The Book of James - Anger Management | James 1:19-27
2026/09/23
Pastor Jeff Sparkman continues our series through the Book of James, this week on the topic of managing anger. Pure and genuine religion shows up in controlled speech, caring for the vulnerable, and a refusal to be corrupted by the world. James presses beyond religious appearance into a life where God’s Word reaches the tongue, the temper, the treatment of hurting people, and the everyday choices that form a believer’s character.
Guest Speakers - Rob & Kathryn Harryman | The "Go" of God
2026/09/15
When God calls us, we need to understanding His "Go." The G stands for His goodness, and the O for obedience! God is a generous, kind, and good father. Not a God who measures out grace according to who earned the most! We can trust that He cares for us, and His plan is for our own good as well as His. Secondly, the "go" of God also requires radical obedience. Obedience can take many forms, whether it's as large as a life-changing decision, or as small as simply giving up something you know isn't good. The place that costs the most can become the place where His nearness is most deeply known! Release fear, bitterness, and unforgiveness can into the hands of our good God.
Brian Ming - From Promise to Promotion
2026/09/09
The promise of God and the promotion of God do not always show up on the same day. David was anointed as king, yet he spent roughly thirteen to sixteen years walking through rejection, scorn, danger, caves, and seasons where nothing looked like the word over his life. But this in-between season was not proof that God had forgotten David - in fact, it was the place where God formed him. God brought David's promotion in His timing, not through David’s striving. God’s resurrection power makes a promise secure, because what He raises up cannot be stolen by a demon, a system, an economy, or a human plan.
The Book of James - The Goodness of God | James 1:16-21
2026/09/02
Pastor Jeff Sparkman continues our series through the book of James, this week on the goodness of God. The greatest super power God gives to walk through discouragement, suffering, anger, and disappointment is Godly perspective. In tough situations, the enemy wants to take you to a place of selfish concern focusing on what you lack, but God wants to show you His goodness in every situation. Even the hard ones!
The Book of James - Temptation & Sin | James 1:13-15
2026/08/26
Josh Hargrove speaks on temptation and sin as we continue our series through the book of James! As followers of Christ, it is important we understand what sin is, how it works, and how to defeat it so that we become a people so desperate for Christ-like holiness, that confession and repentance become as regular of a practice as worship and prayer.
The Book of James - Through the Fire | James 1:1-18
2026/08/21
Pastor Jeff Sparkman continues our series through the book of James, this week on the topic of trials and suffering. How we steward the trials of our life determines how we grow. We can come out with joy and maturity, or we get bitter and stay stuck with a victim mentality. God doesn't cause our trials - but He will use them to refine and mature us! How will you respond?
The Book of James - A Servant, Not a Celebrity | James 1:1-4
2026/08/14
Pastor Jeff Sparkman begins Week 1 of our new series through the Book of James! As the physical brother of Jesus,  James spent decades doubting his brother’s divinity until the resurrected Jesus appeared to him. That encounter transformed a skeptic into a man who would lead thousands, pray until his knees hardened, and die proclaiming Christ’s lordship. James could have introduced himself with impressive titles, but he chose “servant of Christ.” That humility exposes the poverty of identity built on degrees, titles, followers, influence, or family name. Authority becomes most refreshing when it does not need to advertise itself, because God remembers faithfulness even when people forget names.
Stewardship - Stewarding Healthy Relationships | Panel
2026/08/06
This Sunday, Pastor Jeff Sparkman puts together a panel of qualified members from our own church body on stewarding healthy relationships! When the relationships in our life are bad, everything else is affected. It is important as Christians to have unity with the body, and walk in love and forgiveness even when it's difficult! Topics discussed include restoring broken relationships, dealing with conflict biblically, setting healthy boundaries, and the effects of social media.
Stewardship - Stewarding our Minds | Mental Health Panel
2026/08/06

Struggling with mental health often feels like a personal battle - but the truth is asking for help is the first and most important step you can take! Topics discussed are on dealing with depression and anxiety and how to combat them practically, medically, and biblically.
Stewardship - Stewarding our Bodies | Physical Health Panel
2026/07/22
This Sunday, Pastor Jeff Sparkman puts together a panel of qualified members from our own church body on physical and nutritional health! Stewarding our physical health doesn’t always feel spiritual, but it is. If our bodies aren’t functioning well, we can’t carry out the mission God has for us. Topics discussed are on the pillars of health, nutrition, and exercise!
Student Takeover 2026
2026/07/14
This special service is our annual Student Takeover, where our Resonate Kids and Youth get to lead church on Sunday morning! From worship, to serving, to the message itself, our Kids and Youth get to show us what God has laid on their hearts, and everything they've been learning! We have some sweet testimonies and a mini sermon from our RL Kids, and a panel on the topic of parent relationships from our RL Youth!
Stewardship - Three Powerful Truths | Kelley Schubert
2026/07/10
Stewarding our calling is framed by a simple mercy from God. God is sovereign, God loves, and God intends no pressure in the life of a disciple. The church often overvalues its own contribution, undervalues God’s sovereignty, and doubts the magnitude at which God can move.  When Elijah hid in fear, God met him not in earthquake or fire, but in a whisper. God renamed Gideon “mighty warrior” while he cowered in a winepress. Our past failures, shame, or self-doubt often shout louder than God’s quiet assurance - but what we label as disqualifications become divine appointments when surrendered. Identity is drawn from redemption, not performance!
Stewardship - Stewarding your Spiritual Station | Josh Hargrove
2026/07/10
Each one of us has a spiritual station! But are we stewarding it in the way God intended us to? In Matthew 5, the curious crowd listens to Jesus’ words, but avoids confronting His divine identity. We often mistakenly do the same, reducing His radical call to self-improvement tips, missing the heart of His message. Jesus’ teachings cannot be separated from His claim to be Savior. To steward our positions, we must investigate His claims with urgency—not as a casual observer, but as one facing eternity. Spiritual poverty begins when we admit we have nothing to offer God!
Father's Day - Stewarding Relationships Pt. 2
2026/06/25
In honor of Father's Day, Pastor Ben Watts continues his two-part sermon on stewarding relationships and learning how to forgive. When we're hurt by others, it's natural to harbor resentment. That road feels right but produces death, whereas God’s way feels riskier, but leads to life. Wholehearted forgiveness is not discrediting what happened to you - it's a Christlike release that keeps our hearts clean and free of bitterness! The forgiveness we show others must match the quality of Christ’s forgiveness. On the cross, Jesus prays “Father, forgive them,” with rejection and betrayal still fresh in his wounds. That kind of forgiveness is not natural. It is a miracle of grace! Following Christ's example will reshape lives, homes, and restore bonds that once were broken.
