In this one, we talk about how he became a certified demonologist, his learning path, and how much it cost.
Then, Merle gives us deep dish on a ghost hunt he did last night in Point Roberts, Washington. Something may have followed Katie!
Shoutout to Katie for getting Merle the demonology class.

Here's the proof of Merle's diploma:
Spooky Talk Ep. 7: The One About Ghostly Evidence
2026/10/16
Hi gang! Merle and Jake are back to talk about one of their favorite topics, ghostly evidence. In this one, the boys kick off with a user-submitted story (Thanks Terry!) about a stretch of haunted highway and rest area near Merritt, BC, Canada.
Next, Merle describes the best evidence he's had ... including getting choked by a ghost!
In the last segment, the fellows talk gadgets, what works, how to decide which gear to use, and Jake fesses up that he doesn't mind the Poltertune.
Spooky Talk Ep. 6: The Very Haunted 108 Mile Ranch Heritage Site with GHOSTLY EVIDENCE
2026/10/09
Hi gang! Merle and I are back from our travels, and we could record this episode about the haunted place we visited. The notorious 108 Mile Ranch Heritage Site. It's known for murders, mayhem and grumpy spirit in a Clydesdale Barn. BTW: Shout out to Randi on her nuptials!
We kick off with our investigation in the 105 Mile House, barn and Post House. This time, we had Paisley Town join us as a psychic investigator. She picked up the spooky in various spots around the site. Then, Merle has an encounter on that notorious catwalk with The Dude. Afterwards, Jake decides to sleep in the most haunted place there, the Post House. Let's just say ... things happen while the boy is dead asleep (pun intended).
Tune in because we play all the evidence.
To finish off, we talk about the Cari-BOO-Con, and Merle reviews his new Hex Box.

Hi Ghostlies. Merle takes the lead as the host for this episode. Thanks to our listeners who voted for ITC devices (a.k.a. spirit boxes) for this one.

Next, Merle plays 2 EVPs for you to discern while Jake critically judges.
In the last segment, we get the history of spirit boxes, our experiences, a few ghost hunting tips, and Jake mentions his favorite spirit box.

The History of Spooky Season
2026/08/28
Hi Ghostlies! As we get closer to spooky season, Jake did a little deep dive into the origins of the phrase, spooky season, and how it caught on to be a season unto itself.
It was surprising to see how old the term really is, even if it didn't necessarily mean a month of festivities and feelings at first.
Also, the state that first started using spooky season was what you'd think. It's not from New England. It's not from the Midwest. Wait 'til you hear where spooky season started.
