Exploring | Mesmerize: Am I Bigger Than My Brand?
2026/10/11
We all carry restless questions beneath the surface: Can ambition and contentment coexist? Is success the goal, or just a tool? Is this really as good as it gets? What will I truly be known for? The surprising answers come from ordinary words we use every day - words like Diesel, Ferris, Mesmer, Maverick, Frisbee, and Zeppelin. Each began as the last name of a real person who never set out to build a legacy. They simply solved problems, created something meaningful, and kept moving forward through failures and setbacks. In time, their usefulness outlived them. The EPONYM series invites us to stop chasing significance and finally exhale. Lasting influence doesn’t come from obsessing over legacy; it comes from choosing faithful usefulness right where you are today. This series runs through November 22nd.
Equipping | Overview of Ezra |Ezra
2026/10/11
What happens when God begins rebuilding what has been broken? In the Book of Ezra, we discover a story of restoration, renewal, and hope as God brings His people home from exile, rebuilds their place of worship, and recenters them on His purpose. Join us as we explore verse-by-verse through Ezra to learn how God's Word restores our lives, strengthens our faith, and calls us to live with obedience, love, and community. No matter what has been lost or disrupted, God's faithfulness remains, and He is still in the work of rebuilding lives today. This series runs through December 20th.
Exploring | Scrabble: Learning to Use the Right Words
2026/10/04
What if the board games you grew up with could help you grow as a parent today? In the Game of Life Series, we’ll use familiar games to learn more about everyday parenting and together build essential life skills. Each week highlights a classic game—and core questions families face all the time: Am I using my words wisely? Can I handle life’s ups and downs with grace? Am I chasing what truly matters—or getting stuck on what doesn’t?  Am I building something that will last, or something unstable? While the games are nostalgic and playful, the lessons you’ll glean from this series will be formative, practical, and deeply relevant—helping parents reflect on the patterns they practice and the habits they pass on to their children. This series is designed to shape real life at home, giving families tools to build strong relationships, resilient faith, and lasting values—one move at a time.
Equipping | Winning the Spiritual Battle | 1 Peter 5:8-14
2026/10/04
Peter presents the Christian life as custom masonry. He paints a picture of believers as living stones -- shaped by pressure, fitted by grace, and assembled with purpose. Horizon’s facility echoes this image; its fieldstone exterior emphasizes that suffering is not waste but craftsmanship. As Christ-followers, our faith is built on Christ the Cornerstone, who creates us as his “Bespoke Stonework.” Join Horizon at the Equipping Services for this verse-by-verse study of 1 Peter, as we understand ourselves to be God’s intentional, hand-hewn formations.
