Growing Pains
2026/05/15
After some time away, it felt right to return with a conversation about “the messy middle” - the uncomfortable, uncertain, deeply human space between where you’ve been and where you’re trying to go.
In this episode, Mofi and I talk about growing pains, identity shifts, self-abandonment, rebuilding trust in yourself, and learning how to exist in the in-between without rushing to become someone else.
No neat conclusions. Just an honest conversation about becoming.
The Many Faces of Joy
2025/07/14
What happens when you put two cuspers in a virtual room?
You get a conversation on the guilt of choosing yourself, the hellscape that is modern dating, and what it really means to define joy on your own terms. In this episode of This Is Ours, I’m joined by Debbie for an honest and layered reflection on the many faces of joy, especially in the in-between. We talk about unlearning expectations, detangling identity from roles, and giving ourselves permission to explore joy in whatever form it takes.
Because joy isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s soft, sometimes it’s slow, and sometimes it’s simply yours.
I appreciate you all.
Sincerely,
Omaina 🤎
The Work of Friendship
2025/05/30
Friendship isn’t effortless—and it's not supposed to be. In this episode, I’m joined by Tanto and Rimi for a real conversation about what it takes to actually sustain friendship as an adult. We talk about ego, effort, growing pains, and why tough conversations matter. It’s about learning your people, being honest with yourself, and choosing connection—on purpose.
I appreciate you all,
Sincerely,
Omaina 🤎
In the Middle... Me too
2025/05/16
When we’re in process, we talk a lot about giving ourselves grace. About being patient. And I believe that. I’ve said that.
But I also think it’s important to say out loud: being in process is hard.
The reality is, it’s difficult to live in the space between the effort and the result.
This unexpected solo episode is a raw reflection on frustration, faith, and the commitment to keep showing up, even when I’d rather not.
What was supposed to be a rich guest conversation turned into a moment of pause and honesty. From tech failures and body image struggles to feeling like all the effort isn’t adding up, I’m processing what it means to stay the course when everything in you wants to quit.
If you’re in that in-between space, putting in the work, but not seeing the results, this one’s for you.
A reminder that acceptance isn’t agreeance. That multiple things can be true. And that even when it’s hard, we can still choose to show up for ourselves.
Maybe it’s oversharing. Maybe it’s a ramble. But maybe, just maybe, it’s what someone else needed to hear.
Me too.
I appreciate you all,
Sincerely,
Omaina 🤎
Creating for Ourselves
2025/05/15
What happens when you put two yappers on my couch? 🤔👀
You get an hour-long episode full of laughter, layered thoughts, and the kind of conversation that wanders in the best way. 😎
In the second episode of This is Ours, Nina and I dive into what it means to exist as an “other” and how we’ve learned to shape our narratives in spaces that weren’t always built for us ✨
We talk identity, belonging, ownership, self-definition, and the quiet (and sometimes loud) rebellion of creating for ourselves.
It’s warm, it’s honest, it’s a little all over the place, but it’s definitely ours. I hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed recording. 🫂☺️
I appreciate you all,
Sincerely,
Omaina 🤎
What else?
2025/05/15
In this first episode of This is Ours, I sit down with my friend Jess for a conversation on identity, navigating the in-between, and shifting mindsets.
We talk about the power of naming, the language we use to describe ourselves, and what it means to find your footing in seasons of transition.
The title What Else came from a quiet reflection - what else can we do when things feel uncertain, unfamiliar, or heavy?
This episode holds space for the questions we ask ourselves when we're evolving, and the ways we find clarity in community .
I appreciate you all,
Sincerely 🤎
Hello hi 🤎
2025/04/16
In this first episode of This Is Ours, I’m taking a moment to share the story behind the name, the pause, and the return.
It’s just me, a mic, and the start of something I’ve been holding close for a long time.
I appreciate you all,
Sincerely,
Omaina 🤎
