maul #ahsoka

Ranking EVERY Star Wars Video Game | Ultimate Tier List (85 Games!)
2026/01/22
This week on The Star Wars Time Show, we attempt something deeply unwise: ranking 85 Star Wars video games live. From genre-defining classics to forgotten oddities, we build a massive tier list covering decades of Star Wars gaming history. Not every game here is one we’ve personally played, so yes — there’s a Haven’t Played tier — and chat absolutely gets involved when things get controversial. Whether you grew up with retro Star Wars games or jumped in during the modern era, this one’s guaranteed to spark arguments. A podcast for a more uncivilized age. Tom Cruise Filmed a Lightsaber Duel?! Starfighter Confirms Force Users
2026/01/15
This week on the Star Wars Time Show, Matt and Young Nick break down two stories that hit very different parts of the Star Wars fandom, but both carry real implications for the future of the franchise. First, we dive into a growing rumor circulating within the industry that Dave Filoni could be preparing to take on a larger leadership role at Lucasfilm, potentially alongside Lynwen Brennan, with longtime president Kathleen Kennedy possibly nearing retirement. We discuss where the rumor is coming from, how realistic it actually is, and what a Filoni-led Lucasfilm might look like in practice, creatively and structurally. Then we pivot to the bigger surprise of the week: reports that Tom Cruise filmed a lightsaber duel for Shawn Levy’s upcoming Star Wars film, Starfighter. While Cruise’s involvement is eye-catching on its own, the real takeaway is what this confirms about the movie itself: Force users and lightsabers are officially part of the story. We break down why that matters, what it tells us about the direction of Star Wars films, and why this changes expectations for Starfighter. Topics covered include: How credible the Filoni leadership rumors really are What Lucasfilm leadership transitions usually look like Why lightsabers in Starfighter are a much bigger deal than Cruise’s cameo What this means for Force users in future Star Wars films As always, we separate rumor from reality and talk through what actually matters long-term for Star Wars. 🎙 New episodes every week 📺 YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/StarWarsTimeShow 🎧 Spotify: https://creators.spotify.com/pod/profile/starwarstimeshow
