The Patriots needed front seven help heading into the 2022 offseason. Most thought they would acquire said help at the NFL Draft after punting on the first tier of free agency, but that wasn't the case as New England selected just one player in the front seven, defensive tackle and Division II Small School Player of the Year Sam Roberts out of NW Missouri State in the 6th Round.
