Patty has not let disabilities slow her down one bit!  She is in the blind-deaf community, she sat down to talk to me about the challenges she's overcome and the book that she self published, "Charging Into Life", sharing pieces of her life so far. She also talks about some of the challenges facing others in the blind-deaf community including isolation, lack of transportation and work place oppression. I'm joined by a fellow realtor on this episode.  Like me, Katherine moved to Boston without knowing anyone and continued the real estate career she had begun in Washington, DC.   We both agree, it's not for the faint at heart, but here we are. Katherine shares how she shared information on her social media about a local business that had closed with something new opening in it's place.  She woke up to lots of comments and the understanding that this was the type of content people were looking for.  Now with over 22,000 instagram followers she continues to share information about new buildings, construction, restaurants and more that are coming to the area with her TV personality like approach.  In addition, Katherine has a passion for supporting other women.  With that in mind, she started a dinner series called "The Table" inviting women from all different real estate brokerages across the city and state to sit down to share, collab and grow!

Kicking off season 7 of Bold Like Her with an old friend I had the chance to catch up with as we sat down to chat fitness, life and where she is now in her career. Kate is the COO of Higher Ground Fitness, helping them to continue to grow and open more locations around Boston.  We talked about what the workout looks like along with their proprietary HGF Machine! Fitness has always been a part of Kate's life, in fact she ran the Boston Marathon at the age of just 15! She followed the path she thought was meant for her with positions in finance at companies like Wayfair and Pintrest but felt a pull in another direction. She found herself mentoring and coaching other fitness studio owners on how to run their locations as money making businesses and as fate would have it met the owner of Higher Ground.

On this episode I sit down with Jenni Rose DiCecco. This former record breaking collegiate basketball player is a very busy woman. She's a volunteer with a  local non-profit, works with the Celtics to help young girls interested in the sport and has even started a women's networking group for other women that lead here in Boston! We talk about her experience in college basketball, the growth of women's sports and more!

Karly is the Chief Information Officer at Zinkerz an academic tutoring, test prep and admissions counseling company. Karly is a leader who has consistently pushed boundaries in education and technology to create meaningful change.   Her journey began after earning her degrees, working in public relations for a major company. She quickly recognized that the industry often prioritized competition over collaboration, which led her to pivot. She applied last-minute to Boston College's Graduate School of Education, earned her master's, and then returned to the classroom at Newton North High School.  During her time home with her daughter and then her son, she continued to support students by writing content for test prep companies. Amelie Hennessy is a licensed real estate agent with 15+ years experience as a landlord and property manager.  She holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance as well as a Master's degree in Project Management.   Amelie and her ex-husband Josh started out as owners of a 2 family home in the Boston area years ago.  They continued to invest in real estate over the years while growing their family while Josh played professional hockey. Although they are no longer married, they continue to work together as business partners and co-parents of their 4 children.
