Well That Was Frickin' Embarrassing!
2026/10/06
At some point in life, dignity becomes… optional. You sneeze and pee a little. You laugh and pee a little. You trip going UP the stairs. You spend ten minutes looking for the glasses that are sitting on top of your head. And why does nobody tell you when you have spinach in your teeth, your fly is down, there’s toilet paper stuck to your shoe, or a booger has apparently been hanging out of your nose for the last twenty minutes? Seriously. We’re supposed to be friends. In this episode of Sex’n’Fries, Amber is talking about all those completely ordinary, horribly embarrassing moments that make you wonder if you've somehow wandered into a Charlie Chaplin movie. But here's the question: Do we actually care as much anymore? Maybe one of the perks of getting older is that the embarrassment recovery time gets a whole lot shorter. You saw me trip? Great. My dress was tucked into my underwear? Fantastic. I sneezed and had to immediately cross my legs? Welcome to the show. 😂 Listen, laugh, and then tell me YOUR most embarrassing everyday moment—because Well, That Was Frickin’ Embarrassing! might just need a Part Two. Sex’n’Fries — Aging gracefully is definitely not going according to plan. www.sexnfries.com
Is it Still Monday?
2026/10/01
Ever have one of those weeks where every time you think, Okay, surely that's enough crap for one person, life says, “Oh, we're not done yet”? Welcome to mine. It starts with a much-needed sewer line upgrade and somehow spirals into broken high-tech equipment, contractors driving four hours back and forth, pneumonia, enough medication to make me question what day it is, prednisone-fueled organizing at ridiculous hours, a flooded basement, the WRONG frickin' drain hole...and, because apparently we needed a grand finale, a dead mouse in my mop. Just when I'm ready to laugh the whole ridiculous mess off, one phone call changes the mood completely. This episode is about those stretches of life that are funny, frustrating, exhausting and heartbreaking—all at the same time. No inspirational six-step plan. No pretending everything happens for a reason. Just real life, a brand-new mop, and my increasingly modest request for one boring Tuesday. If you've ever had a week that simply refused to end, this one's for you. Love life. Love lipstick. Order the fries. And maybe check your mop. www.sexnfries.com
The Worst Sweet Sixteen Ever
2026/09/10
Episode 37: The Worst Sweet 16 Ever — Movies Lied to Me About Life According to every ’80s movie, turning sixteen was supposed to be magical. 🎂💋 A party. Friends. Cake. A boyfriend. A big moment that somehow proved your teenage life was going exactly according to plan. Mine? Not so much. Two weeks before my 16th birthday, my dad left our family. A week before, my boyfriend and I broke up. On the actual day, my mom was working, my siblings were God knows where, and I spent my Sweet 16 alone—with no party, no cake, and a record player delivered by my ex-boyfriend. High school already sucked. My family was falling apart, I was working to buy my own lunches and clothes, my grades and social life were slipping, and everywhere I looked—movies, television, classmates—it seemed like everyone else had gotten a completely different version of teenage life. So all these years later, I started wondering: Who taught us what our lives were supposed to look like? In Episode 37 of Sex’n’Fries, I look back at the worst Sweet 16 ever and explore how movies, television, social comparison and now social media can quietly create an invisible script for birthdays, relationships, families, success and even happiness. Because maybe entertainment isn't the problem. Maybe the problem starts when we use someone else's highlight reel as proof that we're doing real life wrong. My life never became the movie. Thank God. 🎙️ Sex’n’Fries: Aging Gracefully as a Hot MessStories from the wild side of normal. 💋🍟 www.sexnfries.com Follow me on instagram: @sexnfries
Aging Gracefully Is Not Going According to Plan
2026/09/03
Aging Gracefully Is Not Going According to Plan At what age are we supposed to finally have our shit together? Because apparently, it’s not this one. In this episode of Sex’n’Fries, Amber takes on the ridiculous expectation of “aging gracefully”—when real life looks a lot more like mystery chin hairs, changing bodies, public-bathroom gymnastics, starting over, unexpected fears, and occasionally being hauled out of the water basically naked after falling off a dock. After a terrifying boating accident left Amber bruised, exposed and afraid to get back on the boat, it took three years to work through the panic and start enjoying something she once loved again. Because getting older doesn’t mean we finally become fearless, perfectly confident women who have everything figured out. We’re still messy. We’re still learning. We’re still starting over. We still want to feel hot. We still embarrass ourselves. And yes, sometimes we’re still waiting for the public bathroom hand dryer to turn on so nobody hears what’s happening in stall three. Maybe aging gracefully isn’t about becoming perfect. Maybe it’s about living fully enough to make a mess. Welcome to the wild side of normal. Menopause: A Hot Mess Monologue
2026/08/13
Season 2, Episode 35: Menopause — A Hot Mess Monologue Sex'n'Fries is back for Season 2—and we're kicking things off with hot flashes, brain fog, mood swings, mystery chin hairs, goat boobs, and the brave men trying to understand what the hell is happening. Ms. Amber O. gets raw, funny, pissy, and real about what menopause actually feels like, why explaining it can be almost as frustrating as living it, and what women really need from the people who love them. Plus, a new season means a new Sex'n'Fries: new website, The Fry Club, more real conversations, and a bigger table for all of us aging gracefully as hot messes. Sex. Self. WTF. Real Talk. We laugh. We cry. We carry on. Stay Sexy. 💋🍟 www.sexnfries.com
Why is my body doing that?
