Linda Blade is a former National Champion of Canada in track & field (heptathlon) with a PhD in Kinesiology. For the past 26 years, she has run a private consulting business as “Sport Performance Professional” coach in Edmonton, Alberta working with athletes in over 15 sports (beginner to elite). Since 2014, Linda has also served as President of the Board for Athletics Alberta, where she has a duty to represent the province of Alberta at Canadian national sport policy meetings.  In a bid to increase public awareness of the threat posed by gender ideology, Linda has partnered with journalist Barbara Kay to author a new book, titled: UNSPORTING: How Trans Activism and Science Denial are Destroying Sport. Radical gender activists are using a pseudoscientific theory of human biology to hijack sports and subvert the long-established concepts of fair play — forcing women and girls to risk their safety, pushing them aside for male athletes using the excuse of “inclusivity.” Anyone who questions this dogma risks being branded as a transphobe and having their social and professional lives “cancelled”. In the new book, Unsporting: How Trans Activism and Science Denial are Destroying Sport, former Canadian track champion Linda Blade and renowned National Post columnist Barbara Kay, examine the dangers of gender ideology in sports. They document the attack on biological facts upon which the level playing field of sports rests. Tackling issues few have the courage to say out loud, Unsporting shows the harm inflicted on female athletes, and identifies the institutions driving this movement. What does the future hold for sports if biological reality is ignored? Blade answers that question and concludes with a reasonable plan to reverse course.

Here's some scintillating background information on Lisa:  After growing up in various northeastern and southwestern college towns, I moved to New York City when I was 21 and had no idea what to do with my degree in experimental feminist video (good thing I went to college for free). My brother offered me a room in his East Village hovel, and my first career was in film/TV (here are some props I made when I worked at Blue's Clues), but I was always obsessed with the relationship between the built environment and emotional experience: I wanted to know how architecture could help form community. So I enrolled first in a Ph.D. program in environmental psychology. Then, fearing that I'd get another degree like the one in experimental feminist video, I transferred to a Master’s in Urban Planning Program. Then one night my brother sat me down on his roof and said, "If you want to be a writer, why are you going to urban planning school?" Maggie is from Austin, TX based voice actor and business owner. She records everything from romance novels to educational content for children. felicia rembrandt lives on Canada’s west coast. She was a college educator until her retirement five years ago. Since then, she has dedicated herself to fighting against an ideology that wants to replace the two sex categories with multiple gender identities. She will talk about the Canadian government’s apparently ardent desire to turn the country “queer”, to strip women of rights, and of the marriage between the government and corporate America and the influence of “stakeholder” capitalism. Cherry Smiley, PhD is a feminist, artist, & researcher from the Nlaka'pamux (Thompson) &Diné (Navajo) Nations. With other women, she works to end male violence against women. She completed her PhD in communication studies at Concordia University where her thesis examined the prostitution of Indigenous women in Canada as a form of male violence & proposes a female-centered definition of colonization & decolonizing feminism. She is the founder & executive director of Women’s Studies Online, a platform for decolonizing feminist research, education, action, & community-building....
