New Life & Baptism| HEALTHY | Matthew 28:-18-20 & Romans 6:3-4 | Ps Dan Cronin
2026/09/30
What does baptism mean, and what does it look like when new life in Jesus begins to reproduce through ordinary people? In the final week of our HEALTHY sermon series, Pastor Dan shares from Matthew 28:18–20 and Romans 6:3–4.Throughout this series we have explored what it means to become healthy disciples — rooted in Jesus, formed by His ways, connected to His body, and sent to help others discover new life in Him.Baptism gives us a powerful picture of the gospel: buried with Christ and raised to new life. But it also reminds us that the Christian life was never meant to stop with us. Jesus calls His followers to make disciples, baptise them, and help them learn to follow Him.Big Idea: Healthy disciples receive new life from Jesus and help others discover that life too.In this message:- What baptism means- Why Christians get baptised- The meaning of Romans 6:3–4- How Jesus gives new life- The Great Commission in Matthew 28:18–20- What it means to make disciples- Why every believer is sent- How ordinary Christians can share their faith- Why new life in Jesus is meant to reproduceKey Passages: Matthew 28:18–20; Romans 6:3–4 Supporting Passages: 2 Corinthians 5:17; 2 Timothy 2:2 Series:*HEALTHY — Healthy Disciples. Every Part | HEALTHY | Ephesians 4:11-16 | Ps Dan Cronin
2026/09/22
What does a healthy church actually look like?In Week 3 of our HEALTHY sermon series, Pastor Dan shares from Ephesians 4:11–16, where Paul describes the church as the body of Christ — growing and building itself up in love “as each part does its work.”A healthy church is not built by a few people doing everything while everyone else watches. It grows as every believer matures, belongs, serves and plays their part — both through church life and in the everyday places where Jesus has sent us.In this message we explore:* What Ephesians 4 teaches about church leadership and ministry* Why leaders are called to equip the whole church* The difference between attendance and belonging* What spiritual maturity really looks like* Why every Christian has a part to play* How serving forms us into the likeness of Jesus* Why ministry is bigger than Sunday services* Living on mission in our homes, workplaces, schools and streets* How the whole body grows when every part contributesBig Idea: A healthy church grows as every believer matures, belongs, and plays their part wherever Jesus has placed them.Key Passage: Ephesians 4:11–16Series: HEALTHY — Healthy Disciples. Devoted | HEALTHY | Acts 2:42-47 | Ps Dan Cronin
2026/09/14
What does it look like to build a spiritually healthy life?
In Week 2 of our HEALTHY sermon series, Pastor Dan shares from Acts 2:42–47, where the early church is described with one powerful phrase: “They devoted themselves…”
Healthy disciples don’t drift into spiritual maturity. They intentionally build their lives around rhythms that keep forming them into the likeness of Jesus.
In this message we explore the importance of Scripture, prayer, worship, Christian community, generosity and everyday discipleship, and ask a simple but challenging question:
What is shaping the person I am becoming?
Big Idea: Healthy disciples intentionally build their lives around rhythms that continually form them into the likeness of Jesus.
In this message:
What Acts 2 teaches us about healthy discipleship
Why spiritual growth requires intentionality
How daily habits shape our faith
Building a consistent Bible-reading and prayer life
The importance of Christian community and fellowship
How spiritual disciplines help us become more like Jesus
Why healthy disciples become generous and missional
Moving from powerful encounters with God to a devoted lifestyle
Key Passage: Acts 2:42–47Series: HEALTHY — Healthy Disciples. Healthy Church. Lasting Fruit.
If you want to grow in your relationship with Jesus, develop healthy spiritual habits, understand Christian discipleship more deeply, or build your life around God’s Word, prayer and community, we pray this message encourages and challenges you.