2026/03/11
One day you're cruising along, feeling pretty normal. The next day you're sweating for no reason, forgetting why you walked into a room, waking up at 3 a.m., and wondering if your body secretly joined a rebellion without telling you. Welcome to midlife. In this episode of Sex'n'Fries, Amber gets real about hormones, menopause, aging, body changes, and the sometimes ridiculous surprises that seem to arrive after forty. From hot flashes and brain fog to confidence struggles and changing energy levels, nothing is off limits. Because if you've ever stared at your reflection and thought, "What the hell is happening?" you're definitely not alone. 💋 In This Episode:• The unexpected changes nobody warned us about• Menopause, hormones, and midlife body surprises• Why confidence can feel different as we age• Learning to work with your body instead of fighting it• Finding humor in the chaos of getting older• Why this chapter might be your most powerful yet The truth is, your body isn't betraying you. It's changing. And while some days that feels frustrating, confusing, and downright unfair, there's also freedom in learning to embrace the woman you're becoming. Because midlife isn't the end of your story. It's where things start getting really interesting. The Life I Thought I'd Have
2026/02/09
I think most of us have one. This is a strong topic. I'd lean even more into the Sex'n'Fries style—sitting at a bar with a friend, talking about the life that didn't happen without turning it into therapy-speak. The life we thought we'd be living by now. The marriage. The career. The body. The house. The confidence. The version of ourselves we were absolutely certain we'd become. And then life happened. Some dreams changed. Some disappeared. Some turned out to be things we never actually wanted in the first place. In this episode of Sex'n'Fries, Amber talks about the strange grief that comes from looking at your life and realizing it doesn't match the picture you once had in your head. Not because your life is bad. Not because you've failed. Just because it's different. And different can take a little getting used to. 💋 In This Episode:• Mourning the life you thought you'd have• The expectations we carry into adulthood• Why comparison gets more dangerous in midlife• Learning to appreciate the life that's actually in front of you• The freedom that comes from letting old stories go• Finding peace with the roads you didn't take The funny thing is... The older I get, the more I realize the version of me I was chasing probably wouldn't have made me happy anyway. She knew less.Worried more. And had absolutely no idea what was coming. Maybe growing older isn't becoming who you planned to be. Maybe it's becoming who you were always meant to be. Not the perfect version. The real one. The one who survived. The one who's still here. The one who's finally learning that a life doesn't have to look the way you imagined to be worth celebrating. Midlife Isn’t a Crisis — It’s a Wake Up Call
2026/01/08
Nobody warned us about this part. Not the body changes. Not the identity shifts. Not the sudden realization that half your life might already be behind you. And definitely not the moment when you look around and think: "Wait... is this really the life I want?" In this episode of Sex'n'Fries, Amber tackles the biggest lie we've been sold about midlife—that it's a crisis. It's not. It's an awakening. It's the moment you stop living by everyone else's rules and start questioning what actually matters to you. The moment you realize you're tired of shrinking, people-pleasing, pretending, and waiting for someday. Because someday has arrived. 💋 In This Episode:• Why midlife feels uncomfortable—and why that's not a bad thing• The identity shifts nobody prepares us for• Menopause, emotions, relationships, and changing priorities• Letting go of people-pleasing and old expectations• Why your body didn't betray you—it evolved• Learning to choose yourself without guilt• Finding freedom in honesty, boundaries, and self-respect Some people call it a midlife crisis. I call it finally waking up. Waking up to the fact that life is short. Waking up to what you want. Waking up to who you've become. And waking up to the realization that you don't need permission anymore. Not to change. Not to leave. Not to begin again. Not to take up space. Midlife doesn't take your power away. It hands it back. And once you see that, everything changes. Confidence Isn’t Sold in a Bottle — Feel Sexy in Your Own Skin
2025/10/30
