At some point in our daily walk just about all of us will experience the loss of a loved one. And it can really hit us like a ton of bricks, and the grief is beyond words! Maybe you’re dealing with that even as we speak? Today on a Daily Walk we open our bibles to Genesis 23, where Sarah passes away and is buried. As you might expect this was hard on her husband Abraham. But while he would grieve it was not without hope! And the same holds true for us as believers. On today’s program we’ll hear how Abraham trusted God with his son. He understood that God had a great purpose for Isaac, and in full obedience submitted to the Lord’s plan. Let’s be encouraged to do the same! It’s an encouraging story of faith in God. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29?v=20251111

In Genesis chapter twenty-two Abraham receives a faith test. It’s been said you are either in a trial, coming out of it, or headed straight for one. So it’s not a matter of if but when will we face a trial. And of course Jesus said, in the world you will have tribulation. And trials do indeed test our faith don’t they? So, Its critical to process the trials we face biblically. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29?v=20251111

On today’s broadcast Pastor John Randall brings an encouraging look at the amazing grace of God. In Genesis chapter twenty Abraham finds himself having to repeat a grade in the school of faith. Abraham falls into the sin from which God had previously and mercifully delivered him. Sound familiar? You no doubt, as we all do, have areas of weakness in your life. In Genesis chapter nineteen, Sodom and Gomorrah are destroyed. But before that happens God sends an angel to Lot with explicit instructions to escape and don’t look back! We’re told that Lot’s wife did look back and paid dearly for it with her life. Pastor John shows us the powerful lessons we can learn from this in part two of his message, “Don’t Look Back.” To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29?v=20251111

Maybe you’re looking for a ministry you can be involved in at your local church? Here’s a good one… intercession! We could create a list a mile long of the things we’re incapable of doing in our own strength. But when it comes to God, we need to understand, nothing is too hard for Him! And it’s good to be reminded of that, especially when we’re faced with a situation that’s out of our control or beyond our ability! Today on a Daily Walk we’ll uncover this and more as we open our Bibles to Genesis chapters seventeen and eighteen. Sarah made a mistake that’s been repeated through the ages, looking at the human possibilities instead of God’s limitless ability! Certain skeptics find the miracles in the Bible hard to believe. From Noah and the flood, to Jonah and the Big Fish... and how is it possible for a woman to bear a child at 90 years of age they ask? But they fail to realize that God is able to do anything He wants to do. We’ll focus on God’s faithfulness and great ability here today on a Daily Walk as our study of Genesis continues with pastor John Randall. Whether it’s in the doctor’s office or in traffic, we don’t like to wait do we! We grow impatient if we have to wait for something for 13 minutes, but imagine having to wait for something close to thirteen years! That’s what Abraham and Sarah had to go through. As our study of Genesis develops we return to the story of Abraham and Sarah waiting for their promised son to arrive. After waiting for quite some time they decide to take matters into their own hands... big mistake! To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29?v=20251111

If you were expecting a guest to come over to your place, perhaps you’d tidy things up a bit, clear your schedule and do what you could to make them feel welcome. As believers in Christ we know that Jesus is going to return one day… and it could be today. But are we ready? Our lives should reflect the soon return of Christ. Pastor John is about to point out how we’re to live knowing that Jesus’ return is right around the corner. We’ll meet you in Second Peter chapter three.
