Have You Ever Seen An Old Man Butt?
2026/01/24
Old man butt is real.
Have you ever seen an old man butt? It’s like somebody stole the buttcheeks in the middle of the night and left grandpa out there with negative aerodynamics. Put a wallet in the back pocket of some Levi's. You'll see what I mean. Just flopping all over the place.
We’re giving BBLs to the wrong people. We need to support our elders. If grandpa needs structural butt support to keep his chonies up, we as a society should step in.

Quick Tips
• If you only have 24 hours, pick your base: Ibiza Town (historic/closer to big clubs) or San Antonio (cheaper, big bay, nightlife strip).
• August heat is rugged. Get in the water when you can.
• San Antonio nightlife is loud and concentrated. Great if you want it. Brutal if you don’t.
• The morning port walk is worth it for filming and vibes.

Tesla Fanboy vs Reality: Have You Ever Been in a Tesla?
2026/01/07
Tesla fanboy vs reality, and I’m both voices in this back and forth.
Have you ever been in a Tesla? You know it’s genuinely impressive, and you also know it turns people into dorks who won’t stop talking about it.
If you’re even slightly interested in electric vehicles, this is the exact moment you either get it or you start planning your escape route. When people think something is cool they just keep going and going and going....
I hit the best parts of the Tesla ecosystem and the parts that make your friends regret asking - like the phone key, charging at home, software updates, and the sheer awesomeness of this invention. It’s me raggin on myself while still admitting it is the coolest.
Tell me which one you are in the comments, the Tesla fanboy, the person who does not care, or the exhausted passenger who just wants everyone to be normal for ten seconds.

Make 2026 Your Best Year Yet
2026/01/03
We’re two days into 2026. Time to get on it.
This is your chance. You can literally decide to upgrade anything you want. Learn something new. Fix the small thing you keep ignoring. Start the habit you have said you were going to start for months now. If you’ve been waiting for a sign, congratulations—this is it.
Here’s the part nobody wants to hear:
Momentum is a decision. And it starts with the smallest movement.
Pick one:
A tiny health win (walks, water, sleep, gym, yoga, literally anything)
A personal care win (haircut, wardrobe, clean the space, update the resume)
A relationship win (forgive somebo, or stop dating the human migraine)
A brain win (read 10 minutes before bed, learn Spanish, new playlist, new skill)
Do one move today. Not 47 moves. One. Then do it again tomorrow. Even if it’s only for a few minutes.
That’s how the “best year of your life” thing actually happens. One day at a time with little tiny baby steps.
Taking care of you makes you better at everything else - as a parent, partner, employee, or friend.
Feed the positive as well. Nothing negative about anybody. It brings you down, others down, and makes people want to be around you less. Try to only say positive things all day long and see what happens.YT: @maxwellskitchenpodcast

Is “Just Friends” the Best Christmas Movie? (Settle This)
2025/12/19
Every year it happens. I say "Just Friends" is the greatest Christmas movie and everyone around me says its not even about Christmas. So I’m making it your problem.
We’re putting it up against the usual suspects (Die Hard, Elf, Home Alone, Christmas Vacation, Love Actually, Bad Santa… all of them). I need the comment section to settle this so I can win an argument with some teenagers and finally win this battle.
Drop your #1 Christmas movie in the comments or like the comment you agree with. We gotta settle this once and for all.

Did I Peak In High School?
2025/12/01
“You peaked in high school, bud.”
That's rude. But also, what if they’re right?😬
In this episode I’m messing around with the idea of “peaking” in life. How do you even know when it happens? Is it your 20s, when you look the best you ever will but your brain aint quite there yet? Or is it later, when your mind is sharper, your body is louder, and your kids roast your old photos so hard you start questioning everything?
I talk about tiny aging shifts you don’t notice, kids as brutally honest mirrors, social media constantly updating everyone’s mental picture of your face, and the hilarious possibility that you might actually keep getting better, smarter, and hotter as you go. You just peaked at 85 years old, Bud.