If confidence came in a bottle, we'd all be buying it by the case. But here's the annoying truth: Confidence isn't found in a cream, a diet, a makeover, a number on the scale, or the latest miracle product promising to turn back time. It's built. One decision at a time. In this episode of Sex'n'Fries, Amber dives into the messy, hilarious, and often frustrating journey of building genuine confidence in midlife. From body image and self-worth to aging, comparison, and learning to trust yourself, this conversation is about feeling good in your own skin—not someone else's version of who you should be. Because confidence isn't about looking perfect. It's about feeling at home with yourself. 💋 In This Episode:• Why confidence can't be bought, borrowed, or faked• Letting go of unrealistic beauty standards• The relationship between self-worth and self-care• Simple habits that help build confidence from the inside out• Why comparison is confidence's biggest thief• Learning to celebrate yourself exactly as you are The goal isn't to become younger. The goal is to become freer. Freer to laugh.Freer to show up.Freer to wear the outfit.Freer to take the picture.Freer to stop apologizing for taking up space. Because confidence isn't something lucky people are born with. It's something ordinary people decide to practice. And trust me—you've got more of it than you think. 🔥Still Got It — Bedroom Confidence After 40
2025/10/07
Let's clear something up right now. Turning forty, fifty, or sixty doesn't make you less sexy. It just means you've spent enough years figuring out who you are—and that confidence is incredibly attractive. In this episode of Sex'n'Fries, Amber dives into body confidence, intimacy, desire, and the myths that tell us our best years are somehow behind us. From changing bodies and menopause to communication, self-image, and embracing pleasure without apology, this conversation is about owning your sexy at every age. Because confidence doesn't retire. And neither should desire. 💋 In This Episode:• Why confidence is the most attractive thing you can wear• Navigating body changes without losing your spark• How menopause can change intimacy—and why that's okay• The power of communication in long-term relationships• Letting go of unrealistic expectations and comparisons• Redefining sexy on your own terms The truth is, sexy has very little to do with age. It's about confidence.Connection.Comfort in your own skin. And showing up as the fullest version of yourself. Because the most attractive people in the room usually aren't the youngest. They're the ones who know exactly who they are. I Thought I'd Have My Crap Together By Now
2025/10/02
Remember when you thought adulthood came with a manual? Yeah... me too. In this episode of Sex'n'Fries, Amber dives headfirst into the beautiful disaster that is midlife. Between hormones, responsibilities, unexpected plot twists, changing bodies, family drama, forgotten passwords, and wondering why you walked into a room, it's a miracle any of us are functioning at all. And yet somehow, here we are. Still standing.Still laughing.Still figuring it out. 💋 In This Episode:• Letting go of the fantasy that everyone else has life figured out• Finding peace in the middle of everyday chaos• Why perfection is wildly overrated• Small rituals that help when life feels overwhelming• Using humor as a survival skill• Learning to appreciate the messy, imperfect beauty of real life The truth is, most of us aren't failing at adulthood. We're just living it. Some days you'll meditate. Some days you'll eat fries in your car hiding from everyone. Both count as self-care. Because peace isn't found when life becomes perfect. It's found when you stop expecting it to be. Looking Good for My Damn Self
2025/06/23
Who exactly are we dressing for? Because somewhere along the way, a lot of us started believing that fashion had an expiration date. Certain clothes were "too young." Certain styles were "inappropriate." And apparently, once you hit midlife, you're supposed to quietly disappear into sensible cardigans and beige. Yeah... no. In this episode of Sex'n'Fries, Amber talks fashion, confidence, self-expression, and why getting dressed can be one of the most powerful acts of self-love. From leopard prints and red lipstick to vintage finds and statement pieces, this conversation isn't about trends—it's about wearing what makes you feel alive. Because confidence isn't found in your closet. But sometimes your favorite outfit helps you remember it's already there. 💋 In This Episode:• Who we're really dressing for as we get older• Breaking the ridiculous rules around age and fashion• How personal style affects confidence and self-image• Why comfort and sexy are allowed to coexist• Finding joy in self-expression through clothing• Building a wardrobe that reflects who you are now You don't become invisible after fifty. You become interesting. You become experienced. You become the woman who knows what she likes and stops asking permission. So wear the boots. Buy the jacket. Rock the lipstick. And stop saving your favorite outfit for a special occasion. You are the occasion. 💋Self-Expression: My New Small Obsession
