When You Want to Let Go, But Just Can't Let Go
2026/10/20
Why is it so hard to let go of someone, even when you know it's time to move on? What if the harder you try to force yourself to let go, the more attached you become? In this solo episode, I explore why we stay emotionally attached to past relationships, replay old memories and struggle to move forward after heartbreak. The desire for closure, fear of the unknown and the stories we tell ourselves can keep us caught between the past and a future we haven't yet discovered. But what if the answer isn't to let go, but to let it be? I'll share how shifting from control to acceptance, tending to the wounded parts of yourself and allowing your emotions to be fully felt can help you reconnect with your inner wisdom. Rather than looking to your ex for closure or another relationship for fulfillment, this is an opportunity to come home to yourself and create a life that feels expansive, meaningful and deeply aligned with who you truly are. In This Episode We Explore: Why forcing yourself to let go can strengthen emotional attachmentThe powerful difference between letting go and letting it beHow fear and fantasy keep you attached to past relationshipsThe role of your wounded inner child and mind's saboteur in heartbreakWhy closure doesn't have to come from your exHow allowing yourself to feel your emotions can support healingThe importance of presence and reconnecting with your inner compassWhy envisioning your ideal life matters more than finding your next relationship Your Practice for This Week: Notice when you're trying to force yourself to move on or replaying stories about your ex. Instead of fighting those feelings, give yourself space to experience what's underneath them. Then ask yourself: How do I want my life to feel, with or without a relationship? Begin making small choices that reflect that vision rather than waiting for someone else to bring you happiness.] Starting Over Weekend - October 23-25th (8-10am pacific daily) A weekend of deep connection, inspiration - and an opportunity to rewrite your story as you navigate this significant change in your life. 3 Truths that Will Change How You Navigate Breakup & Divorce
2026/10/13
What if your breakup or divorce isn't a failure, but an opportunity to rediscover who you truly are? We've been conditioned to believe that love should last forever and that the end of a relationship means something went wrong. But what if every relationship serves a purpose, regardless of how long it lasts? In this solo episode, I explore how outdated beliefs about love, childhood patterns and the stories we tell ourselves can make heartbreak even more painful. When we stay attached to blame, resentment and other people's expectations, we lose sight of the opportunity for growth. I'll share three truths that can help you navigate breakup and divorce differently, release the stories keeping you stuck and reconnect with your own inner wisdom. This ending doesn't have to define you. It can become the beginning of a more empowered, authentic chapter of your life. In This Episode We Explore:How fairy-tale conditioning shapes our expectations of loveWhy a relationship ending doesn't mean it failedThe connection between childhood patterns and relationship strugglesHow blame and resentment keep heartbreak aliveWhy taking ownership of your patterns changes your experienceThe influence your response to divorce can have on your childrenWhy other people's opinions shouldn't determine your next stepsWhat becomes possible when you stop filling the emptiness and turn inward 3 Truths That Will Change How You Navigate Breakup & DivorceStop Feeding the Story - Release blame and resentment, and allow yourself to feel what's underneath the pain.Other People's Opinions Are Not Your Truth - Let go of outside expectations and trust your own inner wisdom.Go Into the Void Rather Than Fill It - Instead of escaping the emptiness, use it to reconnect with yourself and grow. 3 Keys To Overcome Resentment Towards Your Ex
2026/10/06
What if holding onto resentment toward your ex is keeping you connected to the very relationship you’re trying to move beyond? In this solo episode, I explore three keys to overcoming resentment and why releasing it doesn’t mean denying what happened, excusing someone else’s behavior or pretending you weren’t deeply hurt. Resentment can feel powerful because it allows us to hold onto the story of who was right, who was wrong and how things should have happened differently. But every time you feed that story, you continue carrying the pain forward with you. Moving beyond resentment requires something different. It asks you to recognize what holding onto the story is costing you, take ownership of your part in the relationship and give yourself permission to actually feel what’s underneath the anger. From there, you can begin to see what the experience revealed about your patterns, your inner compass and the woman you are becoming. This isn’t about blaming yourself for what happened. It’s about reclaiming the power to decide what you carry forward and becoming available for the love, freedom and relationships you truly desire. In This Episode We Explore: Why resentment can keep you emotionally connected to your ex long after the