We continue our "in memoriam" theme for the opening of season 8 with ZZ Top, who lost drummer Frank Beard in 2026 and bassist Dusty Hill in 2021. We play cuts from their 1981 album that finds the longtime blues rock power trio transitioning into the 1980s by embracing synthesizers and New Wave elements.  If you like us, please support us at patreon.com/idbuythatpodcast to get exclusive content (episodes on 45s!), or tell a friend about us.
