Description

Welcome to the Real Life Weight Loss Podcast where we cut through the confusion and get down to the truth - down to what really works for REAL people when it comes to losing weight and keeping it off. We're diving into the most doable, sustainable weight loss strategies. This podcast is all about busy moms, dads, husbands, wives who are working, raising kids, and trying to juggle everything life’s throwing at them … but also want to be the best they can for their family and friends and loved ones. I’m your host Corey Little, a nutritionist and weight loss specialist with 2 degrees, 3 certifications, and 20 years of experience. I've been a champion bodybuilder with 3% body-fat and I’ve also pigged out at all-you-can-eat buffets and have a deep love of food and enjoying life like crazy! So, I’m not some Nutrition Robot or extremist. I’m a real person just like you who loves the good things in life - friends, family, and all the delicious food that comes with it. So, make no mistake - this podcast is NOT about how to get six-pack abs or how to drop as much weight as possible in 8 weeks. There’s more to life than abs and there’s more to your body than how much you weigh. Honestly, weight loss is not really about losing weight … it’s about gaining life! Doing things you never thought you could. Having renewed confidence. And enjoying your body and your health more than ever. Week by week, I’ll provide bite-sized guidance - 15 to 20 minute episodes that pull back the curtain and reveal the truth about what it takes to lose weight and gain life - what strategy and approach real people are using to get results without giving up their day-to-day life. And here’s the really cool part … It’s really not as hard or confusing as you might think. Changing your body, getting crazy healthy, and demanding success from life is do-able for everyone - and it can be fun - and I’ll show you how.

The 3-Question Algorithm That Will Set You Free or Change Your Life
2026/04/21
You might be making this way harder than it needs to be. You might be stressing… overthinking… and spinning your wheels… When the real answer is pretty simple. Because you only have two options. In this episode, I walk you through a powerful step-by-step process (what I call a “weight loss algorithm”) to help you figure out which one is right for you. Because here’s the truth . . . Without action, nothing changes. Without peace, nothing feels good — even if you succeed Most people are stuck in the worst place possible… Wanting change but not taking action - AND - not at peace either That’s the formula for never-ending frustration and dissatisfaction. In this episode, you’ll learn: • The 3 questions that will give you instant clarity • How to know if you actually need to lose weight • Why chasing weight loss might be distracting you from a bigger issue • The “dissatisfaction trap” that keeps people stuck for years • How to finally move forward — either with action or with peace If you want to succeed, you don’t need more information. You need a decision. So, if you . . . Think about your weight all the timeFeel stuck but aren’t taking consistent actionTired of the mental back-and-forthWant clarity and relief Then this episode is for YOU. Why Marshmallows Might Hold The Secret To Losing Weight
2026/04/14
In 1972, a group of Stanford researchers did an experiment with marshmallows. They discovered one gigantic breakthrough that could make all the difference for you. In this episode, I break down what this one thing is and why it quietly shapes almost every area of your life — especially when it comes to your body and health. In this episode, you’ll learn: What the marshmallow experiment really revealedThe true role of discipline (and why most people misunderstand it)How instant gratification quietly keeps you stuckThe hidden way self-trust gets damaged over timeAnd how to start rebuilding your confidence! If you . . . • Struggle to stay consistent • Make choices you later regret • Or have started to question your discipline This episode is for you! It will help you understand why — and what to do about it. INTERESTED IN THE 2026 SPRING SPECIAL? >> Contact Us: [email protected]

Three Hard Truths That Expose The Biggest Weight Loss Lies
2026/04/07