relationship endsHow repeatedly talking about what your ex did can keep the story and pain aliveThe relationship between resentment, blame and the need to be rightHow unresolved pain from earlier experiences can influence the partners and relationship dynamics you chooseWhy taking ownership of your patterns is different from blaming yourselfHow listening to your body and inner compass can change the way you navigate relationshipsWhat resentment can cost you when you’re trying to trust and receive love againHow healing your side of the dynamic can change the way you relate to an ex, especially when you’re co-parenting Your Practice for This Week: Pay attention to how often you feed the story about your ex. Notice the conversations where you revisit what happened, what they did wrong or why you were justified in feeling the way you do. When the story arises, give yourself permission to move underneath it and feel what is actually there. Let yourself experience the anger, grief, betrayal or heartbreak without needing your ex to resolve it for you. Then ask yourself: What was my part in this dynamic? What patterns was I living from? Where did I ignore my own inner knowing? And when you are truly ready, ask one more question: What did this experience give me the opportunity to learn about myself? You cannot change what happened, but you can change what you carry forward. Starting Over Weekend - October 23-25th (8-10am pacific daily) A weekend of deep connection, inspiration - and an opportunity to rewrite your story as you navigate this significant change in your life. The Truth About Boundaries - And What You Need to Know to Transform Your Relationships
2026/09/29
What if the boundaries you’ve been taught to set are actually keeping you focused on other people instead of rooted in your own truth? In this solo episode, I explore a different perspective on boundaries, relationships and what it means to live from sovereignty. We’re often taught that strong boundaries are essential for protecting ourselves, especially when someone else’s behavior feels hurtful, triggering or out of alignment with what we want. But when boundaries become walls, blame or an attempt to control how another person behaves, they can keep us locked into the very dynamics we’re trying to escape. This conversation is an invitation to shift your attention away from who is wrong and come back to your own inner compass. I explore what changes when you take responsibility for your part in a relational dynamic, listen to what your body is telling you and learn to communicate your truth with clarity, love and conviction. Because you don’t need to fight for your truth. You need to know it, trust it and be willing to live it. In This Episode We Explore: Why boundaries can sometimes become another form of protectionThe difference between building walls and standing in your sovereigntyHow blame and righteousness can keep you stuck in painful relationship patternsWhy the people who trigger you may reveal something important about your own patternsWhat changes when you stop trying to control other people’s behaviorHow to recognize your part in a difficult relational dynamicWhy your truth becomes more powerful when it is free from blame, proving and justificationHow to communicate a clear no while remaining rooted in loveWhat can happen in your relationships when you change the way you participate in the dynamic Your Practice for This Week: Notice where you’re focused on someone else’s behavior and asking them to change so that you can feel better, safer or more at peace. Before deciding what they need to do differently, turn your attention inward. Ask yourself: What is this situation showing me? What is my part in this dynamic? Where have I abandoned my own truth, ignored my inner knowing or given my power away? Give the hurt, angry or protective part of you space to be heard without asking another person to resolve it for you. Then come back to the deeper question: What is my unwavering truth? From there, practice communicating it simply, clearly and lovingly. When You Feel Lonely In Your Relationship, But Are Afraid To Leave And Be Alone
2026/09/22
What if the loneliness you feel is not about your relationship status, but about how disconnected you have become from yourself? In this solo episode, I explore why women can feel profoundly lonely whether they are married, partnered or single. We often believe another person will rescue us from loneliness, yet even the most loving relationship cannot create the connection we are unwilling or unable to build within ourselves. I share how conditioning, fear and the voice of your saboteur can keep you trapped in your mind and disconnected from your body, intuition and soul. I also explore the importance of community, the isolation created by modern Western life and why being alone is not the same as feeling alone. This conversation is an invitation to stop asking whether you should stay or go long enough to come home to yourself. When you reconnect with your own truth, you become better able to recognize whether your relationship can rise with you or whether it has reached its natural completion. In This Episode We Explore: Why loneliness can exist inside even a loving relationshipThe difference between being alone and