It's that time of the year again!! We are back with another bangin' Christmas tune and a re-imagining that will make you both laugh and cringe at the same time. If you've not heard Property Jam before, then we apologise (!). If you are a regular listener, then you're in for treat! Merry Christmas and we'll see you in the new year!

This month’s special guest is none other than Jack Wicks, Internet property guru - not to be mistaken for the Internet fitness guru Joe!!  Jack tells us all about his move from HMOs to social housing and his mission to house 1 million (count ‘em) vulnerable people through social living and supported living.  We discuss finding your passion and how that drives your success, society’s views around owning versus renting your home, chat about the perfect landlord and trying to understand the “human” behind all of the people that you deal with.  There’s also the first mention of (God Help Us) the ‘C’ word…no not that one…CHRISTMAS!!!  

We have a fab guest in store for you this month guys in the shape of Ella Hardy from Land Profits.  She was super fun to have on and we had a great chat all about land deals, joint ventures, reciprocal investing and going with your gut instinct on deals.  We touch upon deal sourcing - which regular listeners will know elicits a VERY strong response from our hosts - relationship building and the drama of 20 somethings!!  Niall also decides on a new business partner when it turns out Ella knows the best places in Reading to go for a cocktail…

We have another fantastic guest for you this month in the form of King of the North West…ish region Mr Adam Hindley!!  Adam tells us all about his property journey - clue it’s not straightforward and he arrived at property a mere 11 months ago via bass playing and physiotherapy!!  He tells us about being a great match with his business partner, becoming a major player in the Serviced Accommodation sector (or as he calls it “buy to lets on steroids”!) and generally how much he’s loving property life at the moment.  He also asks possibly the best question we’ve ever been asked before on Property Jam so tune in to find out what that was!!  Beware, his enthusiasm is infectious!  Enjoy!

We have a brand new guest on this month’s podcast, coming all the way from the land of canals, tulips and bicycles!  Samuel Hemmings from Hemco Properties tells us all about how he started in property as a student (using his student loan to buy a house) all the way to investing in the student market of Huddersfield - famous for Patrick Stewart, Huddersfield Town football club and Last of the Summer Wine.  Honestly it’s practically a history lesson.  We talk about learning on every project, getting the right team of people around you and the best piece of advice that you’ve ever been given. Join us for the first of our special monthly guest episodes where we introduce Max Scott from Star Property.  All round Jack of All Trades (and quite frankly it sounds like he’s mastered them all!)  He tells us how his property journey started and how it led to him being awarded the Property Investor of the Year Award in 2022 at the Property Investor Awards.  He talks gambling, construction, insurance, law firms and nerves in the auction room as well babies, growth and Imposter Syndrome driving problem solving.  We need a lie down…

We’ve made it to 200 episodes - YIPPEEEEE!!!! Come with us down memory lane we reminisce about how we started, the most listened to episodes and of course the amazing guests that have been on with us.  We talk about starting a podcast in late 2019 and having to adjust how we record during lockdown and then how we relied on and used Property Jam to connect with each other and guests during the pandemic.  Jo throws it back to the 00s with “dongle” issues - let us know if you’re too young to know what we’re talking about!!  Finally a birthday episode wouldn’t be a birthday episode without a look at which US states we’re most popular in - is it still Ohio?!?!  Listen now to find out!!    

Ok so we’re playing host roulette again!!  This week it’s the turn of Niall to be away and so Jo and Matt are flying soloish!!  Jo is surrounded by a 90th birthday party and is obviously having a raucous time during this record so if you hear a bit of background noise that’s what it is.  Elsewhere they talk about how sometimes it takes longer than you think to complete deals and some of the reasons behind this.  Both Matt and Jo have personal tales of woe on this subject and as ever there’s no holds barred in sharing them with us.  We’d love your thoughts on this episode so please do get in contact via all the usual ways across social media.  Enjoy!
