How Social Media Is Ruining Your Life: Stolen Time
2026/04/20
What's the number one reason why we don't accomplish the things we set out to do? Time.  We don't have time to launch the business, plan the dream vacation, learn the new skill, kickstart the home project... Nothing.   So, instead we throw up out hands in frustration and pull out our phones to scroll social meda. We're so busy trying to decompress and zone out using our screens, we fail to recognize the device in our hands is the very eason we don't have time to do what we want.  Let me put is this way... social media is stealing all of your time. And you don't even know it. In this episode, we'll take a look at how much of our lives we are wasting with the endless scroll. We'll also talk about why time in and of itself feels so distorted. And, most importantly, we'll identify a few easy ways to fix our scrolling time suck.  Let's dive in!
Rest In a Hustle World: How to Do Nothing on Purpose
2026/04/13
These days, there are numerous things that are pulling at you and vying for your attention. Work, family, social media, carpool, deadlines, health... It's overwhelming! Your body is craving rest; physically, mentally and emotionally.  But rather than intentionally putting together a time to exhale, our default setting is to "zone out" with a show or a scroll. Y'all, that's not helping either.  We have to get serious about how we're recharging our batteries otherwise we will fall apart. Just like the saying goes about technology, "almost everything works better if you simply unplug it for a bit." The same is true with us! So how do we get intentional with our personal unplug?  Thankfully, Jesus gives us rest. In fact, He commands it. Remember the Sabbath? Yep, it's a day of rest that He has told us to remember, but keep holy. I've been attempting to do my own Sabbath for the last four weeks. In this episode, I'll share some of the things I've learned about incoporating a day of rest - both the pros and cons.  Ready to take a breather with me? Hit that play button.
A Cultivated Life: Tending the Garden for Consistent Growth
2026/04/06
The last few weeks, we've looked at our lives like a beautiful garden. As any gardener knows, in order for things to grow and flourish, you have to tend to it consistently. The same is true for your life. If you're not consistently showing up for the people, goals or habits that are important to you, chances are they're going to die. This begs the question, how do I become consistent with what really matters to me? The short answer is by building a system that works for you. No longer can we rely on inspiration or motivation to get us to care for our gardens, a.k.a our lives.  In order to build a successful system, we need three things: engagement, education and efficiency. We'll explore each of those in this episode.  Ready for it? Hit play!
A Cultivated Life: Sowing Seeds for Your Vision
2026/03/30
Part of cultivating a beautiful life is planting the right seeds for your vision. Just like in a garden, you have to be strategic about the things you are putting in the ground.  Knowing what works and what doesnt work when it comes to establishing good habits, understanding how to be disciplined in your process, and adjusting your environment are just a few of the ways we can insure a bountiful harvest.  In this episode, we'll talk about resurrecting those failed resolutions and even set some new ones. We'll compare sowing the seeds of progress in our lives to that of planting in an actual garden, which is arguably one of the most exciting and hopeful moments of they gardening process.  The spring season lends itself to optimism, so if some of your resolutions have failed this year, it's time to take them off the shelf and try again. You might just discover that those goals are less dead than you thought. After all, everything around us is exploding with new life. Who says your dreams can't do the same. Lean in to what this time of year has to offer and press that play button.
Closing the App: How a Two-Week Social Media Cleanse Changed My Life
2026/03/23
These days it's hard to find anyone who isn't on social media. I mean, those people definitely exist, but they are rare and exotic beings.  This month, I took a swing at being one of those people for nearly two weeks.  That's right. For 13 days I didn't open a single social media app on any of my devices. No Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube... nothing! Zilch! Nada! And you know what happend? Nothing... And EVERYTHING at the same time.  In this episode we'll dive into the notes from my experience and why I've now made it my mission to disconnect on a regular basis. We'll also chat about why I believe swiping out of these apps is something God is calling us to do.  Ready to dive in? Let's get it!
A Cultivated Life: Pruning the Good for Greater Growth
2026/03/16
You've heard the phrase, too much of a good thing is a bad thing. Well, the same is true for gardening.  Too much fertilizer can actually harm the plants and overgrown plants can suffocate young, undergrowth on the same plant, blocking it from getting the nutrients it needs. If our life is a garden, there are certainly some things that have overgrown and, quite frankly, have overstayed their welcome. We need to cognizant of those areas of our lives that are good, but could also hinder our growth if we fail to put them in their proper place.  In this episode we'll identify overindulgences, excessive habits and emotional rollercoasters that could be stifling our pursuit of the life we want to live.  Grab your shears and let's get pruning!
A Cultivated Life: Weeding Out What Holds Us Back
2026/03/09
You've heard it said before, preparation is the key to success. Well, the same is true for a garden. If you want to have a flourishing, vibrant garden, you've got to put in the work from the very beginning. Pulling the weeds, cutting out the dead plants, tilling the soil and laying down a fresh layer of mulch. The same rings true for your life.  In order to cultivate a life that feels full and thriving, you have to put in some work preparing for that to happen.  In other words, you have to get rid of the things that are holding you back and the things that are just dead.  In this series, we'll identify some aspects of your life that could be holding you back from living the life you really want. Habits, relationships, negative thinking... All of these are inhibiting your dreams and staring your ambitions. Ready to tend to the garden? Roll up your sleeves and let's get to it!
Be Careful Where You Let Your Mind Live
2026/03/02
Have you ever stopped to consider just how powerful your mind is? Right now, you're reading these words while listening to this episode and at the same time you might be getting some steps in at the gym while making a mental to-do list in your mind for the week.  You brain is capable of handling multiple actions, emotions, memories and more - all at the same time.  This is why it matters what you choose to think about. Where you allow your mind to live is a huge factor in determining your quality of life. As someone who has dealt with depression and anxiety, and who still finds a way to ruminate on negative thoughts more than she'd like to admit, I decided that I'm done being stuck in the spiral. So I sat on my porch, determined to rid myself of these lies. Pen in hand a notepad in front of me, I began to write down all of the lies I have allowed myself to believe. What happened next, truly shocked me.  Hit that play button and I'll tell you more.