feeling aloneHow disconnection from your soul creates an internal acheWhy another person cannot make you feel truly connectedHow your saboteur keeps you trapped in fear and familiar patternsThe role community, nature and meaningful connection play in well-beingWhy you must reconnect with yourself before deciding whether to stay or leaveHow following your inner compass builds self-trust and sovereignty Your Practice for This Week: Notice when loneliness appears and resist the urge to immediately make it mean something about your relationship status. Instead, become curious about where you may have abandoned yourself. Are you ignoring something that lights you up? Are you allowing fear, obligation or other people’s expectations to make your choices? Are you waiting for someone else to give you the connection, adventure or permission you deeply desire? Choose one small action that brings you back into your body and your life. Spend time in nature, connect with someone in your community, take a class, move your body or follow a curiosity simply because it feels true. You do not need to make an immediate decision about your relationship. Come home to yourself first. From there, your next step will become clearer. The Truth About Self Love
2026/09/08
What if self-love isn’t something you need to learn, but something you need to remember? In this solo episode, I explore why so many women struggle to love themselves, even after years of affirmations, healing work and personal development. We’re taught from an early age that love has to be earned by being good, performing, achieving, looking a certain way or being chosen. Over time, that conditioning can disconnect you from the truth of who you are and leave you searching outside yourself for love, worthiness and enoughness. This conversation is about coming back home to yourself, learning to recognize when your saboteur is leading, and building a relationship with the inner compass that already knows the way. In This Episode We Explore: Why self-love can feel so difficultHow we learn to associate love with performanceThe difference between seeking love and living from loveWhy external validation is never enoughHow honoring your yeses and noes builds self-trustWhat it means to become a loving observer of yourselfHow your inner compass brings you back home Your Practice for This Week: Become curious about what part of you is making your choices. When you notice yourself judging, punishing, comparing or abandoning yourself, pause instead of adding another layer of criticism. How to Know What You Truly Desire
2026/09/01
What if some of the things you’re chasing aren’t actually what you desire? In this solo episode, I explore how to tell the difference between desires that come from your truth and the ones shaped by conditioning, comparison and the life you think you’re supposed to want. So many of us follow timelines, milestones and external expectations while believing the voice in our head is who we are. But your deepest desires aren’t found in your thoughts. They’re felt through your body. This conversation is an invitation to stop looking outside yourself for answers and start paying attention to what feels resonant, pleasurable and true. In This Episode We Explore: How to recognize conditioned desire versus true desireWhy comparison disconnects you from your own pathWhat it means to become a researcher of your own pleasureThe difference between pleasure and thrill seekingHow your body communicates through sensation and resonanceWhy presence strengthens your internal compassWhat happens when you stop trying to plan your entire life Your Practice for This Week: Notice where the word “should” is showing up in your life. Instead of asking what your future is supposed to look like, pay attention to what feels good, expansive and resonant right now. Notice what lights you up. Notice what creates discord. Create more space to breathe, move, meditate and simply be. You don’t need to know the whole path. Start by following what feels like a true yes. How To Manifest A Life That Feels As Good As It Looks with Leah Brathwaite
2026/08/25
What if the life you’ve been trying so hard to manifest isn’t actually the life your soul wants for you? Kate welcomes soul advisor and manifestation teacher Leah Brathwaite back to The New Truth for a conversation about creating a life that feels as good as it looks. Together, they explore the difference between manifesting from fear, conditioning and control versus allowing your soul and intuition to lead. Leah shares how building the picture-perfect life ultimately left her disconnected from herself, and what changed when she stopped forcing outcomes and began trusting what felt true. They also unpack surrender, detachment and why embodying the feelings behind your desires may be more powerful than chasing the external result. This conversation is an invitation to release the script, trust yourself more deeply and leave room for life to surprise you. In This Episode We Explore: Manifesting from your survival self versus your soulWhy getting what you want may still leave you unfulfilledHow to recognize the way your intuition speaks to youThe connection between control, attachment and lackWhy the feelings beneath your desires matterBecoming an energetic