Personally, I think that once every four months is more than enough for a podcast. If you slow it down enough so it sounds like some sort of eerie whalesong, or the kind of strange signal that would be picked up from space by a radar dish in the opening minutes of a horror movie, you can absolutely make it last a quarter. Like an everlasting gobstopper for the ears. What a concept. In this episode, we explore the magical human ability to breathe life into an inanimate object by drawing a face on it and making it waggle about, thanks to Guy taking a puppetry class. This obviously leads on to a discussion about the human experience, and the importance of art to shine a light in the darkness, and how that light can signal that we're not alone. Also featured is the importance of friction, the inherent ontological evil of generative AI, and how cranks and freaks can tip the scales of discourse by having nothing better to do than email their MP about a load of old toss. Plus we introduce the concept of a government-mandated clown class to solve the world's ills. You know. Like a Garfield podcast would.