2025/01/09
Lately, I've become a little obsessed with something. Not shoes. Not skincare. Not another hobby I'll probably convince myself I need. Self-expression. Because somewhere along the way, many of us learned how to fit in, stay quiet, avoid judgment, and become versions of ourselves that felt acceptable to everyone else. The problem is, after enough years of doing that, you can lose sight of who you actually are. In this episode of Sex'n'Fries, Amber explores the freedom, fear, and fun of expressing yourself honestly. From personal style and creative pursuits to speaking your truth and embracing your quirks, this conversation is about showing up as yourself—even when it's uncomfortable. Especially when it's uncomfortable. 💋 In This Episode:• Why self-expression becomes more important as we age• The difference between authenticity and approval-seeking• Letting go of other people's expectations• Finding confidence in your own voice• The courage to be seen as you truly are• Why the things that make you different often make you memorable Self-expression isn't about being loud. It's about being honest. It's wearing the outfit.Saying the thing.Trying the hobby.Dancing in the kitchen.Creating something that feels like you. Because the goal isn't perfection. The goal is alignment. And life gets a whole lot more interesting when you stop performing and start expressing. 🧩Finding the Pieces: A Journey I Didn’t Know I Was On
2024/10/08
Sometimes life falls apart quietly. Not all at once. Not dramatically. Just piece by piece, until one day you look around and realize you're no longer the same person you used to be. In this deeply personal episode of Sex'n'Fries, Amber reflects on grief, healing, identity, and the unexpected journey of finding herself again after loss. Through family memories, life lessons, and moments of quiet reflection, she explores how the hardest seasons often reveal strengths, dreams, and parts of ourselves we forgot existed. Because sometimes losing something important helps you discover something equally important. You. 💋 In This Episode:• How grief changes the way we see ourselves and our lives• Finding meaning in life's most difficult chapters• The memories that continue shaping us long after loss• Rediscovering forgotten dreams and hidden strengths• Why healing isn't a straight line• Learning to trust the person you're becoming The truth is, healing doesn't always look like moving on. Sometimes it looks like gathering the scattered pieces and realizing they still belong to you. Sometimes it looks like remembering that you were never truly broken. Just becoming. Because grief doesn't only teach us what we've lost. It teaches us what remains. And sometimes, that's where the real journey begins. 🤗The Caregiver Archetype: The Beauty and Burnout of Putting Others First.
2024/07/17
Some people naturally take care of everyone around them. They remember birthdays. They check in when you're struggling. They carry extra weight so others don't have to. And somewhere along the way, they often forget to take care of themselves. In this episode of Sex'n'Fries, Amber explores the Caregiver Archetype—the nurturers, fixers, supporters, and helpers who pour love into the world while quietly running on empty. Through personal stories and honest reflection, she unpacks the gifts, challenges, and emotional toll that can come from always being the strong one. Because caring for others is beautiful. Losing yourself in the process isn't. 💋 In This Episode:• The strengths and struggles of the Caregiver Archetype• Why helpers often have a hard time asking for help• Recognizing the warning signs of burnout and resentment• Setting boundaries without guilt• Learning to receive as much as you give• Why self-care is not selfish—it's necessary You don't have to earn your worth by exhausting yourself. You don't have to carry everyone's problems. And you don't have to set yourself on fire to keep other people warm. The most sustainable kind of love includes you, too. Because when your cup is full, your compassion flows from abundance—not exhaustion.
