Remember when DVDs came with commentary tracks and you could watch a movie while listening to the people who made it? Yeah… we miss that shit too. So we decided to make our own. For the first Middle-Aged & Mediocre Commentary Buddies episode, Cash and Joel sit down with Child’s Play 3 and provide our own completely unofficial commentary track. Movie trivia, dumb observations, questionable opinions, random tangents, jokes, nostalgia, and plenty of moments where we wonder who the hell thought some of this was a good idea. Netflix... explain yourself. This week on Middle-Aged & Mediocre, we're diving into some of the strangest decisions in Hollywood. We kick things off by trying to make sense of the bizarre tagline for Ebenezer, debate whether the world really needs a Matchbox movie, and share our thoughts on the upcoming Resident Evil film. Then it's time for another round of one of our favorite games, Guessflix. Joel challenges Cash with three movie pitches, and Cash has to figure out which one is currently in the Netflix Top 10, which one is streaming on Netflix but isn't trending, and which one Joel completely invented. Think you can do better? Play along before the answers are revealed. Along the way, we talk about 10x10, Voicemails for Isabelle, Stolen Baby, and Joel's hilariously fake creations: Brotherhood starring Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Room To Grow starring John Cusack. If you love movies, streaming, pop culture, ridiculous debates, and two middle-aged guys with questionable judgment, you've found your people. For absolutely no reason whatsoever, and completely not due to any current events, our new episode is all about a young Italian man who hijacked an airplane on October 31, 1969. While most hijackers in the 60s demanded to be taken to Cuba, Raffaele Minichiello had a different destination in mind. The hijacked flight went across the country from California to New York before heading to an entirely different continent. We're giving you a history lesson on this episode, but don't worry, it's a hilarious tale of incompetence! During the Russo-Japanese War in 1904, Russia was looking to take back a warm water port on the Liaodong Peninsula in the south of Manchuria, China. Russia had gained control of Port Arthur through an agreement with China but Japan wasn't having that and took control of it at The Siege of Port Arthur. In response, Russia decided to send a fleet of their ships on an 18,000 mile journey to attempt to ambush the Japanese and get the port back. Unfortunately, the fleet known as the Russian Second Pacific Squadron was a hodgepodge of old obsolete battleships, ferries, and yachts manned by a crew of inexperienced sailors. The events that occurred during their long voyage were a slapstick comedy of errors that resulted in disaster after disaster. We promise that if you like to laugh, you HAVE to listen to this episode!

Ten Cent Beer Night was a promotion held by Major League Baseball's Cleveland Indians during a game against the Texas Rangers at Cleveland Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio on June 4, 1974. The promotion was meant to improve attendance at the game by offering cups of beer for just 10 cents each, with a limit of six beers per purchase but no limit on the number of purchases made during the game. If you watched the MAX docuseries about Natalia Grace, you know how that case was influenced by the 2009 horror movie, "The Orphan", but what you might not know is that the horror movie was inspired by a true story that took place in the Czech Republic. A woman named Barbora Skrlova, born with a condition known as hypopituitarism, which affected her growth and appearance, making her look much younger than her actual age, used this to her advantage to escape justice and manipulate others, posing as different children in different countries and recruiting new members into her father's cult, known as The Grail. Stick around to find out what Joel did to get blocked by WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce on Facebook. He must have said something pretty awful, right? Well, click play on this episode and hear what happened. Finally, we make our picks for every game of the Week 4 NFL season.

Titu Singh was not an ordinary child. He didn't act like an ordinary child. He didn't talk like an ordinary child. He didn't have an ordinary child's memories. His memories were those of a man named Suresh Verma and those memories just happened to include the details of how Suresh Verma was murdered in 1983. This is a wild story and will leave you questioning your beliefs on reincarnation. Stick around after Titu's story to hear Cash unveil the nightmare situation he's been dealing with all because of an eBay sale. We also preview Week 3 of the NFL season and make our predictions for what the end of this season will end up looking like. We're back and we missed you all!