There are a lot of lies floating around in the weight loss world. Some come from diet culture. Some come from social media. And some… come from the way we’ve trained ourselves to think. In this episode, I break down three hard truths that challenge some of the most common (and damaging) beliefs people carry about losing weight. These aren’t tips. They’re not hacks. They’re the kinds of truths that might sting a little… but can completely change the way you approach weight loss. In this episode, we cover: Why you don’t actually “fall off the wagon” — and what’s really happening when you doThe truth about gaining weight back (and why it’s not random or out of your control)Why weight loss always comes with a cost — and how to decide if it’s worth itWhy success requires both structure and self-compassion — not just one or the other If any of this sounds familiar . . . > You feel like you’re either “on” or “off” > You’re afraid of gaining the weight back > You’ve tried a lot of different things, but nothing sticks > You feel stuck in the same cycle over and over Then this episode is for you! Five Simple Food Swaps and Weight Loss Tips That Can Make a Big Difference
2026/03/31
Do you make this recipe mistake? What type of coffee creamer do you use? Have you ever tried this snacking tip to save calories? Today, I’ve got some super practical food swaps and weight loss tips for ya! But I’ve got to be honest … I’m not a fan of weight loss tips and tricks. Not because they’re useless — but because they’re often misunderstood. Tips and tricks can help in the short term. But they won’t deliver the long-term, life-changing results most people actually want. They’re band-aids. Not real solutions. That being said, in this episode I do provide five simple, doable food tips that can help you in your weight loss journey. Even though tips aren’t the solution, they can support the process. I hope these are helpful. And I hope you take 2 minutes to rate, review, or share the podcast :) Join Corey’s Email Newsletter: https://LoseFatList.com COREY'S ANTI-DIET CLASS: http://www.AntiDietClass.com

Make Peace - Then Make Progress
2026/03/24
One of the biggest reasons people struggle to lose weight has nothing to do with food or exercise. It’s where their attention is. Most people are stuck between two places: Frustrated with where they are now . . . Obsessed with where they want to go . . . And that tension? It keeps them distracted, overwhelmed, and inconsistent. In this episode, I break down a powerful shift we worked through in my Last Monday Reset Workshop … Removing the mental noise that keeps you stuck — so you can finally take consistent action. Because, as James Clear says . . . You don’t rise to your goals. You fall to your systems. And if your systems don’t support you, you’ll stay stuck — no matter how motivated you feel. If you’re tired of overthinking, obsessing, and spinning your wheels . . . This episode is for you. Join Corey’s Email Newsletter: https://LoseFatList.com

The Hidden Pressure That Makes Weight Loss Feel Emotional (and Sabotages Your Efforts)
2026/03/19
“How does a weight loss program bring up so much emotional stuff?” That's what a client recently asked me. The answer is simple - weight loss isn’t just about food and exercise. It’s about your thoughts, beliefs, habits, patterns, stress, emotions, and self-awareness. And for many people, the biggest obstacle isn’t discipline — it’s perfectionism and all-or-nothing thinking. In this episode, I break down: Why weight loss often feels overwhelming and emotionalHow diet culture conditions you to chase perfectionThe mental traps your “inner bully” uses to keep you stuckWhy pressure and unrealistic expectations destroy consistencyAnd what actually works instead If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by food, your body, or the scale, and wondered why this feels so much harder than it should . . . This episode is for YOU. Because the truth is … You don’t have a motivation problem. You have a strategy problem. And once you fix the strategy, everything changes. Which of These Weight Loss Approaches Do You Normally Take
2026/03/17
Do whatever diet, workout, or weight loss program you want, but if your overall approach is wrong, then you’re kind of doomed. After almost 25 years in the fitness and weight loss world, I’ve noticed patterns in how people try to lose weight. Whether you realize it or not, you probably routinely take a very similar approach to what you’ve always done. It might be a different diet or exercise program, but … Your mindset … Your overall strategy … The way you view the program … The way you go about taking action … How you prepare (or don’t prepare) … All of that comes together to create a certain overall approach. There are 4 primary approaches that I’ve noticed . Three of them will likely stress you out and lead to burnout. The other one is the best way to lose weight and actually keep it off. Until you find the path that works and fits you, you'll just keep repeating the same cycle over and over with very little weight loss results to show. Maybe it’s time to take an entirely new approach. Here’s the link I mentioned in this episode . . . 👉 The Last Monday Reset Ever™ Workshop If you’re tired of repeating the same cycle — starting strong, messing up, beating yourself up, and restarting again — this workshop is for you. 🎯 Register here: EverybodyHatesDiets.com 📅 Thursday, March 19 ⏰ 8 PM Eastern 👉 30 spots available We’ll shift you out of perfectionism with a doable plan that fits your life.. Four Ways You're Fooling Yourself (and Staying Stuck)
