Renée Boudakian, is chatting with Kimberley and Darren Hiebert, co-founders of the Door Gurus franchise brand, and Dan Millard, their first franchise partner. Darren has been in the door industry his entire life, and Kimberley is a retired social worker with a long history in entrepreneurship and franchising. After selling off their previously owned businesses to retire, they discovered a new business opportunity in residential door work. By 2022, Door Gurus was born, and by 2025 they began franchising. Dan Millard worked long hours in construction for 25 years before discovering an opportunity to own his own franchise with Door Gurus. He combined his hands-on experience in construction with the training he received from the franchisor to open his location in Fort McMurray, Alberta, and he's been developing his business ever since.
