What a week for the king. Welcome into The Chosen Hour. I'm Ray Dunne taking you through it here on 975 The Fanatic. What a start to LeBron James' tenure as a 76er, a perfect time to be hosting the show. All about King James and if you're new here, the reason we're here is because LeBron James is here, I said. Four things I would do if LeBron signed here. I would walk around Center City in the Kingsrobe, took care of that. I am going to go to St. Vincent St. Mary's in Akron, Ohio at some point coming up here and we're going to recreate the Harlem Shake video that LeBron did with the heat back in 2013. So, all that is coming up. But one thing, the one thing, one of those four was doing an hour long show every week dedicated to LeBron James's greatness and all things 76ers. So, here we are on the Chosen Hour. If you missed our first week, welcome into the second week of the Chosen Hour airing weekends here on 97.5 The Fanatic and on all podcast platforms for you out there at home. Ray Dunne hanging out with you solo, because it's a solo venture here, for one hour a week, we will be bringing you The Chosen Hour here on The Fanatic, breaking down all things LeBron, the Sixers team and the circus it is that really follows LeBron James in terms of media coverage. Because people were talking about whether or not he was ordering food from Chinatown. We have the helicopter conversation, and then you get to the actual basketball conversation. And why not? LeBron James is in town, why not? Talk about what's going on with this Seventy Sixers team and talk about what's going on with LeBron James. It was something that I promised. So, if you are not familiar with my game, if you are not familiar with my name, and you are not familiar on why The Chosen Hour exists, allow me to bring you back to a different time. Allow me to bring you back to a whole different world in which we once exist. LeBron James was a free agent. The Seventy Sixers had just traded for Jaylen Brown. I actually said the night they traded for Jaylen Brown—you could go check the tape—I said this, they should start to pivot and say, 'Hey LeBron, look at this super team.' Go back, find the reaction video on The Fanatic's YouTube channel. That was my immediate thought: 'Hey, LeBron, look at the team they built here in Philadelphia. Why don't you come join it?' So when they were going through the process of trying to recruit LeBron James and trying to get him to become a Seventy Sixer, we had a day on the show—formerly known as Middays with Marks, it was the midday program before Brace and Dunne, where you might hear me every week, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. And the idea of the show was, 'What would you pledge for LeBron James to be a Seventy Sixer?' I gave a whole list of things what I will do if LeBron James signs, one of them being this show" See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
