When the Living Word, Jesus, takes His rightful place on the throne of our heartrs, He changes not only what we believe, but also how we speak.  Instead of using words to conquer, control and crush, we become first responders who use our words to heal, help and bring hope.

When I put myself at the center of my life, I consume community instead of creating community.  Jesus alone can free us from the tyranny of self to live with open hands, surrendered heart and others in mind. As we continue exploring Proverbs, today we examine where our hearts are leading us and what is shaping them along the way. Proverbs reminds us that our words, attention, and actions reveal what is happening within, and that true transformation comes not simply from knowing or doing the right things, but from allowing Jesus to reshape the desires of our hearts.

We were all on the path of death, trusting ourselves and going our own way. Jesus became the Way by taking the death we deserved and giving us the life we didn't. As we follow Him, He forms us one step at a time. We all start as fools, it takes wisdom to know your pattern and change your path. Jesus changes everything by showing us our patterns and changing our path.  For this week’s Outline and Community Group questions, download our app or visit hillsidefellowship.org, click on Resources, and find today’s sermon.

What we focus on forms us. It forms us mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and communally. Join us as we focus on the One who changes everything... Jesus! In Luke's final scene, the risen Jesus shows his disciples that every page of Scripture was always pointing to him, and that his death and resurrection prove he keeps every word he speaks. He then hands them the message as a mission: forgiveness of sins offered in his name to all nations, beginning with the very city that crucified him. And instead of ending with a goodbye, Jesus ascends to his throne mid-blessing, hands still raised, and his people respond the only way you respond to majesty, with worship and great joy.

Jesus allows to walk through disappointments and failures so that he can take us to his "spiritual" operating room to remove sin buried deep within us.

The resurrection is more than a historical event—it changes everything. As we walk through Luke 24:1–12, we see that because Jesus is alive, we can stop looking for life elsewhere, entrust ourselves to Him, and follow Him with confidence.

God does His deepest work behind the scenes.  When we can't see His hand we are called to trust His heart- because while we wait, He is changing everything and weaving every detail together for our good.

God is perfect. At the cross we see His perfect toughness in judging sin, and His perfect tenderness in forgiving sinners.  Join us as we look at the one who changes everything.... His name is Jesus.

From the Garden to the Grave, every part of Jesus was tested to the extreme.  He passed every test perfectly.  Thats why we can trust Him with every part of our lives.

Jesus endured six trials in one night, beaten, mocked, and condemned by people whose minds were already made up about Him. His Identity was questioned, His Innocence was ignored, and Injustice was committed against Him. The sinless Son of God willingly waited through suffering so that the guilty could walk free.

Jesus was tested in the most difficult moments of human experience-betrayal, chaos and injustice- and His perfection was revealed.  Because Jesus is perfect, He is able to perfectly save all who come to Him.
