A Life of Prayer
2026/09/30
In this episode of Firm Foundation, Pastor Jonathan Dimanche explores the power and purpose of prayer. Discover how prayer brings us into intimacy with God, teaches us dependence on Him, and helps align our hearts with His will. Jonathan also shares practical ways to strengthen your prayer life and pray with greater faith, consistency, and purpose.
The Practice of Spiritual Disciplines
2026/09/23
In this episode, Pastor AJ talks about the importance of spiritual disciplines and how they shape the way we follow Jesus. From reading and meditating on Scripture to prayer and putting God’s Word into practice, we’ll look at how these disciplines help us grow in godliness, recognize what is true, and stay grounded in our faith. Spiritual disciplines aren’t about checking a box or doing the bare minimum. They’re rhythms that help us know God more deeply and live out what He has called us to. The Life Jesus Is Calling You To
2026/09/16
In this message from Pastor John at our York River Campus, discover what it means to be fully devoted to Jesus. Through the stories of Saul, Daniel, and the rich young ruler, we are challenged to examine who is truly in charge of our lives, who we choose to follow, what we worship, and how we serve others. Following Jesus means more than making Him part of our lives. It means surrendering every area to Him, standing firm in His truth, and living with eternity in mind.
The Life You Build
2026/09/09
This week, Pastor AJ challenged us with a powerful reminder: following Jesus is a commitment we have to be willing to finish. In Luke 14, Jesus uses the picture of someone building a tower to show us that following Him requires more than simply getting started. We need the desire to build our lives around Jesus, the wisdom to prepare for what’s ahead, and the perseverance to keep going when things get hard. Trials, temptation, and challenges will come, but Jesus calls us to remain faithful and finish strong. When we fully understand who Jesus is and what He has done for us, we realize that nothing is worth putting above Him. Following Jesus will cost us something, but it costs more to reject Him. So what will it look like for you to keep building, even when it gets hard? Join us in the LSM Building every Tuesday at 7 p.m., and follow us on Instagram @lyahampton for more updates.
Die to Self
2026/09/08
This week, AJ challenged us with a powerful question: “What does it really mean to follow Jesus?” In Luke 9, Jesus makes it clear that following Him means more than simply believing in Him. He calls us to deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow Him. We were reminded that surrender means choosing what Jesus wants over what we want, putting sin to death, and laying down our own plans and desires for His. Following Jesus means recognizing Him not only as Savior, but as Lord. So what do you need to surrender? What do you need to die to? Okay, I've Sinned. Now What?
2026/07/20
This week, Pastor Daniel walked us through John 8, reminding us that there's a difference between conviction and condemnation. While condemnation tells us to hide in shame, conviction lovingly points us back to Jesus. We were challenged to see repentance as more than feeling guilty. It's a change in direction that leads us toward Christ. No matter how many times we've fallen, Jesus invites us to come boldly to Him, receive His grace, and walk in the freedom He offers. More than Enough to Satisfy
2026/06/10
This week, Pastor AJ walked us through John 4 and the story of the woman at the well, reminding us that Jesus is more than enough to satisfy. While the things of this world will always leave us thirsty, Jesus alone offers the living water that truly fulfills. We were challenged to stop running back to empty wells and find our satisfaction in Christ alone. Join us in the LSM Building every Tuesday at 7 p.m., and follow us on Instagram @lyahampton for more updates.
That's Good Enough
2026/06/03
This week, Pastor Z from our Fairview Heights campus reminded us that we were created for a purpose greater than ourselves: to bring God glory. Through personal stories, Scripture, and the Gospel, we were challenged to remember that God is sovereign, present, and actively at work in our lives. Because Christ came, died, and rose again to save us, we now have the responsibility and privilege of making the Gospel known to others. As Isaiah 43:7 reminds us, we were created for His glory, and our lives should point people back to Him. You are More than Enough to God
2026/05/27
This week, Pastor AJ spoke on the truth that our value does not come from our performance, our past, or the opinions of others, but from the fact that we were created in the image of God. Even though sin separated us from a holy God, Scripture reminds us that every person carries inherent worth as an image bearer of God and is deeply loved by Him. Pastor AJ challenged us to consider the power of our words, reminding us that we cannot praise God while tearing down people He created in His likeness. Through the Gospel, we see that Jesus did not die for us once we became worthy, but while we were still sinners, proving how valuable we already were to Him. No matter what lies have been spoken over your life, your worth is not determined by others, but by the price Jesus paid for you on the cross. What Are You Known For?
