Henika Patel is a first generation Indian woman born in England and grew up in a household abundant in the ancient Indian arts, with an ex-monk turned artist father. Andrew Collins is a science and history writer who investigates advanced civilizations in prehistory. He is the co-discoverer of a massive cave complex beneath the Giza plateau, now known as “Collins’ Cave.” The author of several books, including Origins of the Gods and Göbekli Tepe: Genesis of the Gods, he regularly appears on radio shows, podcasts, and TV series, including Ancient Aliens, The UnXplained with William Shatner, and Lost Worlds. He lives in Essex, England. Karahan Tepe is arguably the most exciting archaeological discovery of the twenty-first century. Consisting of a series of stone enclosures and rock-cut edifices carved out of a hillside in the remote Tektek Mountains of southeastern Turkey, it is changing everything we know about the emergence of civilization in the immediate aftermath of the last ice age. Chronicling his explorations of Karahan Tepe, Andrew Collins presents the first in-depth investigation of the discoveries at the site: who built it, its astronomical alignments, and its cosmological connections. He examines the intricate carvings and architectural features, including a newly discovered statue of a giant human figure. Explaining how the site functioned as a shamanic oracle center, Collins shows how its rock-cut structures were used to connect with the Milky Way’s Galactic Bulge and stars of Scorpius in their role as the head and active spirit of a perceived cosmic serpent. He traces this serpent motif throughout history, identifying it with the biblical serpent of Eden, the kundalini of Vedic tradition, and the black snake of the Yezidis. Mirabai Starr is an award-winning author, internationally acclaimed speaker, and interspiritual teacher. She gives talks, retreats and workshops on the teachings of the mystics, the wisdom of the feminine, and contemplative practice, rooted in the transformational power of grief and loss. As a teenager, Mirabai lived at the Lama Foundation, an intentional spiritual community that has honored all the world’s faith traditions since its inception in 1967, and the place where Ram Dass’ iconic book, Be Here Now, was born.