match for what you wantLetting go of old identities as you expandAllowing life to unfold beyond what you planned Your Practice for This Week: Notice where you’re trying to force or control an outcome. Ask yourself what you believe having it will allow you to feel, then find one way to embody more of that feeling now. Pay attention to the quiet yeses, noes and nudges that follow. Choose one and trust yourself enough to act on it. About the Guest: Leah Brathwaite Cooper is a bestselling author, soul advisor, spiritual teacher, and the founder of the Free Soul Collective. Her work helps ambitious women reconnect with who they truly are, manifest what they deeply desire, and create lives that feel as good on the inside as they look on the outside. Blending spirituality, manifestation, identity work, and grounded self-leadership, Leah teaches a different approach to creating a beautiful life—one rooted in alignment rather than achievement, and in becoming more of who you already are rather than constantly trying to become someone better. She is the author of A New Way of Life: A Guide for Transformation From Living a Lie to Freeing Your Soul and host of the Live Free Lifestyle Podcast. Leah lives in Malibu, California with her husband and believes that true freedom begins when you stop living the life you think you should want and give yourself permission to create the one you actually do. The Illusion Of Control: Why You Feel Stuck In Your Life
2026/08/18
What if the reason you feel stuck isn't because you don't know what to do next, but because you're trying too hard to control where your life is supposed to go? In this solo episode, I explore how control, conditioning and rigid expectations can disconnect you from your intuition, your body and the life that's actually happening right now. So much of what we think we want comes from timelines, programming and ideas about what life is supposed to look like. When you're constantly planning the future, analyzing the past or trying to force a specific outcome, there's very little room for presence, trust or possibility. This conversation is an invitation to loosen your grip, question the script you've been following and come back to what feels true for you. The more you create space to listen to yourself, the more available you become for the people, opportunities and experiences you could never have planned. In This Episode We Explore:Why control is often rooted in fearHow conditioning shapes what you believe you should wantThe difference between control and true intuitionWhy living in the future can keep you feeling stuckHow your environment and what you consume affect your inner worldWhy presence, pleasure and spontaneity matterWhat can happen when you stop trying to plan every step Your Practice for This Week:Notice where you're trying to control your life or follow a timeline that no longer feels true. Create more space. Spend time without distraction. Follow a spark of curiosity. Make one spontaneous choice simply because it feels good. Take your attention off everyone else's experience of you and bring it back to your own. Burn the script. Let life surprise you. Money Series with Marla Mattenson Part 3: How To Truly Live A Wealthy Abundant Life
2026/08/11
What if a truly wealthy life has far less to do with how much money you have and far more to do with how you experience your life? Kate welcomes Marla Mattenson back for the third and final part of their Money Series to explore what it actually means to live a wealthy, abundant life. They move beyond the numbers in your bank account and into the thoughts, relationships, self-worth, presence, pleasure and connection that shape how abundant your life actually feels. Marla explores how complaining, judgment and comparison can reveal the places where fear and old conditioning are still running the show. Rather than trying to suppress negative thoughts, she shares how to capture them, look for the patterns underneath them and discover the desires they may be pointing you toward. They also unpack the power of presence, why comparison is most useful when it becomes inspiration, and how our relationships and conversations can dramatically expand what we believe is possible for our lives. Ultimately, wealth becomes something much bigger than money. It is the capacity to feel worthy of the life you are creating, deeply connected to yourself and others, open to possibility and willing to keep dreaming beyond the limits of who you have been. In This Episode We Explore: How complaining and negative thoughts can reveal hidden scarcity patternsTurning comparison into inspiration instead of self-judgmentThe connection between presence, self-worth and abundanceExpanding your definition of wealth beyond moneyCreating a bigger vision for the life you truly want Your Practice for This Week: Take yourself on a date with the version of you already living your most fulfilled and abundant life. 2026/08/04