What does it mean to be a spiritually healthy Christian?
In Week 1 of our new sermon series HEALTHY, Pastor Dan shares from John 15:1–11, where Jesus gives one of His clearest invitations to discipleship: “Remain in me.”
Before we focus on doing more, serving more, growing more or achieving more, Jesus calls us to stay deeply connected to Him. In this message we explore what it means to abide in Christ, how spiritual fruit is produced, why God prunes us, and how our relationship with Jesus becomes the foundation for a healthy Christian life.
Big Idea: Healthy disciples are deeply connected to Jesus, because lasting fruit only comes from abiding in Him.
In this message:
What it means to remain in Jesus
How to grow spiritually as a Christian
The meaning of the vine and branches in John 15
Why God prunes us
How spiritual fruit develops
The importance of dependence on Jesus
Building a healthy relationship with God

Ready for the King | KINGDOM STORIES | Matthew 25:1-13 | Ps Dan Cronin
2026/09/02
In the final message of our Kingdom Stories series, Pastor Dan explores the Parable of the Ten Virgins from Matthew 25:1–13 and asks one final, searching question:
Are you ready for the King?
Jesus tells the story of ten young women waiting for the bridegroom. All ten knew he was coming, all ten had lamps, and all ten were waiting—but only five were ready when he arrived.
In this message, we explore:
why looking ready is not the same as being ready
why relationship with Jesus cannot be borrowed from someone else
how waiting reveals the reality of our faith
why the return of Jesus should produce hope, not fear
what it looks like to live faithfully, expectantly and with eternity in view
how to keep the flame burning while we wait for the King
Big Idea: Kingdom people live ready for Jesus—not in fear, but in faithful, expectant relationship with Him.
📖 Passage: Matthew 25:1–13🎙 Speaker: Rev Dan Cronin⛪ Heart Church, Morecambe
As we close the series, we look back at the journey Jesus has taken us on through His parables—from small beginnings, to transformation, treasure, mercy, faithfulness and finally readiness for the return of the King.

Faithful With What You've Been Given | KINGDOM STORIES | Matthew 25:14-30 | Ps Dan Cronin
2026/08/24
In Week 5 of our Kingdom Stories series, Pastor Dan explores the Parable of the Talents from Matthew 25:14–30 and asks a simple but challenging question:
What am I doing with what God has entrusted to me?
Jesus tells the story of a master who gives different amounts to his servants and later returns to see how they have used what was placed in their hands. The focus is not comparison, success or status—it is faithfulness.
In this message, we explore:
why everything we have is ultimately entrusted to us by Godhow comparison can distract us from our own callingwhy fear can cause us to bury what God has given uswhat it means to be faithful with both little and muchhow our view of God shapes the way we serve Himwhy the words we should long to hear are: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”Big Idea: God is not asking us to compare what we have been given; He is asking us to faithfully use what He has entrusted to us.

Mercy That Changes Everything | KINGDOM STORIES | Matthew 18:21-38 | Pastor Dan Cronin
2026/08/19
Kingdom Stories | Week 4: Mercy That Changes Lives
In Week 4 of our Kingdom Stories series, Pastor Dan explores one of Jesus’ most challenging parables—the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant in Matthew 18:21–35.
Peter asks Jesus a simple question: “How many times should I forgive?” Jesus responds with a story that reveals the extraordinary mercy of God and the way that mercy should reshape how we treat those who have hurt us.
In this message, we explore:
the unpayable debt that God has forgiven
why receiving mercy should change the way we extend mercy
what biblical forgiveness really means
the difference between forgiveness, reconciliation and restored trust
how unforgiveness can keep us bound to past hurt
why the cross is the ultimate demonstration of costly mercy
Big Idea: People who understand how much they have been forgiven become people who extend forgiveness to others.
The message concludes around Communion, remembering that Jesus did not simply ignore our debt—He paid it Himself through the cross.