Curate Your Space, Create Your Dreams
2026/02/23
I don't subscribe to the idea of being victim of your environment. I think it severely limits what you think you can do with your life, but more importantly, what you believe God can do with your life.  Sure, our environment has a big impact on us, but it doesn't have to be the thing that keeps us from our calling. In fact, we can build a space around us that ultimately becomes the catalyst for achieving our biggest dreams. See, the space you do your best work in has to hold the energy you need to be successful. And the cool part is you can create that space for yourself.  It's one of the biggest cheat codes to sticking to the goals your have set.  In this episode we'll discuss three ways to build an environment that is both motivating and inspiring. Trust me, it doesn't take much.  We'll also dive into the one environment you've been spending way too much time in that is holding you back from moving forward.  Let's get to it!
Your Lack of Focus Is Killing Your Progress - Let's Fix It!
2026/02/16
If you want to achieve anything in life, you've got to get focused. It sounds so obvious, like DUH... but these days the distractions are on a whole new level.  Everyday, there are about a million things pulling at you; shouting "look over here", "pay attention to me." Kids, your boss, the news, social media, etc. This makes it extremely difficult to buckle down and get to work on any new goal that you've set for yourself. Especially if your goal is to limit those distractions in the first place. In this episode we'll dive into how to adjust your focus to help you make real progress on a daily basis. We'll analyze what it means to cultivate focus focus and what it looks like in practice.  And it all starts with one simple adjustment.  Ready to dive in?

Your Goals Don't Matter, Unless You Do This
2026/02/02
If you've been with us through the first month of 2026, you know we've been doing a lot of work setting up our goals for the year.  We've looked deep within ourselves to better understand what really matters to us. We've identified habits and tendencies that both serve us and swerve us when it comes to chasing our dreams.  We even embraced audacity and allowed ourselves to really go there with what we want in life. And finally, we set three specific things to chase this year.  You're probably feeling the most like yourself than you have in awhile and you might be revving up the engine of motivation.  So, what are you waiting for? None of the work we've done matters unless you take action. NOW! In this episode we'll talk about why inaction is not a guarantee for safety, why your inner self is begging for growth and how taking on a "Plant + Tend" mindset is key to unlocking your full potential.  It's time you stop underestimating yourself. Press play now.
The Big 3: How to Set Realistic Goals Without Feeling Overwhelmed
2026/01/26
Who says you have to set goals on January 1st? We're setting ours today! If you've been with us the last three weeks, you've done some great inner work. You've gotten clear on your God-given identity You've looked yourself in the mirror and discovered who you have been shaped into over the years You've allowed yourself to explore your biggest dreams and deepest desires Now, it's time to get clear on what we're actually chasing this year.  This week, we're identifying the things that matter the most to us as we walk through 2026. We'll take our wild and crazy dreams and we'll sort them into three categories: Personal, Professional and Passion.  Once we divide up our ambitions, we will select just one goal from each category. It might be one that jumps off the page at us or it could be one that sums up what we're looking to accomplish collectively in that category.  This process of organization and elimination will help us cut through the fluff of resolutions. From here we will know that the goals we're pursuing this year are: in alignment with who we are at our core are actually meaningful to us and not just what we think we should be doing are moving us closer to the person we want to be and the things we want to accomplish Ready to get crackin'? Hit that play button
Give Yourself Permission to Dream Big for Y-O-U
2026/01/19
If you have set resolutions for 2026, let me ask you something. Did you set resolutions for yourself? Or is it possible that you set resolutions that maybe sounded good because other people around you were setting them. If you find yourself leaning more toward the latter, that's okay.  It's so easy to be swayed or influenced this time of year. We're hot off of a busy, chaotic holiday season and maybe we didn't have the time we needed to sit down and think about what we actually want this new year.  For most of us, we just know we want better this year than last.  And perhaps during this third week of 2026, you're feeling hopeless, confused and beyond delayed in creating better for yourself.  Stop. Take a breath.  Let's start fresh and let's get messy. After the work we've done so far this year in getting clear on our identity and meeting ourselves where we're at, this should be the fun part.  In this episode, we'll talk about the importance of dreaming big for ourselves and harnessing the power of giving ourselves permission to do so.  Get a notepad and a pen and let's get to work.
The One Person You Should Meet Before Kickstarting Your Resolutions
2026/01/12
New year, new you? Um, not so fast.  If I was a betting woman, I'd be willing to throw money on the fact that you did not wake up a brand new person on Jan. 1 of this year. In fact, you probably didn't wake up as the person you used to be either. No, you woke up as the same person that you were on Dec. 31. When your eyes opened, you were the same old you with the same old habits carrying the same old baggage and using the same old excuses. It's not a dig at you... it's just a fact. And it's the same for all of us. See, as much as we want to start the new year off being all shiny, perfect and new, the truth is you didn't change overnight. The sooner we can accept that and meet ourselves where we're at, the sooner we can start crushing those goals.  Similar to last week when we talked about really getting to know who we are at our core, understanding the person you've become is crucial to setting yourself up for success in achieving your resolutions. In this episode we'll talk about why we have become the people we see in in the mirror these days and how that affects our ability to keep our promises to ourselves. We'll also chat about how getting under the hood is one of the best things we can do for ourselves in the new year. And the sooner we do it, the more successful we'll be. Trust me, this is gonna be good!