2026/05/13
This week, Pastor AJ challenged us with one important question: “What are you known for?” In 1 Corinthians 4, Paul says he wanted to be known as a faithful servant of Christ, seeking the approval of God over the approval of people. We were reminded that heroes of the faith are not defined by platform or recognition, but by obedience. Just like Edward Kimball’s simple faithfulness led to a ripple effect that impacted generations, our obedience to God can impact lives in ways we may never see. Colossians 4 - Go All In
2026/04/29
This week, Pastor John spoke on what it means to go all in in our relationship with God, challenging us to fully surrender every area of our lives. In Epistle to the Colossians chapter 4, we were reminded that it starts with prayer, real and honest conversation that builds intimacy with our Father. As we grow closer to Him, it should shape how we live, using our time wisely and speaking with grace so others can see the gospel in us. We were also encouraged to center our lives on God’s Word, allowing it to transform us, not just inform us. Pastor John reminded us that we each have a calling and are called to faithfully walk in it, trusting God to guide us. Even in challenges, we can persevere through His grace. Going all in isn’t about being perfect, it’s about not holding anything back from God. Join us in the LSM Building every Tuesday at 7 p.m., and follow us on Instagram @lyahampton for more updates.
Colossians 3 - You're Already Dead, Live Like It.
2026/04/22
This week, Pastor AJ spoke on what it means to live in light of our true identity in Christ. We were challenged with a bold truth: if we’ve been raised with Christ, then our old life is already dead and our lives should reflect that reality. Too often, our position is heaven, but our lifestyle still looks like earth. Pastor AJ reminded us that following Jesus means setting our minds on eternal things, not temporary ones, and daily choosing to put to death the patterns of our old self. In their place, we are called to put on compassion, kindness, humility, and love, living out the identity God has already given us. True life begins when we die to ourselves, and as we let the word of Christ dwell in us, it will naturally overflow into everything we do. Colossians 2 - Staying Rooted in Christ
2026/04/15
This week, Pastor AJ walked through Colossians 2, showing us what it looks like to be rooted in Jesus and built up in Him. Following Christ isn’t just about a moment of faith, it’s about continuing in Him daily, allowing our lives to be shaped by His truth. When we’re not rooted in the right things, we can easily be led by what sounds good instead of what is true. But when our foundation is Jesus, we grow, stay steady, and develop a faith that lasts. Because of His finished work on the cross, we’ve been made alive in Him, fully forgiven, and no longer bound to our old life. Colossians 1 - Who is Jesus, Really?
2026/04/08
This week, we kicked off our Colossians series by answering the most important question: who is Jesus, really? Walking through Colossians 1, we were reminded that Jesus is not just part of our lives, He is over everything. He is the image of the invisible God, the Creator and Sustainer of all things, and the One who holds it all together. In a world full of subtle distortions and competing beliefs, it’s easy to settle for a version of Jesus that feels right but isn’t true. But if we don’t see Him clearly, we’ll miss what it means to truly follow Him. Understanding who Jesus is shapes everything about who we are. We’ve been rescued from darkness, brought into His kingdom, and created for Him. When Jesus takes His rightful place, everything else begins to align. How Do We Respond to Suffering?
2026/04/01
This week, Noah Higgins spoke on what it looks like to trust God in the middle of uncertainty. Walking through Scripture, we were reminded that following Jesus isn’t about having everything figured out; it’s about surrender. We often want clarity before we take a step, but God invites us to trust His character over our circumstances. Even when we can’t see what He’s doing, we can know that He’s good, present, and already ahead of us. Growth doesn’t happen in control; it happens in dependence. When we release our need to have all the answers, we make room for deeper faith. Join us in the LSM Building every Tuesday at 7 p.m., and follow us on Instagram @lyahampton for more updates.