GPS Is Making Me Dumb
2025/11/13
I have GPS, Google Maps, blue lines, red lines, ETA countdowns, the whole car navigation circus on my phone…and I still miss the turn. This little rant is about getting lost with directions, how phone navigation might be making me worse at reading signs, and whether paper maps and actually paying attention were secretly better.
If you’ve ever argued with your GPS, second-guessed the “fastest route,” or wondered why you still feel directionally dumb in the age of unlimited navigation apps, this one’s for you. Hit play, laugh at my bad sense of direction, and then check out more travel stories and episodes of Maxwell’s Kitchen Podcast around the site.

You Are the CEO of You (How Much Is Your Time Worth)
2025/10/29
You are the CEO of you. I don’t care if you’re hourly, on salary, or answering to a boss. You are still running the whole thing. Your life is basically a company and you’re in charge of every department. Operations, HR, marketing, finance, all of it. You choose who gets access to you. You choose what goes in your head. You choose how you show up.
This is self improvement but it’s not fake motivational talk. It’s personal responsibility. If you roll in with greasy hair, trash attitude, hung over at noon, wearing stuff that says “I gave up,” that’s your brand. That’s your company. People see that and decide what you’re worth. That’s career advice nobody gives you because it sounds rude.
So here’s the real question: how much is one hour of your life worth. Are you getting paid that right now. Or are you working cheap because you’re scared to ask for more.
Brian Tracy talks about this a lot. You are basically self employed no matter who signs the check. You’re the president of your own personal services company and you are the product. You are responsible for results in your life, not the economy, not your boss, not “the market.” Take control of your life, take responsibility, and act like the CEO.
That’s what this episode is about. Confidence, mindset, knowing your value, and not letting other people decide what you’re allowed to earn. Show up like it matters. Get a little more useful every day. Raise your rate.
If your life is the company, are you running it for real or are you letting it run you.
What do you think?

What If You Could Be Someone Else for a Day? (Inside Their Mind)
2025/10/09
What if you could be someone else for a day, you know, inside their mind? From icons like Michael Jordan, Oprah, and Einstein to your neighbor, a two-year-old, or a gas-station attendant, I'm wondering what it’s really like to be other people, and what you might gain by having different perspectives.
In this episode is a “live as anyone” thought experiment: would you pay to step into another person's brain for an hour? Or a day? What about a week?Would empathy skyrocket if we could feel a surgeon’s focus, a performer’s stage rush, or a homeless person’s daily reality? Where you end up in life is a combination of ambition, luck, wiring, and location. There are so many factors that go into making you who you are. Some things can be changed and some are a little predestined. But how much better would the world be if you could truly experience what other people live day after day?
You’ll hear thoughts on celebrities, regular people, as well as Foxconn workers assembling your iPhone. The goal is to ponder and explore everyone else’s life, and you might discover that being you is better than you think.
And then a question for you...
If you could spend one day as anyone, who would you choose, and why? Drop your pick in the comments.

Why Do We Feel Embarrassed And How To Care Less
2025/10/01
We all get embarrassed. This episode looks at why it happens and how to care less when it suddenly hits. You will hear a quick story from a young guy in 6th grade, then we muse for a few minutes about what embarrassment is doing to you every time you feel it.
Most embarrassment lives in your head and softens as soon as you zoom out. And as time goes on you probably don't even remember it correctly! Or maybe you do. Seems like the easiest things to recall are the ones that make you cringe the most.
Think of embarrassment as a social alarm. Your brain is predicting how others might react and asking you to adjust. Some people seem immune and others freeze at a coffee order, but the difference is usually how much weight you give to these imagined opinions. When you give yourself a break, you usually find out it's not that big of a deal.
There are simple ways to practice this. Reframe the timeline and ask what you will think in a week or in a year. Laugh at yourself. Apologize when you should. Try small risks on purpose to build confidence. Order first. Publish that post. Speak up just once in the meeting. Each small rep makes the next moment easier.
Embarrassment also changes with age. Kids don't care. Teens collect bold mistakes. Adults hide their misfires. Many older adults stop caring as much. The feeling is universal, but it is temporary and it rarely defines you. Most people are focused on their own lives, not your last awkward moment.
If you have some cringe, share it. It helps to see how common this is and it turns anything heavy into a hilarious moment. Be kind to yourself, be good to your people, and keep moving. No one is keeping score except you 😉.
