Exodus 28 (Lake Travis)
2026/09/29
We explore the significance of the priestly garments in Exodus 28 and the responsibility we have as a royal priesthood to represent God. Join us as we reflect on the need for authentic, Christ-centered devotion that goes beyond the surface and impacts our daily lives.
Exodus 28 (Johnson City)
2026/09/29
God chooses his priesthood and then instructs how they should dress, “for glory and for beauty” (28:2). How interesting that God goes through so much effort to instruct what the priests should wear. But why?
Exodus 27:1-21 (Lake Travis)
2026/09/22
Join us as we explore how the Tabernacle in Exodus 27 serves as a profound gospel picture, pointing us toward the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus. Discover how this ancient design reveals God's plan for redemption and how the oil of the Holy Spirit empowers us to know Christ and make Him known today.
An Acts Type Church (Johnson City)
2026/09/21
This Sunday at Johnson City, we’re excited to be joined by Dale and Angela Marthick from Sydney, Australia. In his sermon, Dale unpacks what it means to be a church we see in the book of Acts. Dale and Angela serve on the NCMI team and led Living Hope Church in Sydney for 14 years. They have regularly visited Hope Rock and have been such a blessing, giving unique insight to our leadership and our church.

Exodus 27:1-21 (Johnson City)

This Sunday at Johnson City, we covered the altar, the courtyard, and the lamp in the tabernacle. Yes - more internal decorating! But as we saw last week, there’s far more going on here than meets the eye!
Exodus 26:1-37 (Lake Travis)

We look at “curtains and coverings” for the tabernacle. It seems odd to cover these portions of scripture. Most of the time when reading them, we may even skip right over them, because who wants to hear about internal decorating for a tent from thousands of years ago?But nothing in the Bible is irrelevant.

“You shall set the bread of the Presence on the table before me regularly.” (vs 30)These instructions about bread, and following instructions about a golden lampstand, must have seemed strange to Moses and Israel, and can seem strange even to us today—until we see how much they point to Christ!

Knowing Jesus - a revelation of Him - is foundational and absolutely fundamental. Plus, we send off Kyle and Christine Pribilski as they head to South Dakota to plant! Our first church plant - very exciting!

God now begins to give instructions for the building of the tabernacle—and there is an incredible amount of imagery that points to the gospel of Jesus!
Exodus 24 (Lake Travis)

“… and they saw the God of Israel.” Imagine this. The Bible’s descriptions of God in this scripture are, in a sense, frustrating, as they don’t describe much. Fire, feet, and a “pavement of sapphire stone”. Yet, it may be saying more than we realize.

A fascinating portion of scripture as God promises the Israelites that he will send an angel to them who will bring them into the place He has prepared for them. And he promises to drive out the Canaanites “little by little”. But at the same time, he warns them again: do not bow before the Canaanite gods and carry out their practices. How does this relate to our call and our own exodus?
