Send us Fan Mail This message is long overdue - apologies for the delay! Given a lack of tangible support from our audience, be it in the form of engagement via email or support via Patreon, Thomas and Pax opted to close the doors on the story development department in 2024.    These things happen and that's okay:)  But given the large body of timeless, kid-friendly content created between 2019 and 2022, and the fact that new listeners show up every month, we've let the podcast exist so that all kids, worldwide, still have access to every story we've ever created.    That will never change and someday, kids that started listening to our show years ago will hopefully return with their own children to listen again. But with story development in the rearview mirror, Tom and Pax turned their attention to their lifelong passion - MUSIC.   And now that they have wrapped up their new album, you will see some of the songs from that album appear here as new content.    If you would like the Planet Storytime Podcast to return to full story development, email us!   In our entire history, we've received 5 emails at [email protected].  We are downloaded in nearly 180 countries worldwide yet have only received 5 emails in our entire history.   If you want more stories - simply reach out and let us know! We hope you enjoy the new music and songs!       Thank you! Send us Fan Mail Good day to everyone of our Planet Storytime fans! Today we bring your a remix/remaster of 221, a song we released back in early 2022, as performed by Rubber Plane.    While the original has always been one of our favorites, it was in need of a facelift prior to the release of our new album (this will be the lead single off the new album - album details to follow in the weeks ahead. 221 is about coming together despite our differences.   It's about solidarity. Now more than ever, we need to learn to accept each other, despite such stark differences in our beliefs.   Now more than ever we must seek to be ONE with our fellow humans and our planet. Good cheer and humanhood to each and every one of us. Send us Fan Mail Season's Greetings from Planet Storytime!   Once again, it's been snowing here for weeks and it's extremely chilly!   But it hasn't been enough to keep us from knocking out stories as quickly as we can! We wanted to share our first original Christmas story, The Story of Archie Ball, complements of guest author, Eudora Russell. This is a wonderful Christmas story featuring the lost and out of place, Archie Ball, who finds himself amidst a long quest in search of purpose and meaning, narrated by Thomas Mitchell and featuring classic Christmas music produced by Paxton Stanley.   We sincerely hope you enjoy the story! Send us Fan Mail Welcome back to Planet Storytime! In this episode of the podcast, Thomas Mitchell and Paxton Stanley deliver one of L. Frank Baum's often overlooked classics, The Wonderful Pump, a story that dramatically illustrates how greed taints best possible outcomes and the crucial need to remain mindful when opportunity presents itself.   We also learn how pride built around one's perception of how the world views them is often a terrible pitfall. Send us Fan Mail How did the camel get its hump anyway?   And how important is it to pull your own weight and to work hard in life?   In this Rudyard Kipling story, Thomas Mitchell seeks to answer these questions with yet another amazing example of his wonderful narration.    Paxton Stanley brings another gorgeous music soundtrack to this classic tale. Send us Fan Mail Greetings fellow, Planet Storytime Listeners! It's been far too long since our team has provided the PSP Universe with a hard update on the state of the show, our future and plans for 2024.    For those of you who have been with us since the beginning back in the late summer of 2019, we salute and thank you!  Without your support, we wouldn't have a show!   For those of you just now achieving orbit around our planet, welcome!    We have much to discuss! As many will attest, our production schedule since 2021 has been, at best, erratic.  There are many reasons for that including Covid-19, Thomas and Paxton's careers and family priorities, lack of funding (we're talking to you, generous listener!  SUBSCRIBE!), and the challenges associated with generating rich, new, content. Our original goal for PSP was to build on the energy and vibe of Mr. Rogers, Sesame Street and The Electric Co. from the 1970s, meaning, yes, we tell stories, but occasionally we make weird music or share gorgeous poems.    Without demands from sponsors, we've been able to make this show whatever we wanted it to be.   Sometimes we hit the mark and other times, not so much, but that's okay because our focus has always been our listernship and a sincere hope that people understand we've always done this show with love in our heart with content that stirs up all kinds of pictures in one's head.  We will conitnue to run "re-runs" given that as our younger listeners grow and begin to focus on different kinds of content, new listeners show up every day.   Our stories are timeless - they are not dependent on current trends and.   There will always be someone's first time hearing Crow & Beetle.   But new content is what keeps the show sharp and thriving and more new content is coming! For now, Paxton asked that we re-publish the full first act of The Beatru Chronicles as he's nearly completed the second act which should be published later this spring! Originally apearing for the first time on 12/6/2020 as PSP34, The Beatru Chronicles tells of the adventures of Beatru, a young girl who wakes up from a dream to find that she's in a strange land with strange creatures and there begins the long journey for our heroine as she navigates this strange world in search of answers, a way back home, and perhaps a clear explanation for the disappearance of her parents. We're excited for the upcoming release of Act II in the months ahead!   For now, enjoy Act I!  This episode features chapter markers in the podcast itself: Chapter 1 - The Clearing Chapter 2 - The River and the Turtle Chapter 3 - Stampede Chapter 4 - Colonel Rhys Chapter 5 - Friends in High Places Chapter 6 - Clarity and Purpose Thank you!
