Here in the Northern Hemisphere, we are entering the Fall Season. The Equinox is a time to reflect on the previous season and see what changes we need to make to create more balance in our lives. Have you ever heard of Eileen O'Connor, Australia's next saint? I recently discovered her while reading the novel Every Inch a Saint – A Novel About Eileen O'Connor, Australia's Next Saint-in-Waiting by author Kate Clinch. Eileen O'Connor only lived to be twenty-eight and was extremely ill most of her short life, and yet she founded an order called Our Lady's Nurses for the Poor from her sick bed…how did she do it? I had the privilege of interviewing author Kate Clinch and asking her that exact question in this week's episode! Kate's story is just as fascinating as Eileen's! When 2 and 3 are out of balance together, this is what I call the 'anxiety pattern.' Emotions and thoughts go round and round in a loop, which can cause that feeling of anxiety. 3)  The other pattern is 2 and 4. These chakras are feminine centers, meaning energy is moving into them. When they are out of balance, it becomes difficult for them to receive energy. Why would this be? In my experience, this pattern indicates feeling unsafe or a need to protect yourself. Do you remember who first taught you to pray or meditate? Was it your grandmother, or perhaps the person who taught the first yoga class you attended? We have SO many spiritual teachers on the spiritual path, and it is important to stop and thank them. In the Hindu tradition there is an annual holy day called 'Guru Purnima' which is the full moon day we honor our Guru or spiritual teacher. The word guru means dispeller of darkness, meaning the darkness of ignorance. Any teacher can be a guru (with a small g), but Guru (with a capital G) is THE Guru, the one who awakens you to the truth of your being, and THAT Guru lives within each one of us. Can love heal all things? We hear that so often in scripture, but is it really true? In my experience, if you think of human love, then maybe not. BUT, if you mean Divine Love… absolutely! In the book, The Dynamic Laws of Healing by Catherine Ponder, she explains this in great detail by giving us real life examples of how Divine Love healed people of seemingly incurable things. This book is filled with so many suggestions to help you heal any area of your life. But my favorite chapter is the Law of Love, and that is the one I am sharing with you today. But I find this book, The Dynamic Laws of Healing, to be even more powerful and easy to apply to your life. 2)    She states that Divine Love is like a balm to heal the mind, and that ALL ills originate in the mind. You can dissolve thoughts of hate, resentment, frustration, anger, jealousy and all negative emotions by simply repeating "Divine Love" over and over, saturating your mind with this frequency. 3)    When she speaks of healing, she does not mean only physical healing. ALL healing is included. There is a story in the book of a homeless man who was also an alcoholic who was able to turn his life around by focusing on Divine Love.
