"The Broken Road of Blessedness", Matthew 5:9-12, 11.1.26
2026/11/03
In a fallen world, relationships can often be difficult. And yet Jesus tells us that we can still experience true happiness despite the challenges we face in our relationships. How can we do this? We came to the final two Beatitudes in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:9–12). There we saw that Jesus doesn’t simply tell us to endure as peacemakers and amid persecution, but also shows us that there is true blessing to be found in both.
"Blessed Living", Matthew 5:6-8, 10.25.26
2026/10/27
We live in a culture desperate for authenticity. What does it look like to live out an authentic faith in Christ? This Sunday, we continued in the Beatitudes and explored how truly living for Jesus leads us to experience true flourishing. We were excited to continue our series, “The Sermon on the Mount: Life in the Kingdom,” in Matthew chapters 5–7.
"The Blessedness of Dependency", Matthew 5:1-5, 10.18.26
2026/10/20
What does it take to truly flourish in life? With all the different ideas about where happiness is found, how can we know what will truly deliver? This Sunday, we heard Jesus’ words point us toward how to flourish in the life He has given us. It’s completely countercultural to what we so often hear. We’re excited to begin a new sermon series this week entitled “The Sermon on the Mount: Life in the Kingdom,” covering Matthew chapters 5–7.
"Lord of the Sabbath", Matthew 12:1-21, 10.11.26
2026/10/12
Do you feel like you could use some rest? Where is true rest even found? The kind of rest that leaves us not only physically replenished but also spiritually refreshed. This Sunday we looked at Matthew 12:1–21 and saw how Jesus offers us the spiritual rest we truly long for.
Speaker: Pastor Erik McEntyre from Grace City Church
"A Sweet Song for Bitter Days" Psalm 146, 10.4.2026
2026/10/07
It is common for athletes to give praise to God after experiencing success. Similarly, as Christians, we can often deflect encouraging comments from others by simply saying, “Praise God.” Yet, as we close out our series in the Psalms this week, we will be looking at Psalm 146, where the psalmist shows us that praise is much more than simple platitudes. Instead, it is a whole lifestyle that leads to lasting joy.
Matthew 28:16-20, "What’s So Great About the Great Commission?", 9.27.26
2026/09/28
If you’ve been around church for anytime at all, you’re probably familiar with “The Great Commission” in Matthew 28:16-20. But have you ever wondered what it is that makes it so great? This Sunday for Vision Sunday we looked at this familiar passage and considered “What’s So Great About the Great Commission?”
Psalm 84, "A Heart of Desperation", 9.20.26
2026/09/21
As humans, we are creatures of desire. From our desire for seemingly small things, such as what we want to eat for our next meal, to larger desires concerning how we want our lives to go, our desires guide our actions. This week, we looked at Psalm 84, where we find the psalmist desiring something so strongly that he is desperate for it. But what we see is that he is not simply desperate for a change in his circumstances. Instead, he teaches us that lasting joy comes only from longing for the blessing of being in the Lord’s presence with the Lord’s people.
Psalm 63, "The Pursuit of Satisfaction", 9.13.26
2026/09/15
We all desire to experience deep satisfaction in our souls. In fact, whether we realize it or not, we are constantly in pursuit of it. Where is true satisfaction found, and what does our praise have to do with it? This Sunday as we considered these questions and continued our series in the Psalms, entitled “Psalms: Hearts Tuned by Praise.”
Psalm 48, "Praise From One Generation to Another", 9.6.26
2026/09/07
We seek to pass on to the next generation what is most important to us. As Christians, nothing is more important to us than knowing our God and living a life of worship to Him. This Sunday we continued our series in the Psalms, entitled “Psalms: Hearts Tuned by Praise.” We studied Psalm 48 together, where we find the psalmist declaring the greatness of our God and seeking to pass on this heart of praise to the next generation.
Psalm 34, "The Song that Doesn't End", 8.30.26
2026/09/01
We are excited to begin a short sermon series this week entitled “Psalms: Hearts Tuned by Praise.” Over the next four weeks, we will be looking at how, as Christians, we are to be people whose lives are always full of praise to our God.This week, we kicked things off by looking at Psalm 34 together. In it, we find the psalmist addressing how to keep the troubles we face in life from taking our eyes off God, which can so easily cause our praise to go silent.
Philippians 4:21-23, "Experiencing Joy Together in Christ", 8.23.26
2026/08/25
Often times we put lots of emphasis on getting the final word in a conversation. And yet, can’t it be so easy at times to just read right over the final words at the end of many of the letters in the New Testament? Yet as we finished up our series in Philippians, we came to Paul’s final words in the last 3 verses of this letter, Philippians 4:21-23 and we saw that there is much for us to learn and apply to our own lives in this often overlooked ending.
Philippians 4:14-20, "Gospel Partnership", 8.16.26
2026/08/18
As followers of Christ when the Lord saves us from our sins he also invites us into partnership with one another for the sake of the gospel. Yet to see the gospel advance requires us to live lives of sacrificial generosity. How do we do this? And where do we find the strength we need? This Sunday we studied Philippians 4:14-20 and were encouraged in the gospel partnership we have been called to.
Philippians 4:10-13, "Joyfully Content in Christ", 8.9.26
2026/08/11
Isn’t it so easy to think, ‘If I could just have _____ then I would be happy and content’? We can all seek to fill that _____ with endless things, but isn’t it true that contentment can often be so elusive? This Sunday we looked at Philippians 4:10-13, where Paul tells us the secret to contentment.
Philippians 4:2-9, "The Peace of God", 08.02.26
2026/08/03
We live in a world where peace can be so elusive. Yet through the gospel we can know true peace - peace with God, with one another, and within. This Sunday, we considered Philippians 4:1–9 and how we can experience this peace through Christ as we walk with Him.
Philippians 3:17-4:1, "Living As Citizens of Heaven", 07.26.26
2026/07/28
Can’t it be so easy to find ourselves captivated by the things of this world? Isn’t it easy to spend much of our lives focusing on the joys and disappointments we may experience in this life? This Sunday we looked at Philippians 3:17-4:1 where Paul points us to the importance of fighting this kind of tendency through pursing a heavenly mindset alongside one another.
