This week we're working with eight transits, four of which we're highlighting: the Sun moves into Scorpio, Mercury begins its Retrograde at 20° Scorpio, the Full Moon rises in Taurus, and Venus Retrogrades back home into Libra. Our Degree of the Week is 20°, the Scorpio degree, where Mercury will sit for seven straight days. There's no hiding now. We open with a few words about a heavy week here in Bend, and why sensitivity is a gift rather than a problem. Before the Sun goes deep, it clears the air with the North Node and faces Chiron in Aries for the ninth and final time in this cycle. Then on Friday, the day of Venus, the Sun meets Venus Retrograde, and the question rises: where are we most vulnerable, and who in our lives is worthy of seeing it? The Full Moon in Taurus lands at 2°, the exact degree of the Solar Eclipse on this same date four years ago. Who was in your life in October 2022 who isn't anymore? Show yourself, but only to the ones who are worthy of seeing all of you. (21:40) Venus Retrograde in Scorpio Square Pluto in Aquarius 03° – October 16 – 21 (Friday – Wednesday) – Monday, October 19. This week we're working with four transits, and all of them land in the back half of the week. Pluto returns to direct motion at 3° Aquarius on Thursday, back at the exact degree where it entered its Retrograde Shadow in January. The same day, the Sun in Libra forms a Sextile with Jupiter in Leo at 21°, and on Friday Mars in Leo forms a Trine with Saturn Retrograde in Aries at 10°, the Degree of the week. Each of these aspects is rare on its own. Together, they haven't occurred at the same time in over 2,400 years, and Pluto was in Aquarius then too. Underneath all of it, Venus Retrograde and Mercury are still moving through Scorpio, and the questions keep coming back to intimacy, vulnerability, and who we share our magic with. We take a look at the Scorpion as the most vilified symbol in the Zodiac, the Water Bearer who built the jug for the village, and what Pluto is asking each of us to create between now and 2028. We close with the Sun in Libra Square the Moon in Capricorn on Sunday, and a conversation about authority that some of us have been putting off. Take a look at your astrological code for 8° to 12° in the Fire, Air, Cardinal, and Fixed Signs. And if you were born with Pluto at 10° in Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius and Capricorn, this week is speaking to you directly. (16:47) Pluto Direct in Aquarius 03°04' – Thursday, October 15. This week we catch our breath. After twelve transits last week, we're working with four, highlighted by the New Moon in Libra at 17°, the Leo degree, on Saturday, October 10. Mercury joins Venus Retrograde at 8° Scorpio to open the week, bringing conscious awareness to where our most intimate relationships are lifting us or draining us. Mars in Leo Sextile Uranus in Gemini gives us the courage to acknowledge what we're afraid of and see things from a different perspective. Then on the same day as the New Moon, Venus Retrograde in Scorpio Squares Mars in Leo at 7°, the Libra degree, and the goddess of love and the god of war square off. Scorpio is where we get intimate. Libra comes first for a reason. Before we share a secret, our body, or our money with anyone, what do we want, and what are we willing to give? That's what this New Moon is asking us to get clear about. So what's at 17° in your astrological code? This week we're working with 12 transits, highlighted by Mercury's transit into Scorpio and Venus beginning its retrograde in Scorpio at the Scorpio degree. Before Mercury settles into Scorpio for more than two months, the Sun and Mercury in Libra ask us to look at what's out of balance in our relationships, and at what each of us has at stake. A story about Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson shows how different those stakes can be. Then Mercury squares both planetary rulers of Scorpio on the same day, and there's no hiding. We're also asking what's at 29° in your astrological code, as Chiron and the Nodes linger at the final degree. What happens when we share the parts of ourselves we're most afraid to share? This week we're working with seven transits, and the one we've been building toward for years finally arrives: Chiron retrogrades back into Aries on Thursday, beginning its last run through the Sign before it leaves for good. After this, Chiron doesn't return to Aries until 2068. I share what happened in my own life when Chiron first entered Aries, and what I had to face to get here. This week we're working with nine transits, and four of them land on Thursday. Mercury moves into Libra, Venus moves into Scorpio, Uranus stations Retrograde in Gemini at 5°41', and the New Moon in Virgo arrives at 18°25'. So the question this week is what's at 5° in your Astrological Code, because Uranus is going to sit on that degree for months. I'm also sharing the good, the sad, and the ugly from my own week, including a wake-up call I didn't want and couldn't ignore. Venus and Mercury are about to do something with each other that I couldn't find anywhere else in the ephemeris. There's something brewing here, and it has to do with what it costs us to be vulnerable, and what opens up when we are anyway. This week we're working with twelve transits, and we're hammering them hard right out of the gate. Ten of them land in the first three days. Two headliners set the tone: Mars moves into Cancer, the Sign of its fall, pulling us back toward home, family, and the past for six weeks... and the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Leo at 20°, the Scorpio degree, asking us to open our hearts and look honestly at the intimate relationships that shaped us. Running quietly beneath all of it is a single question: do we have the courage to actually listen, to sit with a perspective that isn't our own, to feel what it stirs up in the heart, and to stay in the conversation anyway? We'll slow it down, reflect on our roots, and see what's ready to be released. (19:33) Venus in Libra Trine Pluto Retrograde in Aquarius 03° – August 8 – 11 (Saturday – Tuesday) – Monday, August 10. This week we're working with seven Transits, headlined by Venus in Libra and Mercury in Leo. Chiron turns Retrograde in Taurus at 0°52' on Monday and sets the tone for everything that follows: what do we actually value, and how much of what we think we need did we ever really choose for ourselves? The Sun in Leo illuminates what brings us joy, and the Moon in Taurus answers back that it isn't possible. Then Venus moves into Libra and Mercury moves into Leo, and suddenly we have the words. The question is whether we're willing to say them. This week we're working with six transits, nearly all of them gathering around Wednesday's Full Moon in Aquarius. That's the same day the Sun meets Jupiter in Leo, the Jupiter Cazimi, the heart of the Sun. Four of our six transits pull the Sun into Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, and Jupiter, so this is a week of being seen: stripped a little more bare than usual, exposed in the community, more illuminated than we may be all year. The question underneath is what we're willing to be honest about when it comes to what's in our hearts. There's tension too, with Venus in Virgo squaring Mars in Gemini. But there's also an opening. Where do these tensions really come from, and what would it take to move toward the fear? This week we're working with ten transits, held together by four with long reach: the Sun enters Leo, Mercury turns Direct in Cancer, the North Node Retrogrades into Aquarius, and Saturn begins its Retrograde in Aries. Leo invites us to shine and yet the Nodes are quietly asking us to loosen our grip on the center. What would it cost to step out of the spotlight and rely on the people standing around us? We close with a Substack essay, The North Node in Aquarius: The Kingdom Without a King, tracing this axis back through a century of moments when the one at the center was asked to leave. Come reflect with us. (8:39) Jupiter in Leo Opposite Pluto Retrograde in Aquarius 04° – July 12 – 24 (Sunday – Friday) – Monday, July 20. This week we're working with six transits, highlighted by the New Moon in Cancer at 21°. So much of this energy is drawing us back toward the past, toward the origins of who we are and how we love. There's a rare gathering of aspects at 4°, the Cancer degree, and one question keeps surfacing beneath all of it: do you have the courage to be honest? Is it love, or is it fear? And can you still be kind to yourself in whatever you find there? I'm showing you my heart this week. Come sit with it with me.
