What's Love got to do with it? - 1 John 4:7-12
2025/12/23
God’s love is not a vague feeling we chase, but a divine reality that has a clear source, a clear sending, and a clear evidence—because love comes from God, love was delivered to us in Jesus, and love is displayed through believers. In 1 John 4:7–12, John confronts our weariness and skepticism about love and points us to the only love that can heal what life has hardened: the love that saved us becomes the love we show, so that an unseen God is made visible through a seen people.
My Joy Ain't Goin' Nowhere! - John 16:20-24
2025/12/16
In this message from John 16:20–24, preached during Advent Joy and on our church anniversary, Pastor Matt proclaims that Christian joy is not fragile or circumstantial but rooted in Christ and secured through His death, resurrection, and ongoing presence with His people. Even in seasons of sorrow, change, and uncertainty, this sermon reminds us that obedience to the Lord anchors us in a joy that suffering cannot steal and the world cannot take away—because our Savior isn’t going anywhere, and neither is our joy.
Peace has Arrived - Ephesians 2:14-18
2025/12/11
In this Advent message from Ephesians 2, Pastor Matt proclaims that peace is not a feeling we try to create, but a Person—Jesus Christ—who tears down walls, reconciles us to God, and unites us as one new people. Because peace has been purchased through the cross and proclaimed to those far and near, we can live with confidence that true peace has already arrived in Him.
Thankful Through it All - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
2025/12/11
In this message, Pastor Matt reminds us that even in seasons of pressure, pain, and uncertainty, God calls us to rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances. Rooted in 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18, we learn that gratitude, joy, and prayer are not responses to perfect conditions but the posture of a people strengthened by Christ’s presence.
Unleavened Living - 1 Corinthians 5:6-8
2025/12/11
In this message, Pastor Matt teaches that just as a little leaven spreads through the whole lump, sin left unaddressed spreads through the whole church — but in Christ, our Passover Lamb, we’ve been cleansed and called to live as a new, unleavened people. Because of His sacrifice, we remove what contaminates, embrace our true identity, and celebrate the life of sincerity and truth God has made possible for us.
Coming Soon - 2 Peter 3
2025/12/11
In this message from 2 Peter 3, Pastor Matt Alexander reminds us that Christ’s return is certain, and God’s patience is grace calling us to repentance. We are challenged to remember God’s promises, remain grounded in truth, and live ready for the day of the Lord.
Wake Up! - Isaiah 52:1-6
2025/12/11
In this passage, God calls His people to rise from spiritual slumber — to shake off what’s been holding them, to remove the old garments of defeat, and to stand in the strength He provides. Even in captivity, God reminds them that they still belong to Him, and He is ready to restore and renew.
If you’ve felt weary, stuck, or weighed down, this word is God’s invitation to awaken to His presence, His power, and His promise.
This is Who We Are - Acts 2:42-27
2025/11/20
In this sermon, Pastor Matt unpacks Acts 2:42–47 as God’s blueprint for a Gospel church — a community marked by devotion, discernment, and dependency. He explores how the early believers devoted themselves to the Word, fellowship, meals, and prayer; how they exercised Spirit-led discernment by meeting needs generously; and how they lived in daily dependence on God and one another. Connecting this to our Article of Faith, Pastor Matt calls the church to embody this same Gospel-shaped life today — a people who grow in Christ, serve their community, and trust the Lord to add to His church.
The Just Shall Live by Faith - Romans 3:20-26
2025/11/20
Pastor Matt explains why the Law reveals our brokenness while the Gospel reveals God’s remedy, showing how Christ perfectly satisfies God’s justice and becomes the justifier of all who believe. This message calls us to rest in one truth: we are covered by the blood of Jesus.
Endure to the End - 1 Peter 1:3-9
2025/11/20
In this sermon on 1 Peter 1:3–9, Pastor Matthew L. Alexander explores the doctrine of the Perseverance of the Saints and the living hope believers possess in Christ. Through powerful biblical exposition and the inspiring story of Wilma Rudolph, he shows how God guards, sustains, and strengthens His children through every trial. This message reminds us that our endurance is anchored in new birth, kept by God’s power, purified through trials, and filled with inexpressible joy as we await the salvation of our souls.
Friendship of the Father - Exodus 33:1-11
2025/11/20
In this sermon from Exodus 33:1–11, Pastor Matthew L. Alexander explores God’s deep desire for friendship with His people. Even after Israel’s rebellion, God continues to provide, protect, and draw near—revealing a divine friendship marked by providence, protection, and holy proximity. Through Moses’ intimate encounters with God “face to face,” Pastor Matt invites listeners to consider how God delights in being known, how He intercedes on our behalf, and how His nearness transforms us. This message calls us to respond to God’s invitation with honesty, humility, and awe, embracing the life-changing reality that the Lord desires to be our friend.
