A Yorkshireman who fell in love with deer whilst working on the Isle of Jura, Nigel is playing a key role in the countryside pursuit arena by bringing game meats to the general public. His passion for farming and game has enabled him to create a professional nationwide distribution network of game meats into retailers, the public, supermarkets and hospitality sectors alike. We need more people like Nigel to champion the sustainability of British game.

Paul Childerely is not only an award winning gamekeeper, sporting company founder and owner, Fieldsports Channel team member but also a 5 times world champion kickboxer and founder of Pro Style Kickboxing. On top of that he's a brand ambassador for the likes of Shooter King. He's incredibly busy but seems to be able to make time for almost anything - even this podcast.

Jim meets Eddie - one half of the Somerset hunters. Although Giloe couldn't make it due to work commitments, it was great to hear how Eddie got involved in countryside pursuit and went on to form the Somerset Hunters on Instagram.  The guys love hunting but more importantly eating the spoils of their efforts.

Jim chats with Rick Whorwood. Rick is a Canadian expert fly fisher, instructor, and fly tyer. He's simply mad about fly fishing and it was great to hear more about his journey after first picking up a rod about 30 years ago.

This week we are lucky to chat with Jonny Carter. Jonny is the 'face' of TGS Outdoors, which is the media arm of The Gun Shop in Botley, Hampshire. Jonny is now a veteran producer of YouTube videos on their YouTube channel and explains how and why they make videos as part of their modus Operandi for the Gun Shop itself as well as his views on wider countryside pursuit topics.

We catch up with Sophie for the third time to see how her crusading business to bring game food to the masses is developing under the cloud of COVID and more lockdowns. It seems the answer is 'pretty good' really, which is testament to her passion to deliver on her mission!

Another instalment from our international series. This week we are in New Zealand. Dave Ryan, an Aimpoint ambassador, experienced hunter and semi-professional guide, chats too us about the rules, regulations, attitudes, quarry diversity and other New Zealand centric aspects of hunting and fieldsports in general.

Mic, having left the Army after a full career, watched a YouTube video on making knives. Fast forward 5 years and he has solely developed a company where he hand crafts bespoke blades for a wide variety of customers. Quality is the order of the day and his order book would suggest he's got it right!
