On this week’s episode of History From The Back Pages Collin reviews the folk horror film His House. A couple from South Sudan flees their homeland to start a new life in England. While moving into their new home a evil witch doctor appears and starts to terrorize the young couple.

Collin reviews the excellent new film based on the beloved Resident Evil video game series. The film is directed by Zach Cregger who directed the excellent horror film Weapons from last year. It stars Austin Abrams who was fantastic as the main character Bryan. (Non-Spoiler Review). Collin will not be spoiling anything from the movie due to two of his friends whose names both start with the letter K telling him they are going to see the film soon as well.

Collin reviews on this week's episode of History From The Back Pages the WWII film Pressure. The film stars three excellent actors in Andrew Scott, Brendan Fraser and Damien Lewis. Collin’s mother and sister saw this film in theatres while they were in England and recommended it.

Collin reviews the B- level horror film Anaconda: Blood Coil directed by Justin Carter. An evil government scientist creates an army of Anacondas that escape into the woods and end up hunting six college-age women who are on a camping trip.

On this week’s episode of History From The Back Pages, Collin reviews the New Zealand Horror Comedy film Loop Track. In all honesty you will have to look far and wide to find a worse film than Loop Track. Not as horrible as Stranded or War of the Worlds (2025) but it's up there with the worst of the worst.

On this week's episode of History From The Back Pages Collin reviews the courtroom drama Juror Number 2 directed by Clint Eastwood, starring Nicholas Hoult, JK Simmons, Toni Collette, and Kiefer Sutherland. Most critics and viewers praised this film as a masterpiece and one of the best films of 2024. Sadly our host found the film incredibly dull and super predictable and almost fell asleep during its long run time.

On this week’s episode of History From The Back Pages Collin reviews the sci-fi horror film The Rift. Wick Hayes a famously handsome submarine designer is hired by the evil Contex corporation to join a NATO underwater expedition to find the missing Siren I submarine. The film stars Jack Scalia, R. Lee Emery, and Ray Wise. R. Lee Emery’s performance as Captian Randall Phillips and is by far the best thing about this movie and without him, it would be even worse. Jack Scalia and Ray Wise struggled in their roles as the main hero Wick Hayes and the main villain Robbins respectively.

Collin reviews the Australian horror film Boar which is about a giant Boar who is on a wild rampage in the Australian Outback.

Collin reviews the film New Acaltraz also known as Boa often regarded as one of the worst monster movies of all time. The director and writer hatched a plan to rip-off the far more successful and beloved films Python and Venomous that came out a few years prior. Dean Cain and the rest of the cast besides Mark Shepard delivered remarkably poor performances. Do not watch Boa it is a 1/10 film!

On this week’s episode of History From The Back Pages, Collin reviews the horror film Devil’s Tomb starring Cuba Gooding Jr, Ray Winstone, and Ron Perlman. Cuba Gooding Jr plays Special Ops Commander Captian Mack who leads a team on a mission to rescue Dr. Wesley who is trapped in an ancient tomb in the Middle East.

On this week’s episode of History From The Back Pages, Collin reviews the horror film Deep Woods. The film’s main plot is about Ty a handsome businessman who reconnects with his old college roommate Nick who is a Native American Game Warden. They go on a hunting trip together in the forest where Nick works, and while traveling they end up in an illegal marijuana farm owned by a evil drug lord.

On this week’s episode of History From The Back Pages Collin reviews the horrific horror comedy film Get Away. The plot is about an English family who travels to a pagan island off the coast of Sweden for their holiday. The reason for their holiday is to experience a legendary pagan “play” held by the villagers which details their life two hundred years prior when the English invaded the island. Collin was ready to rate the film a seven out of ten until about halfway through when the writers introduced a plot twist out of no where that was so stupid and insane it caused him to change his review to a two. Tune in to hear about a film so bad it makes Red Island, Strandred, After Dusk They Come, War of The Worlds (2025) and The Open House look like masterpieces. Stranded is still a worse film by far do not worry.

On this week’s episode of History From The Back Pages, Collin reviews the horrific 2021 Japanese remake of the 1997 sci-fi horror film Cube. One of the worst films our host has watched this year!!!