2026/03/10
My client had done everything … yet hadn’t actually done anything. Sound familiar? There are sneaky ways we keep ourselves busy that feel productive, but in reality, they keep us stuck in the exact same place. In this episode, I break down the four biggest ways we fool ourselves when trying to lose weight. We’ll uncover . . . Why these patterns can be so commonWhat’s really driving themAnd how they quietly reinforce a self-defeating belief Most importantly, I’ll help you identify whether you’re doing this — and what to do instead. If you’ve ever felt stuck in the start-over-on-Monday cycle, this episode is for you. No Detoxes, No Gimmicks, Here's The Stuff That Actually Works (and some tough love coaching)
2026/03/03
Weight loss isn’t a mystery — but your brain might be making it feel like one. In this episode, I share the tried and true stuff that actually works. If you’re ready to stop chasing secrets and start seeing real results, then this episode is for you! It will simplify everything and empower you to make more progress than ever before. It was all inspired by a coaching conversation where a client gave me three obstacles she was experiencing . . . “I don’t like to cook” “I don’t really like much healthy food,” “There’s something I’m missing” I’ll explain why the real issue isn’t missing information — it’s missing consistent mastery of the basics. In the episode, I break down: The stuff that REALLY works (no gimmicks)Why your brain loves serving up obstaclesThe truth about whether or not you have to meal prep to lose weightWhy successful change requires learning to “love what you hate” If you want to lose weight, keep it off, and stop feeling confused about what works… then crank the volume up and let’s do this! Aubre’s Story of Cycling Through Different Diets to Finally Losing Weight, Having Less Food Noise, and Not Constantly Obsessing
2026/02/24
Aubre is a working mom of three who has been on and off diets for about 25 years. She’s tried Weight Watchers, Slimfast, Noom, and P90x, to name a few. She said . . . “I would spend so much time getting ready for a diet … then I would always start feeling overwhelmed and weigh myself everyday … and the diet would always stop.” Does any of this sound familiar? I bet her story is very similar to yours in a lot of ways. And I bet you’ll be inspired by this story of real life weight loss struggles and success! Aubre shares reality - the ups and downs and everything in between. The Accountability Myth: Why I’ve Changed My Mind About Accountability
2026/02/17
“I need someone to hold me accountable.” It’s one of the most common things people say when they’re struggling to stay consistent. And for a long time, I believed it too. In this episode, I explain why I’ve changed my mind about accountability. It’s often misunderstood and overvalued. This episode is about shifting from being afraid to let others down to learning how to stop letting yourself down — and why your relationship with yourself is the real foundation for consistency. WHAT YOU’LL LEARN IN THIS EPISODE: Why accountability isn’t the magic solution most people think it isWhy fear of letting others down doesn’t lastThe difference between external and internal accountabilityHow repeatedly “falling short” trains you to expect failure from yourselfWhy repairing your relationship with yourself matters more than you can imagineWhat truly successful clients do differently WHO THIS EPISODE IS FOR: >> Anyone who feels like they “just need more accountability” >> People who struggle with consistency and follow-through >> Those who have started and stopped many times This is the kind of work I do with my clients. 5 Things I’m Seeing That Are Ticking Me Off and Screwing You Up
2026/02/10
