Received and Believed
2026/09/27
In Received and Believed (Acts 2:37–47), the Word goes out and the Spirit pierces hearts, so that repentance is granted as God's gift—not a self-made resolve, but a turning from sin to Christ that begins in conviction and continues for a lifetime. Those who receive the message and believe are baptized, forgiven, and given the Spirit; then the same Word and Spirit form fellowship—shared life with the Father and the Son, and with one another, marked by devotion to the apostles' teaching, the breaking of bread, prayer, and open-handed love. Growth is not a technique: the Lord Himself adds daily those who are being saved and forms a holy people in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Come listen as this text shows how God still saves—and how you can tell He is saving still.
The Day of The Lord (2)
2026/09/27
Grab your Bible and join us from Whitemarsh Island Baptist church as our Sunday School class continues our study of 1 Thessalonians. Today in Chapter 5 verses 1-11 we conclude our look at The Day of The Lord, and are encouraged as Paul reminds us as believers to walk as children of the light in a world that is in the dark.
Blasphemy (BCQ 58 & 59)
2026/09/22
Grab your Bible and join us from the Savannah Mission Bible Training Center. We are commanded in the third commandment to not take the name of the Lord our God in vain. This study breaks down that commandment and we discover that the Third Commandment requires the holy and reverent use of God's names, titles, attributes, ordinances, Word, and works.
What Is Sin?
2026/09/22
Grab your bible and join us as we continue our study of basic Biblical doctrine. Today we take on the subject of defining sin according to the Scriptures and find that sin is "any transgression or lack of conformity to the Moral Law of God in disposition, thought, actor state of being."
This Jesus, Whom You Crucified!
2026/09/20
Grab your Bible and join us. We are listening to the first sermon preached in the New Testament church from Acts 2:14–36. Today we will hear Peter explains that the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost fulfills God's promise to His people. The last days have begun. Jesus of Nazareth was attested by God with miracles, wonders, and signs. He was delivered up according to God's plan, crucified by wicked hands, raised from the dead, and exalted as Lord and Christ. Therefore—repent. Call on the name of the Lord and be saved.
The Day Of The Lord
2026/09/20
The church keeps a calendar. We mark time from a grave that would not stay shut, and we mark time toward a day that has a name. Scripture does not leave that day unnamed; it calls it the Day of the Lord—sometimes simply "the day" or "that day,". This lesson is not about calculating a date (Paul says we have no need of that kind of writing). It is about knowing what kind of day is coming and what kind of people we are supposed to be while we wait. Get the day wrong and we will get the waiting wrong—growing either frantic or dull. The New Testament will allow us neither. Come and listen to this study in 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11 as we learn how to wait for that day with clarity, hope, and holy urgency.
They Have Turned To Idols (BCQ 56 & 57)
2026/09/15
Grab your Bible and join us from the Savannah Mission Bible Training Center. Tonight, using Hosea 4 as our foundational text we will discuss what is forbidden in the second commandment and God's reasoning for giving it to us. We will recognize that the entire world struggles with the sin of idolatry and even believers are capable and susceptible to turning our mind, bodies, and souls from the Creator and seeking things from the world that only God can give..
Providentially Speaking (2)
2026/09/15
Grab your Bible and join us as we finish up our study of the doctrine of God's Works of Providence. Today we will learn that this eternal reality assures us that all that God does is Holy, wise and powerfully preserving and governing all of His creation including man and his actions. God is good! God is in control!
A Gift From Heaven
2026/09/13
On the day of Pentecost the risen Christ keeps His word: the Spirit comes from heaven with wind and fire, filling waiting disciples so they they may declare the mighty works of God in the languages of the nations gathered in Jerusalem. What Sinai once wrote on stone God now writes on hearts of flesh; what Babel scattered, God now commandeers for praise; Come hear how the Passover blood, Sinai's thunder, and Pentecost fire all run through the redemptive theme fulfilled in the death, resurrection, and exaltation of Jesus— Here the Church is empowered for her mission to present Jesus to a lost and dying world. Come and join us as we learn together.
The Blessed Hope (2)
2026/09/13
Grab your Bible and join us as we continue our look at 1 Thessalonians Chapter 4 and finish up our summary Paul's comforting words to the Church regarding the blessed hope of Christ's return an the introduction of the Age to come.
The Second Commandment (BCQ 54 & 55)
2026/09/08
Whom we worship is settled by the first commandment. How we worship is settled by the second. God is not only jealous against false worship. He is jealous for true worship. He does not want our inventions, our fancies, our customs, or our images. Grab your Bible and join us from the Savannah Mission Bible Training Center as we learn that God wants what He has appointed in His Word, and His command in the second commandment is both a prohibition and a requirement. It tells us what we must not do, and it tells us what we must do. Do you know what He commands? Do you obey?
Providentially Speaking
2026/09/08
God is good and God is in control! Nothing in your life is random or undetermined. Not the hard path you did not want, not the kindness you cannot explain, not the ordinary breath you take while reading this invitation. Join us from the Chatham Transition Ministries weekly Bible study as we asks the question — What are God's works of Providence? — and answers it in plain speech: God is most holy, wise, and powerful in preserving and governing all His creatures and all their actions. Come listen as we open the Scriptures and realize the difference between creation, God's eternal plan, and His present rule. Come join us as we contemplate the hard truths of biblical revelation where sinful hands and a holy purpose meet in God's eternal decree..
The Blessed Hope
2026/09/06
As we continue to study Paul's letter to the church at Thessalonica and spend a second week in chapter 4:13-18, we will see a common theme throughout Paul's and the Apostles writings and the teachings of Jesus Himself that we are called to live holy lives as we wait on the blessed hope of the church, that being the return of Christ and His introduction of the age to come.
Unity In The Body
2026/09/06
Today in our exposition of Acts 1:12-26 we see the Spirit-wrought oneness of God's people who, though many members, are joined as one body in mind, heart, purpose, and fellowship under Christ the Head. This unity is not mere external agreement but the inward harmony that flows from the power of the Holy Spirit expressed in shared faith, common prayer, and submission to the same Lord. Grab your Bible and join us in our continuing study of The Acts of The Apostles.
A Family Affair
2026/09/01
Have you ever wondered why every one of us is a sinner—not merely because we sin, but because we were born that way? God appointed Adam as the covenant head of the human race. The covenant of works was made with him not only for himself but for all who would descend from him. When Adam willfully disobeyed, his guilt was imputed to us and a corrupted nature was conveyed to us. That is original sin: the guilt of Adam's first transgression and the inherited corruption of our whole nature. Death spread to all people because all sinned in Adam. This is not merely a dark doctrine. It is the necessary backdrop that makes the gospel shine. There is a last Adam. Where the first Adam's disobedience made many sinners, the obedience of Jesus Christ makes many righteous. Join us as we open Scripture together on Adam's covenant headship and original sin—and see why this truth drives us to the only Head who can save.
