Talking in Circles podcast has an experiential budget travel project TiCPod Explores Africa which is targeted at helping more young and upwardly mobile Africans travel on a budget across Africa, experience varied cultures, food and lifestyle. In August 2026, we went on a weekend trip to Benin and Togo from Lagos, Nigeria. What’s holding you back? After more than two years away, Talking in Circles Podcast is back, and this felt like the right question to begin with. In this episode, I’m thinking about fear, preparation, postponement and the many ways we convince ourselves we need to be more ready before we begin. I’m not advocating for more half-baked people. But at what point does preparation become hiding? And while it’s easy to look at somebody else’s five, perhaps the better question is: What am I doing with the one in my hands? Listen in.
