Un-Laboring In This Season When $$ May Be Tight
2026/02/23
Let's talk a little about when you are in a season that requires you to un-labor a bit and stop grinding. I believe that Black women deserve more ease and to receive income and abundance with ease, myself included, so there will be times that we are required to un-labor and allow God to step in and provide miracles. This is counterintuitive to the lessons we learned that told us that in order to be successful, wealthy, even safe, we must labor in all ways and all the time. Hit "play" on this episode and lt's unpack things a little bit. For Black Women Love Isn't Enough - When to Stop Fixing a Dead Relationship
2026/02/16
Valentine's Day was just a few days ago, but today we’re talking about the side of love we rarely discuss: the grace of letting go. Inspired by a surprising lesson from Mr. Rogers, this episode explores why we often keep pouring our "salt"—our energy, labor, and essence—into relationships that are no longer viable. Let's talk about the "Fixer" trap, the difference between a rough patch and a dead one, and how to reclaim your sweetness by choosing to stop performing CPR on a "dead fish". 2026 Is Not The Year For Distractions
2026/02/09
Late in 2025 one of my distractions, one that I wasn't aware of for a while, was fear. I was afraid that If I didn't earn income or receive it in a certain way, I wasn't doing things "right." This ended up putting me into a bit of freeze mode and if you've ever experienced freeze mode you know how much that feels like being stuck in time. In todays episode, let's talk a bit about distractions and how they might show up in your life and put a halt on living the life you deserve. Listener Question - How Can I Practice Self-Care During This Time of Fascism and ICE
2026/02/02
Hey, hey! Got a great question for you today straight from the community. How can we practice self-care during this time of civil unrest, ICE and fascism. This episode is not all inclusive. My hope is that it allows room for you to reflect on what is important to you. As mentioned in the episode, know your rights. ICE AGENTS ARE NOT POLICE OFFICERS though Police Officers may or may not accompany them. Here are some helpful links. Sharing the Hard Stuff: Finding Space to Be Real
2026/01/19
In this episode I’m talking about something that’s deeply personal yet universally human: the courage to share your truth. Sometimes the weight we carry, like shame, fear, embarrassment, or unspoken experiences, can hold us back from living fully. Sharing your truth doesn’t have to be dramatic or performative, it is about creating space to release, reflect, and heal. We’re talking about: Why holding onto your truth can feel like survival but may also block your growthThe importance of having a supportive inner circle and trustworthy alliesWays to safely share your truth including journaling, therapy, creative expression, or just showing up authenticallyHow black women, historically and culturally, have had to mask their truths and why reclaiming space to be fully human is an act of self-careNavigating the highs and lows, the valleys and peaks, of life while honoring your own journeyThis episode is an invitation to let go of the pressure to be perfect, to stop bottling things up for survival, and to explore ways to express yourself safely and honestly. Small Beginnings, Big Intentions: Claiming Space (a Tiny Shed) as Self-Care
2026/01/12
In this first episode of the year, I’m sharing something that may not matter to anyone else on the planet and how it reminded me that self-care isn’t always loud, aesthetic, or dramatic. Sometimes self-care looks like claiming space. Sometimes it looks like taking one small step toward a vision you don’t need to explain to anyone else. We’re talking about: Why small beginnings matter (especially in January)Creating physical, emotional, and energetic space as a form of self-careLetting intentions unfold without rushing or pressureHow honoring what feels meaningful to you is an act of self-loveThis episode is an invitation to start the year gently, intentionally, and on your own terms. 5 Signs You Need To Go Sit Down Somewhere
2025/12/01
In this episode, I'm getting honest about the moments when your spirit is no longer whispering, but instead she’s tapping you on the shoulder, side-eyeing you, and begging you to just sit down somewhere. As Black women, we’re praised for pushing through, carrying everything, and keeping it all together. But this season is about something different: honoring your humanity, choosing ease, and learning to pause before life forces you to. We’ll explore the 5 signs that show up when you’re out of alignment: when you’re scattered instead of centered drained instead of nourished ✨eactive instead of peaceful doubting instead of grounded and disconnected instead of intuitive Our Sponsors: * Check out Bilt: https://joinbilt.com/SELFCARE Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/brown-girl-self-care/exclusive-content Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

I'm "Failing" At Life And That's Ok! (A Little Spicy Language)
2025/11/03
Hey, hey! In this episode I'm sharing part of a recent video I created. In It I talked about the idea of the American dream. By those standards, this vision of success we've been told to strive for, I am failing because my life doesn't align, and that's ok! 6 Things You Can Start Doing Today To Have "Perfect Days" (Takeaways from Perfect Days Movie)
2025/10/27
If you are in need of a reminder to slow down, be present and not feel pressured to buy/have "all the things", this episode is definitely for you! Recently, i watched a movie on Hulu called "Perfect Days" about a toilet cleaner in Japan. I thought it would be about his job (and how could that even be exciting??) but it was about much, much more. I'm sharing six takeaways that will help you experience your own "perfect" days, ones where you are more grounded and present, versus worrying about the accumulation or use of the latest and greatest stuff. As mentioned, if you'd like to spend some one on one time with me, getting your self-care plan in order, you can connect with me here: BEING w/ Bre Our Sponsors: * Check out Bilt: https://joinbilt.com/SELFCARE Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/brown-girl-self-care/exclusive-content Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
Grinding And Hustling Is Not The "Work", Our Self-Care Is, So That's What I'm About To Do.
2025/10/20
This episode, what I'm doing for the next 30 days is going to sound crazy. I get it. It needs to be done though because I'm locking in on how I'm blooming versus worrying about laboring to earn money. In our culture 9-5'ing/grinding is where our energy primarily goes and if there is anything left we do a little tending to ourselves. I'm flipping the narrative for the next 30 days and making self-care the primary and working secondary. Listen in to learn more about the framework I'll be using.
