Description

I’ve lost over 250 pounds and changed my life radically many times over. I’ll be detailing my life as a child in a religious cult, growing up as a fat kid, losing weight, bariatric surgery, fitness hacks, meal and life planning strategies and real life, tough love cheering you on to achieving your goals and aspirations. I don’t pet. I am silly. I am fun. And I am simply ordinary. Which means I am qualified to convince other ordinary folks how to do the extraordinary.

The Sweet Escape - Living Life Without Sugar
2025/08/06
In this podcast episode, I share my personal journey of removing sugar from my life, detailing the challenges and benefits I have experienced along the way. Takeaways Giving up sugar does not equate to suffering. The removal of sugar has lifts a stronghold on the brain. Food should not be euphoric; it should be nourishing. There are no downsides to living without sugar. Feeling addicted to sugar is a sign of a dysfunctional relationship with it. The mental burden of sugar consumption is exhausting - never is easier than the war. Want to learn more about type 2 diabetes and the dangers of sugar? Running Toward Purpose: Fitness, Family, and Fierce Energy
2025/04/17
In this episode, I’m catching you up on everything—from accidentally recording Roy making bacon instead of the actual podcast (oops!) to a quick but meaningful trip to Minnesota to celebrate my brother. I share stories about time with my nieces, running a hot and humbling half-marathon, and what it felt like to rally donations for my friend Eddie’s cancer fight. I also talk about the power of giving, how I got unstuck from indecision around generosity, and why saying “yes” when I can has changed my life. Then I dive deep into what so many of you ask me about: fitness confusion. I break down HIIT training, resistance training, and core work—what works, what doesn’t, and why strength training is the number one priority (especially for women over 40). Plus, I give a little update on Miami Beach Boot Camp, my business growth, and some fun things happening in my world. It’s a mix of personal reflection, education, and hopefully, some inspiration to help you make your next big, bodacious shift. The Higher Book Club has chosen The Four Agreements for our April book. Make Good Choices
2025/03/20
It's not the big decisions that change your life as much as it's the tiny ones, day in and day out, that create the life you live. In this episode we discuss how making choices that fit with your life purpose and long term goals removes the emotion from the momentary choices and give you direction. Also - help out my friend Eddy as he fights pancreatic cancer. I'm asking everyone I know to donate just $13.10 to Eddy's GoFundMe to sponsor my half marathon that I'm running for Eddy. You can donate here! Want to retreat with us to Jackson Hole and Yellowstone in August? Details at https://www.miamibeachfitcamp.com/grand-tetons-retreat

I still write my story. Are you writing yours?
