In this episode, we dive into the core principles of lasting leadership, from maintaining an ongoing learning posture to healing untended emotional wounds. S10 Ep 5 Hitting Your Stride: 50s and 60s
2026/05/06
In the powerhouse decades of our 50s and 60s, the spiritual journey shifts from discovery to convergence, where years of experience finally meet a refined sense of calling. This episode explores how to move into the epicenter of your calling by deliberately "zeroing in" on what God has fashioned you to do best. We discuss the discipline of letting go of the merely "good" to embrace the "very best," leaning into a focused life where your spiritual gifts bear consistent, mature fruit. By learning to recognize the markers of grace, favor, and anointing, you can stop wandering and start hitting your stride—walking at God’s pace and functioning effectively in the major life role He has prepared for you. 2026/04/21
In the mid-life season of our 40s and 50s, the "trial and error" of youth begins to give way to a more defined sense of life purpose. This episode explores how God uses these years to help us move toward clarity, leaning into the unique spiritual gifts that are finally starting to bear consistent fruit. It’s a pivotal time of alignment where we shift from searching for our place to functioning more effectively in our calling. S10 Ep 3 Get a Glimpse of Your Calling - 20s and 30s
2026/04/07
Being in your 20s and 30s is a special time of discovery — who you are, what you enjoy, who you want to be around, going different places, trying different things and figuring out what you want to do with your life.  This is also a time when your character is being formed, and even though we often get caught up in activities, remember that it's more important what God is building in you rather than what He's doing through you.  Dr. Bobby Clinton's Materials: BobbyClinton.com Additional information: ClintonLeadership.com When available, episode notes are at Lionshare.org/podcast. What are you doing in terms of calling and purpose in this season of your life? What is the big picture of what God is doing? Remember that God is never done working. He’s always up to something. The moment we know what that is, we can join him in that effort. God has a purpose, a call and need for every one of us. BEST OF: Jesus Paced Himself. Do You?
2026/01/14
We're two weeks into the year, and many of us are back to our regular, busy schedules.  Even though we told ourselves to slow down this year, be more intentional, leave margin in our lives, be more present, and spend more time in Scripture, it's so easy to fall back into our default state — busy.  Can Jesus relate? He spent a short time on Earth.  He had a lot to do.  He was surrounded by needs everywhere, but He was never in a hurry and always on time.  What can we learn from Jesus and can we do the same?  When available, episode notes are at Lionshare.org/podcast. BEST OF: Repent to Reset in 2026
2025/12/30
The new year is a time to reset.  We reflect, we plan and we take action.  But how about starting 2026 with something different — repentance? Taking time for confession seems like a lost spiritual discipline these days. The heart and act of repentance that should follow takes humility and courage.  It's hard but worth it.  When available, episode notes are at Lionshare.org/podcast. BEST OF: The Gift of Rest
2025/12/16
We are well in the swing of the Christmas season.  For many, that means a daily crush of gift buying, holiday parties, Christmas cards, the end of the school semester and on and on. It’s all part of that relentless rush of life, but God intends for us to honor the Sabbath and to trust Him with our time – it’s His gift to us. We must allow God to guide us in incorporating rest into our lives intentionally. This includes seeking His presence, rejuvenating relationships, and finding mental and emotional rest. Lionshare’s founder and president Dave Buehring preached this sermon at Northway Christian Community in Pittsburgh on how God wants us to live and lead in peace, joy, and health, with a deep sense of His presence and purpose in our lives. Books mentioned: "Margin" by Dr. Richard Swenson "The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry" by John Mark Comer When available, episode notes are at Lionshare.org/podcast. S9 Ep 8 Peacemaking and Persecution
2025/07/01
Being known as a peacemaker is a profound honor in heaven, signifying a threat to evil and earning the proud recognition of God as His son or daughter. We are not supposed to be the cause of conflict. Peacemaking requires a meek, merciful, and pure heart that prioritizes God's glory and the well-being of His people over selfish concerns or earthly prestige. Jesus concludes the Beatitudes by moving from peacemaking to persecution; from reconciling relationships to experiencing rejection and hostility. Blessed are the persecuted for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  When available, episode notes are at Lionshare.org/podcast. Learn more about Lionshare's ministry at Lionshare.org. S9 Ep 7 Can Our Hearts Be Pure?
2025/06/17
Jesus says the pure in heart will see God, but purity seems like a very high bar. We know God sees into our hearts because it reflects the “real me” and the “real you.” When available, episode notes are at Lionshare.org/podcast. S9 Ep 6 I'm Begging You for Mercy
2025/05/20
We don’t think much about mercy until we need it.  We don’t want to suffer the consequences when we have wronged someone.  But when the shoe is on the other foot, we realize that it is far more satisfying to default to revenge and displays of strength.  Jesus calls us to be merciful though.  Will we obey? S9 Ep 5 What Are You Hungry For?
2025/05/06
If someone asked you what you hunger for, what would be your answer? Happiness? Time? Comfort? Healthy relationships? Financial security? Peace? Jesus tells us that we are blessed if we hunger and thirst for righteousness.  It’s that piece of us that is bothered by injustice, desires strong character and conduct and longs to be in a right relationship with God.  When we pursue those things, we will move from feeling empty to being satisfied. When available, episode notes are at Lionshare.org/podcast. Learn more about Lionshare's ministry at Lionshare.org. S9 Ep 4 What Does Meekness Look Like?
2025/04/22
Meekness conjures the idea of being a doormat, letting others trample over us. In our world, the meek person is not valued.  But Jesus says the meek will inherit the earth.  We must have the wrong idea of what it means to be meek. Theologian RT Kendall says, "It is the opposite of self-righteousness, arrogance, haughtiness, smugness and defensiveness." That sounds like something we all need, so how does it look to be meek?
