BOOYAKASHOW! HAS HIT 50 EPISODES!!! It took me a while to get to this point, but here it is and I’m glad we made it! Fifty episodes may not be a lot to some podcasters, but it’s a big deal to me. Life has been a little draining for me lately, but SDCC and the 50th episode were the exact pick-me-up I needed. THANK YOU to everyone who’s been listening for a while and who’s stuck around to hit this big time milestone episode with me. As the title would suggest, I couldn’t just do any ol’ thing for the 50th episode. I had to do something bigger than usual, so I waited for SDCC 2023 to roll into town so I could put out something a bit oversized for y’all. And this episode is no joke! It’s almost two hours long and chock full of Comic-Con goodness. You’ll hear me chat with Jon Zelenak (aka @thesewerden) about SDCC and Mutant Mayhem, and then you’ll get to listen to IDW’s “Next Evolution of Turtlemania” panel from this year’s big show. It’s another Mutant Mayhem-fueled episode, but this time Zach brought more back up. Long time friends of the show, Jon Zelenak and Drew DeArmond, join the show to talk ALL things Mutant Mayhem. The guys dive deep into the latest MM happenings as they chat about the trailer, the cast, and the upcoming figures. Not a single thought is spared. It’s a LONG episode! After a long hiatus, BooyakaShow! is back! It may or may not have taken a new movie trailer to bring the show back, but that’s besides the point. That’s right, Turtles Fans, Zach’s jumping on the mic today to discuss the Mutant Mayhem teaser trailer that dropped with a guest that’s new to the show. Zach is joined by Turtle fan and fellow podcaster, John Bernardo. John joins the show from Canada, and although their access to healthcare has multiple differences, their Turtles fandom does not! Well… We WERE caught up. That’s right, Ninja Turtles Fans, just when Rob and I thought we’d got back on track the track split in crazy directions and we couldn’t keep up. Rob started a new school year, I recorded some SDCC episodes, then I caught Covid, and now here’s a “new” episode of BooyakaShow! that was recorded approximately three weeks ago. Regardless of all that, it’s a great episode where Rob and I tackled the final issue in the Punk Frogs Saga. We recap and review IDW’s TMNT issue 130 in great detail, so grab your copy and follow along! Alien dinosaurs, Punk Frogs, creepy scientists, and Force Ghost Donatello all get smashed together in IDW’s TMNT issues 127 and 128. Join Zach and Rob as they recap and review the two books while trying not to lose their mind in excitement. This arc keeps getting stronger and stronger, so much so that issue 128 may be one of our hosts’ favorite Turtles comic EVER. Listen in and find out what the guys think! Peace and Cowabunga!

It’s another BooyakaShow! and Turtle Tales Radio team up as Zach and Rob get back in the saddle to review TMNT issues 123 and 124. This has got to be the fastest we’ve put out two episodes in a long time, and we hope to keep this mutated gravy train rolling. In this episode, Zach and Rob dig in to two IDW Turtles issues that were a perfect change of pace after things got hectic with Old Hob in the last few issues. In issue 123, Leonardo roams the streets of Mutant Town and discovers a fight club. And who else is there but Casey Jones! Leo not only ends up participating, but bumps into someone who may affect the Turtles’ future. Then in issue 124, the creative team delivers a somber but sweet dialogue-free Christmas issue. The IDW Turtles run is full of great Christmas issues and 124 is no exception. Zach and Rob are still playing catch up (hence the double coverage episodes), so dive in and check their latest thoughts on this killer Turtles run. Stay tuned for more!

Yo Turtles Fans! It’s FINALLY here. The Last Ronin issue five has dropped and the mini series has come to an end. Rob and I have had some troubles aligning our schedules recently, but we couldn’t wait to link up and discuss the finale to this HUGE moment in Turtles comics. This issue delivered big on action! From the opening to the ending it’s a crazy ride full of over the top ninja action and futuristic Sci-Fi boss fights. There’s some hiccups here and there, but nothing that keeps the issue from bringing this series to an epic close. Hear what Rob and I think as we recap and review the last issue of The Last Ronin. It’s the first BooyakaShow! of 2022 and to make things better – it’s a team up episode of the show! That’s right.
