More Than a Workout: What a CrossFit Affiliate Can Be
2026/09/29
Most people walk into a CrossFit affiliate expecting a workout.
And yes, there are barbells, rowers, pull-up bars, hard workouts, and plenty of opportunities to get fitter.
But over time, an affiliate can become something much bigger.
In this episode of the Warrior’s Path CrossFit Podcast, Kris explores the idea of the CrossFit affiliate as a third place—somewhere beyond home and work where people regularly show up, become known, learn, contribute, and belong.
But this isn't simply another conversation about CrossFit community.
A great affiliate can also be a classroom where athletes learn about movement and their own bodies. It's a place to practice doing hard things, develop confidence, receive professional coaching, and eventually even learn how to coach and develop others.
It's also an environment where taking care of your health becomes normal—and where returning after life interrupts your routine is part of the process.
Because CrossFit shouldn't become your entire life.
It should help you build the fitness and capacity to live a bigger one.
The affiliate is where we practice. Life is where we use it.
Fitness = Freedom. Health = Wealth.
Take the Warrior’s Path.
Health Is Not a Solo Project: Why the People Around You Matter More Than You Think
2026/09/15
The Warrior’s Path CrossFit Podcast explores fitness, nutrition, mindset, and the habits that support lifelong health.
Hosted by Warrior’s Path CrossFit owner and CrossFit Level 3 Trainer Kris Perry-Tedesco, each episode combines current conversations in health and fitness with practical coaching insight you can actually apply to your life.
Because fitness isn’t just about what happens in the gym—it’s about building the strength, confidence, and capacity to live your life well.
Fitness = Freedom. Health = Wealth. Take the Warrior’s Path.
What Does It Actually Mean to Be Fit? — A 10th Anniversary Special
2026/09/01
Special Anniversary Edition: What Does It Actually Mean to Be Fit?
Ten years of Warrior’s Path CrossFit—and this special anniversary episode goes back to the principles that started it all.
What does it actually mean to be healthy? What does it mean to be fit? And why should we strive for something beyond simply being “well”?
In this episode, Kris explores some of CrossFit’s foundational concepts, including the Sickness-Wellness-Fitness Continuum, the 10 General Physical Skills, World-Class Fitness in 100 Words, and CrossFit’s theoretical hierarchy of development.
But this conversation goes beyond workouts.
We explore how nutrition creates the foundation, conditioning builds the engine, gymnastics teaches us to control our bodies, weightlifting teaches us to interact with the world around us, and sport gives us an opportunity to actually use the fitness we've built.
Then we add another critical layer: mindset.
Environment. Knowledge. Confidence. Discipline. Habits.
Because knowing what to do isn't enough. Long-term health comes from creating an environment that makes better decisions easier, developing confidence in those decisions, and learning how to return when vacations, injuries, illness, stress, or simply life interrupt the plan.
Fitness doesn't guarantee that we'll never experience sickness, injury, or setbacks.
It gives us a buffer.
The farther we move toward fitness, the more capacity we build to handle whatever life asks of us—and the more we have to draw from when life inevitably knocks us backward.
After 10 years of Warrior’s Path CrossFit, the mission remains remarkably simple:
Build the foundation.Develop the capacity.Practice the skills.Create the habits.Use your fitness.
Because Fitness = Freedom. Health = Wealth.
Happy 10th Anniversary, Warrior’s Path.
And thank you to everyone who has taken the Warrior’s Path with us.
Your Watch Has the Data. Now What?
2026/08/25
Season 2, Episode 5 — Your Watch Has the Data. Now What?
We have more health information at our fingertips than ever before.
Heart rate. Recovery. HRV. Sleep. Steps. Calories. VO2 max. Training load. Nutrition tracking.
But having more data raises a bigger question:
Are we actually using it to make better decisions?
In this episode of the Warrior’s Path CrossFit Podcast, Kris explores some of this week’s biggest conversations across CrossFit, nutrition, and mindset through the lens of wearable technology.
We look at why your watch can’t see your squat, what heart-rate data can—and can’t—tell us about building our aerobic engine, and why the growing conversation around GLP-1s, protein, and muscle preservation requires us to look beyond a number on the scale.
Then we take on the mindset side of tracking: recovery scores, streaks, constant optimization, screen fatigue, and what happens when our devices begin influencing how we think we’re supposed to feel.
Wearables can provide valuable information. But they don’t know your whole story.
