Men and Lust

Men and Lust
What does a man lose when he gives himself to lust?
In this episode of Men’s POD, we take a deeper look at the cost of lust through the story of Judah in Genesis 38.
Judah thought he was simply satisfying a desire, but in the process, he surrendered three significant things: his signet, his cord, and his staff.
And that raises a bigger question for every man:
What are you giving away to satisfy what you could have disciplined?
Lust can cost a man more than his peace. It can affect his identity, authority, relationships, direction, integrity, and capacity to lead.
This conversation is not about shaming men for having sexual desires. Desire is human. The issue is what happens when desire becomes the master and the man becomes its servant.
We explore the hidden cost of lust, the things men unknowingly surrender when they refuse to govern their desires, and what it means to reclaim self-control and become a man who can be trusted with his desires, his relationships, and his responsibility.
You may think you are only losing a moment.
But what else are you putting down to have it?
Men’s POD, Real conversations. Honest perspectives. The making of men.
The Saul and David Test
2026/01/08
From the Backside of Life to the Burden of Visibility
Many men start from the backside of life humble beginnings, rejection, obscurity, and doubt. But the real test does not come in the hiding. It comes after elevation.
In this episode of Men’s Pod, we examine the lives of Saul and David two men chosen by God, both shaped by rejection, both elevated to power, and both tempted to prove a point. Saul came from the smallest tribe and was once humble in his own sight, yet lost his kingdom by choosing public approval over obedience. David, the overlooked shepherd boy, also failed grievously but what set him apart was repentance.
This conversation explores:
• How rejection can quietly shape a man’s need for validation
• Why success exposes identity wounds rather than healing them
• The danger of people-pleasing and image management
• The difference between defending reputation and embracing repentance
• Why there is no point to prove, only a path to walk
This episode is a call to young men rising from humble beginnings:
Do not let the pain of where you came from destroy what you are becoming.
Listen, reflect, and grow.
If by Rudyard Kipling
2025/07/20
If—
by Rudyard Kipling
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!
The Alpha Male
2025/07/14
What really makes a man “alpha”?
In this episode, we dive into the origin of the Alpha Male concept — tracing it back to a misunderstood wolf study, later debunked by the very scientist who coined it. Yet, the myth persists in modern culture, often promoting dominance, emotional suppression, and performative masculinity.
We’re not just here to criticize the term — we’re here to redefine it.
👊 What if being “alpha” wasn’t about controlling others…
…but about mastering yourself?
🔥 We explore:
• The real history behind the “alpha male”
• Why the myth is misleading and damaging
• What strength, leadership, and influence should look like for modern men
• The power of humility, integrity, and emotional intelligence
It’s time to flip the script.
The Vulnerable Man

The Vulnerable Man: Redefining Vulnerability
In a world that often confuses emotional exposure with weakness, what does true vulnerability look like for a man?
In this episode, we unpack the misunderstood concept of male vulnerability. It’s not just about crying or being soft — it’s about honesty, responsibility, healing, and inner strength. Real vulnerability is admitting when you’re wrong, seeking help when you’re lost, and standing firm in your truth.
We challenge the cultural narrative that says “a vulnerable man is a weak man,” and instead show that true strength is in being real — not reckless.
🎙️ Let’s redefine what it means to be a whole man in a world that wants to either toughen or feminize him.
Classified Strength

🎙 Men’s POD — Episode 4: Classified Strength
Your strength is not eternal—it’s seasonal. And knowing what season you’re in can change everything.
In this powerful episode, we explore the concept of “Classified Strength” — the truth that a man’s strength comes in different forms and shows up in different seasons of life. From physical might to emotional resilience, from financial stability to spiritual depth, true masculinity means knowing when to lean in and when to pivot.
🔹 What kind of strength are you operating in right now?
🔹 What happens when you neglect other dimensions of your strength?
🔹 How do you balance it all so you don’t lose yourself in one pursuit?
We break it all down—and call every man to build wisely and live intentionally.
💭 Strength isn’t just about muscles. It’s about maturity.

Be A Man

🎙️ Be A Man — Men’s POD Episode 3
“Be a man!” — A phrase we’ve all heard. But what does it truly mean?
In this episode of Men’s POD, we unpack one of the most loaded statements in culture. We dive into its damaging stereotypes, hidden pressures, and the silent expectations it places on men. More importantly, we redefine what it means to truly be a man — from strength and responsibility to emotional depth, health, and purpose.
As we mark National Men’s Health Week, we ask:
• Are you carrying definitions that are breaking you?
• What does healthy masculinity look like?
• How can we embrace strength and still remain human?
This episode is your permission to reflect, rethink, and rebuild.
🎧 Tune in, reflect, and share. It’s time to rewrite the script.

Game of Identity
2025/05/20
🎙 Men’s POD | Episode 1: Game of Identity
Who is a man — really?
In this powerful first episode of Men’s POD, we peel back the layers of masculinity to ask bold, necessary questions:
Who is a man biologically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally?
Why does he matter? And what happens to a society when men don’t know their purpose?
From the pressure to "be strong" to the confusion of modern identity, this is not just a podcast — it’s a journey back to meaning. We explore how losing clarity on manhood creates chaos in families, communities, and nations. Because as Dr. Myles Munroe said: "When the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable."
We also dive into what POD stands for — a place of Purpose, Order, and Development — where men can grow, connect, and rediscover themselves.
Whether you’re searching, struggling, or simply curious — this is the conversation you didn’t know you needed.
🎧 Tap in. Let’s redefine manhood — together.
