For the fourth episode of the #BBBeyond series, Emma Rainey and Scarlett Varga interview Enrique Mendizabal from On Think Tanks on what it means to be a male ally, taking inspiration from the newly launched toolkit series. They spoke about cross-cutting gender analysis in research and how grassroots and civil society partnerships could offer new opportunities for think tanks. Enrique shares with us an important "aha" moment in seeing gender inequality around him, and he also gives his take on diversity and inclusion initiatives within think tanks. For the third episode of the #BBBeyond series, we had a webinar chat with Susana Pavlou from the Cypriot national database 'She Experts' and Nina Bernarding from the newly launched 'WoX Network' of women foreign policy experts. We spoke about the impact of Covid-19 on women experts and gender equality, but also about the launch of the new BBBeyond interactive map of women expert databases in Europe and beyond, and how women-led networks are important for taking up space. For the second episode of the #BBBeyond series, we met up with Maria Andres from the European Parliament Office in Spain where we discuss the #DóndeEstánEllas project and the importance of breaking gender roles to enhance women's participation in society. 

As part of the Brussels Binder Beyond (BBBeyond) project, we've been building a pan-European network of like-minded organisations, think-tanks and women expert databases to foster an inclusive and solution-focused environment to promote women's visibility in media and policy debates.  We've been on the road, meeting up with other women-led initiatives to hear what they've been doing to combat the under-representation of women in their sectors and industries. So for the first episode of the #BBBeyond series, we met up with Roisin Duffy from Women on Air in Ireland where we discussed the lack of women's representation in media broadcasting but also how women's civil society and social movements have been taking up space in media.