Data doesn’t create change. Decisions do.
The goal isn’t to stop tracking. It’s to become better at interpreting what the information means, recognizing patterns, and making choices that support a stronger, healthier, more capable life.
Fitness = Freedom. Health = Wealth.
Take the Warrior’s Path.
The Trends Are Changing... But the Principles Still Work
2026/08/18
Fitness trends change. Nutrition headlines change. Companies change. Motivation definitely changes.
But the principles that build long-term health and fitness? Those tend to stick around.
In Season 2, Episode 4 of the Warrior’s Path Podcast, Kris looks at what’s happening right now across fitness, nutrition, and mindset—and brings it back to the fundamentals that continue to work.
We’ll talk about what the CrossFit Games remind us about mastery, movement quality, community, and years of consistent work.
On the nutrition side, we’ll explore Procter & Gamble’s planned acquisition of Thorne and what a major corporate acquisition could mean for a premium supplement brand, its consumers, and affiliate partners—while remembering that supplements should support the foundation, not replace it.
And in mindset, we’re tackling one of the least exciting but most powerful tools we have: consistency. Not perfection. Not endless motivation. The ability to build systems, return when life knocks us off course, and keep doing the ordinary things that move us forward.
Because trends can give us new ideas—but principles help us decide which ones actually matter.
Fitness = Freedom. Health = Wealth.
Take the Warrior’s Path.
What Are People Really Searching For? Making Sense of Today's Biggest Fitness, Nutrition & Mindset Trends
2026/08/11
What are people really searching for?
Every week, a new fitness trend seems to take over the internet. Zone 2 training. HYROX. Walking. High-protein diets. Gut health. Creatine. Nervous system regulation. Sustainable discipline.
But beneath all the headlines and hashtags lies a deeper question.
In this episode of the Warrior's Path CrossFit Podcast, coach Kris Perry-Tedesco explores the biggest conversations currently shaping fitness, nutrition, and personal growth—and explains what they really mean for everyday people.
Rather than chasing every new trend, you'll learn how to interpret them through the lens of sustainable health, practical coaching, and lifelong fitness. Discover why people are searching for more than better workouts, how community and connection influence long-term success, and why the strongest habits are often the simplest ones repeated consistently.
Whether you're a seasoned CrossFitter, just beginning your health journey, or simply trying to cut through the noise of today's wellness culture, this episode will help you focus on what truly matters.
Because fitness isn't about keeping up with every trend.
It's about building a stronger, healthier, more capable life—one intentional choice at a time.
Fitness isn't the destination—it expands what's possible in your life.
2026/08/06
This weekend, after coaching our Saturday classes, three of us wandered into the woods behind the gym.
We've all noticed this incredible deck tucked away overlooking the creek. Two levels, surrounded by trees—it almost looked like something out of a treehouse or a nature retreat.
The Bigger Lesson
Talk about how children naturally explore.
Adults don't.
We become efficient.
Busy.
Scheduled.
We stop wandering.
We stop noticing.
We stop asking,
"I wonder what's over there?"
—not because we lost the desire, but because life became busy, predictable, and scheduled.
The irony is that we spend hours in the gym building stronger, healthier bodies, yet sometimes forget to use them to experience the world around us.
Because fitness isn't the destination.
It's what gives us the freedom to say "yes" when life invites us to explore.
Fitness = Freedom. Health = Wealth.
Take the Warrior's Path.
Fitness Is Trending. Purpose Is the Missing Piece.
2026/07/28
Fitness is everywhere right now. The CrossFit Games are underway, HYROX continues to grow, and the conversation around strength, longevity, and performance is only getting louder.
But beneath all of those trends is a more important question:
What are we actually training for?
In this episode, Kris connects what is happening in fitness right now with the first two parts of the Warrior’s Path CrossFit Blueprint—why Warrior’s Path exists and what we believe fitness should create.
From elite competition to everyday victories inside the affiliate, this conversation explores the difference between performing fitness and using fitness to build a stronger, healthier, more capable life.
Because scores matter. PRs matter. Competition matters.
But fitness should ultimately give us something greater: confidence, resilience, independence, connection, and freedom.
Fitness = Freedom. Health = Wealth.

Welcome to the Petting Zoo (It’s Actually CrossFit)
2026/05/06
What if the hardest part of CrossFit… isn’t the workout — it’s just getting people through the door?