What if earning more than you need while doing work you love begins with changing the way you think and speak about money? Kate welcomes Marla Mattenson back for Part 2 of their conversation about women, money, creativity and abundance. Together, they explore how financial flow is connected to creative expression, nervous system regulation and the beliefs operating beneath the surface. Marla shares how complaining about money can reinforce scarcity, why dread may be a sign that something needs to change and how the “capture and compost” method can help you work with stressful thoughts without letting them control you. They also explore expanded net worth, which includes your intuition, creativity, resilience, joy, relationships and lived experience, not just the money in your bank account. This conversation invites you to become more conscious of your relationship with money, trust your inner knowing and take one imperfect step toward sharing your gifts. In This Episode We Explore: How creativity and financial flow are connectedWhy dread can signal that change is neededHow your language reinforces abundance or scarcityThe “capture and compost” methodHow financial fear affects the nervous systemWhat expanded net worth really meansWhy imperfect action creates momentum Your Practice for This Week: Create a note in your phone titled “Money Thoughts.” Capture any stressful or limiting thoughts that arise around money, work, time or receiving. Money Series with Marla Mattenson Part 1: How to Transform Your Relationship with Money
2026/07/28
What if earning more than you need while doing work you love is not something you have to prove yourself worthy of, but something you were born worthy of receiving? Kate welcomes business and relationship coach Marla Mattenson for the first conversation in a powerful series exploring women, money, worth and financial abundance. Together, they unpack why so many women feel anxious, ashamed or disempowered around money, even when they are earning well, and how those patterns are often connected to deeper emotional experiences. Marla introduces the concept of your financial birthright and explains how unresolved stories from the past can influence what you believe you are capable of receiving today. She also shares a simple practice for becoming more at peace with your personal timeline, releasing shame and opening yourself to greater purpose, opportunity and abundance. Their conversation also explores money and time as human-created ideas, why worry is not the same as love, and how sensitivity, intuition and spiritual awareness can become powerful strengths in both life and business. This conversation invites you to examine the stories shaping your relationship with money, honour the gifts that make you unique and become more available for the life you truly want. In This Episode We Explore: What it means to claim your financial birthrightHow past experiences shape your relationship with moneyWhy shame, worry and people-pleasing can limit what you receiveHow sensitivity and intuition can support abundanceA simple practice for creating peace with your pastWhy purpose and financial success can look different for every woman Your Practice for This Week: Repeat the following claim and notice what thoughts, memories or objections arise: “I am at complete peace with my entire timeline from conception through this present moment.” Rather than analyzing or judging what surfaces, capture it in writing or a voice note. Choose one experience and spend a few moments offering your past self the love, reassurance and presence she needed at that time. Why You Need To Stop Trying To Manifest Love
2026/07/21
What if trying to manifest love is the very thing keeping you from experiencing it? In this solo episode, Kate challenges the popular belief that you need to visualize, plan, and control your way into the perfect relationship. When the desire for love comes from fear, lack, or the belief that your life is incomplete, no person or relationship will ever feel like enough. Kate explores a new way of approaching love that begins with trusting life, returning to the present moment, and cultivating within yourself the feelings you have been waiting for someone else to provide. Instead of creating lists, searching for “the one,” or deciding how your love story should unfold, she invites you to let every connection reveal something deeper about who you are. When you stop treating love as a destination, you create space for relationships, experiences, and unexpected moments of connection to become part of your soul’s unfolding. In This Episode We Explore:Why manifesting love from a place of lack creates more seekingHow trying to control your love story communicates a lack of trust in lifeWhy your ideal-partner list may prevent you from being present on a dateHow every relationship can serve a different purpose in your evolutionThe difference between following your soul and following conditioned desiresWhy love is much bigger than one romantic relationshipHow people and places activate different parts of who you areThe importance of focusing on your experience instead of someone else’s experience of youWhy relationships are living, evolving experiences rather than destinationsHow cultivating the feelings you desire allows you to arrive in love already fulfilled Your purpose is not waiting somewhere outside of you, and neither is love. The more deeply you return to yourself, listen to your inner guidance, and follow what brings you alive, the more space you create for life to surprise you with something greater than you could have planned.