There are a handful of ideas I’m seeing everywhere right now — on social media, in ads, and in the weight loss space — and honestly, they’re driving me a little crazy. Why? Because they’re oversimplified, misleading, and quietly setting people up to fail. In this episode, I break down five things that sound convincing on the surface, but often do more harm than good when it comes to weight loss, health, and long-term success. This isn’t about trends or hot takes. It’s about learning how to think more clearly in a world that rewards extremes, shortcuts, and unrealistic expectations. If you’ve ever felt confused, discouraged, or pulled in ten different directions when it comes to fitness and nutrition — this episode will help you recalibrate. This episode is for . . . >> Anyone tired of conflicting advice about weight loss >> People who feel overwhelmed by fitness trends and extremes >> Those who want sustainable results — not shortcuts >> People who value clarity, honesty, and long-term thinking >> Anyone ready to stop chasing hype and start thinking critically Here's what we'll cover . . . Why absolute, black-and-white claims should always raise a red flagHow underqualified coaches create more confusion than clarityWhy trying to fix internal struggles with external “solutions” rarely worksThe real problem with short-term challenges for long-term weight lossHow unrealistic body ideals distort what “success” even means anymoreGLP-1 medications, peptides, and why they can’t do the work for youWhy “It depends” is often the most honest and correct answerHow social media has warped our expectations of healthy bodiesThe difference between being good at social media and being good at coaching This episode reflects how I approach coaching — not with absolutes, gimmicks, or shortcuts, but with nuance, real-world application, and keeping the long game in mind. Emotional Eating, Stress Eating, and The Deserve-It Mentality
2026/02/03
Have you ever noticed how easy it can be to find a reason to eat? A great day. A hard day. Stress. Celebration. Exhaustion. In this episode, we explore emotional eating, stress eating, and what I call the “deserve it” mentality. Whether we realize it or not, this is quietly undermining our relationship with food and long-term results Using real client examples, we explore how the same mindset shows up whether you’re celebrating success or struggling with stress … and why both lead to the same outcome when food becomes the reward, relief, or escape. This episode isn’t about restriction or shame. It’s about awareness, honesty, and choosing a better framework — one that supports real freedom instead of keeping you stuck in cycles of reward, guilt, and restarting. WHAT YOU’LL LEARN IN THIS EPISODE: What the “deserve it” mentality really is (and why it’s so common)How “deserve it” shows up during both success and stressWhy earning food through exercise, dieting, or emotional suffering backfiresWhy “deserve” vs “don’t deserve” is a trap either wayWhat it looks like to move from a deserve-it mindset to a freedom mindset WHO THIS EPISODE IS FOR: Anyone who eats “because they deserve it” — for good days or bad onesPeople who feel stuck in cycles of reward, guilt, and restartingThose who use food to cope with stress, overwhelm, or emotionsAnyone working to rebuild a healthier relationship with foodThose who want freedom, not food rules This is the kind of work I do with my clients — learning how to unlink food and emotions, break unhelpful patterns, and build a healthier, more honest relationship with food. This Will Totally Change How You Think About Losing Weight
2026/01/27
Over the last few episodes, we talked about why dieting stops working, how people outgrow the all-or-nothing approach, and what sustainable change actually looks like in real life. In a nutshell, we discussed Rebuilding vs Restarting. In this episode, we zoom out. Because rebuilding isn’t a phase or a series we’re “done” with — it’s the foundation underneath everything else. You’ll learn how the Rebuilder mindset changes the way you approach food, habits, mindset, and consistency… and how this lens carries forward into everything we talk about next and everything you do when it comes to losing weight. What You’ll Learn Why rebuilding isn’t something you move on fromHow the Rebuilder lens changes “normal” nutrition and habit adviceWhy calm, steady progress is a feature — not a flawHow rebuilding supports real life instead of fighting itWhat it means to stop restarting for good We’ll also cover . . . Why rebuilding mattered so muchWhat rebuilding is (and what it isn’t)How rebuilding becomes your operating systemApplying rebuilding to food, habits, and mindsetWhere coaching can fit in This Episode Is For . . .