In this silly post-workout conversation, Coach Kris, Coach Drew, and Coach Cayla brainstorm increasingly ridiculous ways to “recruit” people into CrossFit — including kidnapping neighbors in Tim’s van, offering fake trips to the petting zoo, subliminal squat messages through headphones, and duct tape-related marketing strategies. (For legal reasons… this is a joke.)
But underneath the humor is a real conversation about something bigger:
• Why so many people avoid fitness• How bad past experiences with exercise shape behavior• Why CrossFit matters beyond aesthetics• The connection between movement, confidence, health, longevity, and community• How fitness can improve your ability to say “yes” to life
The coaches also dive into the psychology of motivation, the comfort trap of modern life, and why functional fitness is one of the most powerful long-term investments you can make in your health.
If you’ve ever struggled to start, wondered if CrossFit is “for you,” or needed a reminder that fitness should actually be fun — this episode is for you.
🎧 Expect laughs, chaos, and a surprisingly meaningful conversation about health and human behavior.
Long-Term Health and a few takeaways
CrossFit improves quality of life, not just appearance.Fitness builds confidence and capability outside the gym.Community reduces intimidation and increases adherence.Functional movement protects long-term independence.People often avoid exercise because of past negative experiences — not laziness.Health behaviors are tied deeply to psychology and environment.Movement creates momentum in other areas of life. This episode is all about humanizing CrossFit. It is not elitist or hardcore — it is funny and relatable, welcoming, and grounded in helping people live better lives.
🎧 Most people don’t fail fitness. Fitness fails them.
2026/04/01
In this episode of the Warrior’s Path CrossFit Podcast, we break down the belief that you either “have it” or you don’t—and why that mindset is holding so many people back.
This isn’t just a conversation about training.
It’s about identity, capability, and what becomes possible when you realize you’re not stuck.
Kris shares the story behind Warrior’s Path CrossFit, and why the mission never changed.
From taking a CrossFit Level 1 with no intention of coaching…to building a community that’s impacted lives for nearly a decade…
This episode goes deeper than workouts. We dive into topics such as;
The realization that fitness isn’t fixed—it’s trainable across 10 domains
The shift from learning for herself to leading others
The honest reality of entrepreneurship—trusting the wrong people, surviving COVID, and almost losing it all
The deeper definition of freedom—not time, but capability
The ripple effect: how one person getting stronger changes everything around them
🎯 Why This Matters
If you’ve ever felt like:
You’re “just not that person”
You’re behind, stuck, or starting too late
Or fitness just hasn’t worked for you…
This episode will challenge that—and give you a new lens to look through.

👉 Goals That Stick: A Simple Framework for Real Progress
2026/01/14
January is full of motivation — but clarity is usually missing.
In this episode of the Warrior’s Path CrossFit Podcast, Coach Kris breaks down the exact goal-setting framework taught at the January Goal Setting Workshop and shows you how to build goals that actually last past February.
Instead of vague intentions like “get fitter” or “be more consistent,” this episode walks you through a simple, repeatable system built around clarity, consistency, and momentum.
You’ll learn:
Why most people don’t fail because they don’t care — they fail because goals are unclear
The 3-goal framework (performance, health, lifestyle) that keeps focus without overwhelm
Why 90-day windows beat year-long resolutions
How weekly action steps turn big goals into habits
Why writing goals down changes everything (Kindlin’s Law)
How accountability accelerates progress — and when coaching helps
Coach Kris also recaps what’s coming up at the gym, including the CrossFit Open, judging course opportunities, rowing challenges, upcoming events, and community fundraisers.
If you’ve ever felt fired up in January but lost direction by spring — this episode is for you.

🎙️The Other 23: Pag's Unfiltered: Wall Balls, Fishing, and 45 Pounds Down The Other 23:
2026/01/07
In this episode of the Warrior’s Path CrossFit Podcast (The Other 23 series), Coach Kris sits down with member Pags (Robert) to talk about life outside the gym—growing up in New Jersey, the shift from city life to quiet country nights, and what consistency looks like when you’re up at 4:30am and still making it to class.
Pags shares how CrossFit + nutrition coaching helped him drop 45–50 pounds, feel better in his body, and build habits that actually stick—plus a few fun surprises (fishing, favorite foods, and why wall balls are his thing).
Plot twist: “I love to gamble… horses.” (and CrossFit replaced some of that time — an unexpected “habit swap” moment)
