Anxiety: The Worry Loop (and Why Your Mind Can’t Let It Go)
2026/04/12
Why does anxiety keep coming back even when we know worrying doesn’t help?
In this episode of MiMind, we explore one of the most powerful mechanisms behind anxiety: the worry loop.
Many people think anxiety is simply an emotion that appears and disappears. But psychological and neuroscience research shows something different: very often it is worry — the constant mental process of anticipating, analyzing, and imagining future problems — that keeps anxiety alive.
Drawing on the work of psychologist Thomas Borkovec and neuroscientist Judson Brewer, we explore:
why the mind keeps worryinghow the anxiety loop formswhy the brain prefers a negative prediction over uncertaintyand how worry can become a mental habit.Through everyday examples and simple explanations, you’ll discover why anxiety is not a flaw in your mind, but a survival system trying to manage uncertainty — often in ways that unintentionally keep the cycle going.
Understanding this mechanism is the first step toward relating to anxiety in a different way.

Anxiety: It’s Not in Your Head (You’re Not Broken) | Nervous System & Neuroscience
2026/04/05
If you struggle with anxiety, you’ve probably heard phrases like: “Just relax” or “It’s all in your head.”
But what if anxiety isn’t a mental problem at all?
In this episode of MiMind, we explore anxiety from a different perspective: not as something to fix, but as a survival response of the nervous system.
You’ll learn:
why anxiety is created by the interaction between fear and future thinkinghow the amygdala and prefrontal cortex shape your experiencewhy you can’t “calm down” just by thinking differentlyhow anxiety lives in the body, not just the mindwhy you’re not broken — you’re in a stateThis is the first episode of a series on anxiety, where we combine neuroscience, mindfulness, and real-life experience to help you understand what’s really happening inside you.

Trataka Meditation: Candle Gazing to Train Focus and Mental Clarity
2026/03/29
For this meditation, you only need:
a candlea softly lit roomPlace the candle at eye level, about an arm’s length away, and take this time just for yourself.
In this guided meditation, we explore Trataka, an ancient practice that trains the mind through steady gaze.
Focusing on a flame may seem simple. But it is actually a powerful way to develop attention, mental stability and awareness.
In this episode, you’ll be guided through a practice that alternates between:
👁️ observing the flame (external attention)👁️ visualizing the flame (internal attention)
This continuous shift between seeing and imagining is the core of Trataka.
From a neuroscience perspective, this practice helps:
train sustained attentionreduce mental distractionstrengthen focus without forceimprove the connection between perception and imaginationDuring the meditation, you may notice:
✨ the flame appearing to move or “breathe”✨ changes in color or brightness✨ a subtle glow around the light✨ moments where the internal image appears and fades
These are not distractions. They are signs of a more refined perception and a stabilizing mind.
This practice can help you:
🌿 calm the constant flow of thoughts🌿 develop concentration without rigidity🌿 strengthen present-moment awareness🌿 create space between stimulus and reaction
It is a simple practice — but deeply powerful.
You can use it whenever your mind feels scattered, tired, or overloaded.

Rewire Your Brain Through the Body | Guided Neural Meditation
2026/03/26
In this guided meditation, you’ll experience a neural body scan, a practice that goes beyond relaxation and becomes a true training for your brain.
Following the previous episode on meditation as going and returning, this practice brings awareness deeper into the body, helping you explore what happens in your nervous system as attention moves from one area to another.
This is not just mindfulness. This is neuroplasticity in action.
During this meditation, you will:
activate your somatosensory cortex, improving body awarenessstimulate the insula, the core of interoception and emotional awarenessstrengthen the connection between brain and body through the vagus nervetrain your ability to feel, not just thinkEvery time you bring attention to a part of your body, you are literally reshaping your neural map.Areas that feel “silent” begin to come alive.Subtle sensations become clearer.Your body becomes more accessible, more readable.
This practice supports you in:
✨ stepping out of autopilot mode✨ reconnecting with your body in a deeper way✨ developing emotional awareness (starting from the body)✨ regulating your nervous system without forcing it
Whether you are new to meditation or already experienced, this practice offers a grounded and science-based way to deepen your awareness.
You can practice lying down or sitting comfortably. There is nothing to achieve, only to notice.
Because meditation is not about controlling the mind. It’s about training the brain to feel.

Meditazione Neurale: Allenare il Cervello Attraverso il Corpo (Body Scan Guidato)
2026/03/23

What Happens in the Brain When We Meditate, one breath at a time | Mindfulness and neuroscience
2026/03/16
What actually happens in the brain when we meditate?
Why does the mind constantly drift between the past and the future? And what happens in the brain the moment we notice we’ve been distracted… and gently return to the breath?
In this episode of MiMind, we explore the connection between mindfulness and neuroscience to understand why meditation is not just a relaxation technique, but a real training for the mind.
Together we’ll look at how different neural networks in the brain are involved in meditation, and why in modern life our attention is often pulled away by automatic thinking.
A journey through science, awareness, and lived experience, to better understand what happens inside the mind when we practice presence.
In the next episode, we’ll go a step further and practice a guided body scan meditation together, connecting the experience of the body with the neuroscience behind mindfulness.

Guided Meditation for Stress & Recovery | Reset Your Mind and Nervous System
2026/03/09
In this episode you will find a guided meditation for stress relief and mental recovery, designed to help you slow down after a demanding day and allow your nervous system to gradually return to balance.
In the previous episodes of the podcast we explored burnout, chronic stress, and the difficulty many people experience when it comes to truly recovering.
Many of the breaks we take during the day are not real recovery. Often we simply switch stimuli: checking our phone, scrolling notifications, filling every moment of silence.
But real recovery works differently.
From a psychophysiological perspective, recovery is the process through which the body and mind reduce accumulated stress and return toward a more regulated state.
This guided mindfulness meditation is designed exactly for that: helping you pause, reconnect with your body, and allow your nervous system to slow down naturally.
During this practice we will move through three simple steps:
• reconnecting with the body• observing the breath without forcing it• allowing the internal rhythm to slow down naturally
This is not a meditation meant to “empty the mind” or force relaxation.
Instead, it is a space to cultivate awareness, calm the nervous system, and create the conditions for recovery.
You can listen to this meditation:
– after a demanding workday– during moments of stress or overload– during a short break in your day– before going to sleep– whenever you feel the need to slow down
Even a few minutes of mindful presence can help the nervous system move out of continuous activation.
Take this moment for yourself.
Breathe.
Slow down.
And allow your body to remember how to return to balance.

Recovery & Burnout: The Real Foundation of Resilience | Workplace Stress & Mindfulness
2026/03/02
In the previous episode, we explored burnout and workplace stress. In this episode, we focus on one crucial question: how do we truly recover?
Burnout, defined by the World Health Organization as an occupational phenomenon resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed, is often the result of prolonged activation without adequate recovery.
But recovery is not simply “switching off” or distracting ourselves.
It is a biological process of nervous system regulation that allows psychological detachment from work, reduces emotional exhaustion, and strengthens long-term resilience.
In this episode, we explore:
• micro-recovery during the workday• the transition between work and personal life• deep recovery and individual needs• the role of organizations in burnout prevention• mindfulness as a tool for stress regulation and awareness
This science-based and practical episode is for professionals, leaders, HR managers, and anyone interested in stress management, employee wellbeing, work-life balance, and sustainable performance.
If this episode resonates with you, share it with someone who might need it today.
