Broken Down Barriers
2026/09/28
Some barriers are made of stone, concrete, or even barbed wire. Others, however, can be made from suspicion, pride and fear. As we continue to work through the book of Ephesians, we will learn about the barriers that stood between God and all mankind, and between people. Thankfully, Christ has broken down those walls and, as His children today, God calls us to live at peace with others, refusing to rebuild any barrier that Jesus may have already torn down.
Guilt Gone, Grace Given
2026/09/21
Sin separates people from God. There is nothing we can do to make this right. But God sent His Son, Jesus, to live the perfect life we cannot live and to pay for our sins on the cross. His rescue plan gives us life, direction for life, and the call to do the work He has prepared for us.
Joins us as Pastor Mark continues our sermon series on Ephesians, as he preaches from the foundational 2nd chapter of this amazing book.
Claimed & Crowned
2026/09/14
Have you ever met someone, and they ask you to tell them a little about yourself? Did you talk about family, where you work or go to school, or maybe what your dog's name is? How long did it take until you eventually talked about your identity as a Christian, as a child of God?
Join us as Pastor Dave uses Ephesians 1:15-23 to remind us that our identity isn't found in things, but is found in the fact we are claimed, cherished, and crowned by the Lord of Lords and King of Kings.
God's Masterplan of Mercy
2026/09/08
We have been adopted into a new identity. It began with Jesus' sacrifice, offering complete forgiveness when we were unable to help ourselves. And, instead of leaving us empty, our generous Creator lavishes the ultimate goodness upon us from His infinite riches.
Join us as we start our new sermon series, "Ephesians, All Because of Jesus." This is our nine-week study on the book of Ephesian, starting with Pastor Mark preaching on God's Masterplan of Mercy.
Being Content
2026/08/31
This Sunday we combine the 9th and 10th Commandments and look at God's call to avoid all forms of coveting. Our attempt to achieve true, lasting happiness can easily spin out of control, becoming unhealthy, intense and even illegal. Thankfully, true happiness can be found in learning how to be content. As we conclude our series, we will discover how to not only appreciate and enjoy all that God has already given us, but how to be happy and glad for what others have, as well.
Nothing But The Truth
2026/08/24
Have you ever wondered what God thinks of the words you use? The 8th Commandment talks about not bearing false testimony. Does that only apply when you are in a court of law? No, God forbids us to tell lies, betray, and slander our neighbor. He says that we are to always defend their reputation and speak well of them. That all makes sense, but what about "little white lies", exaggerations, or even sharing a little gossip?
Join us as Pastor Dave unpacks the 8th Commandment and applies it to God's role in your life and the need to always speak the truth in love.
Living with Integrity
2026/08/17
The Seventh Commandment means a lot more than, "Don't take what is not yours."
Join us as Pastor Mark preaches on the call to work, share, give, and bless as we continue our summer sermon series, "Written in Stone".
Pursuing Purity
2026/08/11
God created us and understands us better than we understand ourselves. That's why He gave us the Ten Commandments: not to hurt us, but to help us; not to punish us, but to protect us.
Join us as we learn several guidelines to help us honor the 6th Commandment and, as His children, pursue and maintain purity in every area of our lives.
Protecting Life
2026/08/03
Martin Luther, in his Small Catechism writes, "God creates, preserves, and protects our life. He is caring and compassionate toward all He has made, and He calls us to be so also." Join us as Pastor Mark continues our summer series on the Ten Commandments, a as he preaches on the 5th Commandment, "you shall not murder."
Giving Respect
2026/07/27
As we continue our series, "Written in Stone," we will see how the Commandments shift our focus from loving God to loving others. In the Fourth Commandment, God begins this new focus by calling us to give respect and honor to every form of authroity He has established. Join us as we look specifically at our parents and consider how we are called to honor and respect them as though we were honoring and respecting God Himself.
Taking a Break
2026/07/20
The Third Commandment reads, "Remember the Sabbath by keeping it holy." Does it mean that we simply relax and do nothing? Or is it a day of service? And does it have to be on a Sunday...or a Saturday?
Join us as we continue our summer sermon series, "Written in Stone", as Pastor Mark preaches on the Third Commandment.
Honoring the Name
2026/07/13
Everybody has a name and names are important. A person's name can represent their reputation, their character, as well as their authority. For those same reasons, we are commanded to take God's name very seriously and not misuse it. As we continue our series, "Written in Stone", we will look at the need to treat God's holy name with awe and reverence instead of using it thoughtlessly or carelessly.
Accepting No Substitutes
2026/07/06
Out of love for us, God gave us the Ten Commandments. They are the foundation to healthy, God-centered ways to live as His children. It is true that there are many named gods that people uselessly worship. So, God begins the Ten Commandments by establishing the fact that we are to worship Him above all things. That makes sense, but Luther reminds us that, "whatever you confide in, that is your god.' Whatever we count on to give us meaning and value in life, that is our god." Things like time, money, and success can become idols.
Join us as Pastor Dave helps us better understand and apply the First Commandment to our lives.
The Foundation
2026/06/29
God's moral law, known as the Ten Commandments, offers us the guidance and stability our hearts need. As we explore these truths that are "Written in Stone" throughout this new sermon series, we rejoice that they provide absolute clarity, enduring hope, and a steady roadmap for navigating the complexities of modern life.
We often view the Ten Commandments as a rigid list of ancient rules or an impossible moral checklist. But God gave these words as a motivator to drive us to Jesus and as a rule and guide for life. Join us as Pastor Mark preaches on "The Foundation".
Exploring God's Faithfulness
2026/06/24
Our ability to trust another person is based on how much we know them. Of course, to know them, we need to have a relationship with them. The Holy Spirit empowers us to know God and enjoy a relationship with Him through faith. This relationship is strengthened by the many promises made within His Word - promises that we can trust Him to keep. As we continue in our series "No one Greater", we explore the fact that, among many other things, our God is faithful!
