We were lucky enough to draw a deer/exotic archery hunt once again at Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge in deep South Texas.  Only half the crew this time, but we still had a great time chasing the target species of Nilgai antelope.  This is the recap of the trials and tribulations of this adventure.  It is not easy to get within bow range of these free range animals. In this episode we talk about a topic that probably doesn't get talked about enough, Safety.  Specifically, being safe while hunting.  Since most hunting is done with firearms, it goes without saying that firearm safety is a must and probably taken for granted that we (hunters) all know gun safety and respect firearms, but yet there are about 1000 hunting related accidents annually in the US and approximately 100 of those are fatal. Manny shares a few incidents that he has been involved with both as a guide and personally. I think we all assume we are safe, but carelessness or human error can happen to anyone. In this episode, I recap some of my adventures I experienced on my recent family vacation to Australia, the land down under!  We traveled to Sydney, Australia, then to Cairns, Australia, and then wrapped it up at Katoomba, Australia.  We did several outdoor adventures and tours throughout our trip, seeing Kangaroos, wombats, wallabies, fruit bats (flying fox), crocodiles, and even the elusive platypus. We toured the Daintree Rainforest, snorkeled the great barrier reef, and hiked thru the "Blue Mountains" of the Katoomba, Australia.  I also treated myself to fishing trip in Cairns, where I caught some interesting fish.