Worth Everything | KINGDOM STORIES | Matthew 13:44 | Pastor Dan Cronin
2026/08/05
In Week 3 of our Kingdom Stories series, Pastor Dan explores one of the shortest but most searching parables Jesus ever told—the Parable of the Hidden Treasure in Matthew 13:44.A man discovers treasure hidden in a field and, in his joy, sells everything he has to gain it. Jesus is not teaching that salvation can be bought. He is showing us that when we truly see the worth of His Kingdom, surrender stops feeling like reluctant loss and becomes a joyful response. In this message, we explore:how people discover Jesus in unexpected placeswhy the Kingdom is worth more than anything the world can offerhow competing treasures shape our prioritieswhy surrender becomes joyful when we see the worth of Christhow Jesus gave everything to bring us into His KingdomBig Idea: Following Jesus is not about reluctantly losing everything; it is about joyfully discovering Someone who is worth everything.📖 Passage: Matthew 13:44🎙 Speaker: Rev Dan Cronin⛪ Heart Church, MorecambeHeart Church exists to give the people of Morecambe and beyond repeated opportunities to see, hear and respond to Jesus.Subscribe to the channel, share this message with someone who may be encouraged, and join us as we continue discovering the Kingdom through the stories of Jesus.
The Kingdom Changes Everything | KINGDOM STORIES | Matthew 13:33 | Pastor Dan Cronin
2026/07/21
In Week 2 of our Kingdom Stories series, Pastor Dan continues exploring the parables of Jesus through Matthew 13:33—the parable of the yeast.
Jesus uses a simple picture from everyday life to reveal a powerful truth: the Kingdom of God often works quietly, patiently and beneath the surface, yet it transforms everything it touches.
In this message, we discover that:
the Kingdom often arrives in unexpected ways
God’s work in us can be hidden without being absent
true transformation begins in the heart
spiritual growth is often slow, deep and gradual
King Jesus wants every area of our lives to come under His loving rule
Just as a small amount of yeast works through the whole dough, the Holy Spirit continues shaping us from the inside out until the life of Jesus is increasingly seen in us.
Big Idea: When the Kingdom takes hold of a person’s life, it transforms them from the inside out until every area comes under King Jesus.

Open Doors | JESUS OVER EVERYTHING | Colossians 4:2-18 | Pastor Dan Cronin
2026/06/30
📖 Colossians 4:2–18How should we respond after discovering that Jesus is over everything? In the final message of our Jesus Over Everything series, we come to Paul's closing words to the church in Colossae. Far from being a list of final greetings, this passage is a powerful commission to every follower of Jesus.Paul calls the church to be devoted to prayer, watchful for the opportunities God provides, wise in the way they live, gracious in the way they speak, and faithful in serving alongside one another. This message explores:👉 What it means to devote ourselves to prayer👉 Why Paul prayed for open doors rather than open prison gates👉 How to recognise and seize God-given opportunities👉 Speaking with grace and truth in a divided world👉 Why the mission of the Church is always a team effort👉 How ordinary, faithful people make an extraordinary impact for the Kingdom of GodAs we conclude our journey through Colossians, we're reminded that the goal of this letter was never simply to increase our knowledge of Jesus—it was to transform the way we live for Him.We've discovered that Jesus is Creator, Sustainer, Saviour and King. Jesus in the Home | JESUS OVER EVERYTHING | Colossians 3:18-4:1 | Pastor Dan Cronin
2026/06/23
📖 Colossians 3:18–4:1
What happens when the Lordship of Jesus reaches into our closest relationships?
In Week 9 of our *Jesus Over Everything* series, we explore one of the most practical and challenging passages in the book of Colossians. After showing us who Jesus is and all that He has done for us, Paul now brings the gospel into everyday life—into our marriages, families, workplaces and relationships.
This message explores:
👉 God's design for marriage and why it still matters today
👉 The radical nature of Paul's teaching in its original context
👉 Mutual love, honour and sacrifice in Christian marriage
👉 Parenting with both truth and grace
👉 What it means to work as unto the Lord
👉 Leadership, responsibility and accountability under Christ
👉 How the gospel transforms every relationship it touches
We also consider how to uphold and celebrate God's good design for marriage while extending grace, compassion and hope to those whose stories include pain, disappointment, separation or divorce.
The central message of Colossians 3:18–4:1 is not ultimately about authority or roles. It is about Lordship.
Because when Jesus is Lord of your life, He transforms every relationship in your life.

What if the greatest danger to your faith isn't rejecting Jesus—but slowly replacing Him?
