Hey Future Dietitians, Welcome to Dietetics NEXT! A Podcast made by dietetics students for dietetics students. Follow us as we discuss topics and answering fundamental questions we have all encountered during our track towards becoming dietitians. We will be covering topics such as how to write a personal statement and compelling resume, how to land an internship, what is it like to be a dietetics intern, and looking into alternate career paths in our field. The purpose of this podcast is to give students some clarity and answers on questions we may have all thought at one point.

A Day in the Life of a Sports Dietitian

In today’s episode, we had the pleasure of interviewing Leslie MacManus MS, RD. Leslie has worked with FIU’s athletic department since January of 2022 where she oversees the nutritional status of 18 athletic teams and over 400 student-athletes. Her previous work experience includes competitive youth, collegiate, professional, and elite athletes, as well as the general population. In this interview, Leslie will give an insight into collegiate sports nutrition and will share some tips that can be useful for all future dietitians. Conducting our interview today, we have 3 dietetic students from FIU: Alberto Davila, Daira Deicmane, and Jesus Vazquez Torrez. 
The Fighter Nutritionist
